If you're looking for a cute little place with a lot of history for breakfast, check out The Diner. It features a long bar with lots of stools, side tables, and a very interesting atmosphere. We had the eggs, hash, browns, bacon, and toast special and it was pretty good. The service was amazingly fast and very friendly. Give it a try next time you're on Main Street in Fond du Lac.

I stopped here at 11:45 am on a Tuesday and the place was packed. I took the last open booth in the place. My server came right over and took my drink order. When she returned with my drink, I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger with fries. The menu was not that large and was lacking typical diner meals. Normally I don't order burgers, but that was the best-looking thing on the menu to me that day. She returned with my burger after a short time, and I was excited to see it. The bun was very fresh and not typical for a burger bun. Under that the bacon looked fresh and meaty, not your typical bacon on a burger. The meat patties were nothing special, but I must tell you, this was a good hamburger. I really enjoyed it. As far as the French fries go, they could use some help. If they would cook the fries longer, that would greatly improve them. They were undercooked in my opinion, and very disappointing compared to the burger. Overall, this is a nice diner in a very old building. The wait staff was good and as far as the food goes, I would stop here and eat again, and I would get the burger.... It really was that good.

No frills or fancy meals. Just solid American food at ridiculously low prices. Friendly service, and classic breakfast diner ambiance make this a place I will return to. Did I mention the ridiculously low prices? The most expensive menu item is like $7.00, and adding coffee to that is a whopping $0.50 Connie's is cash-only, but they have an ATM right by the door.

A great cafe for early breakfast in Fond Du Lac. It's like stepping back in time with old style breakfast counter and red vinyl booth style seating. I had the corn beef and hash and eggs, cooked just the way I ordered. The coffee was brewed to a good medium, not to dark or watered down. Service was great. A great way to start the rainy day. Now back to Texas!!

I wanted to start my day trip with a breakfast from some place that was off the beaten path and one of a kind so I chose this place. This place looks old school on Main St with high ceilings, lunch counter and booths along the walls and it's very tight. The menu is small and cheap with the usual breakfast items. I wanted to keep it simple today so I got 2 eggs, sausage links and toast. Since I was not having hash browns to soak up my yoke I got my eggs over medium which were perfect. The toast was Texas and nicely done. The sausage links were skinless that were tasty and reminded me of the Farmland skinless links. I'm a big fan of the toast sandwich so I put the sausage and eggs on my toast for a breakfast sandwich which was good. For a simple $6 breakfast I can't complain and got just what I was looking for to start my day.

Connies quaint little diner has great coffee, a modest menu and quality products. Sitting at the counter I appreciate the cleanliness of the grill and fryer area. Connie and her staff do a great job maintaining the place. Thanks for breakfast!

Only place I've ever been to that asks how you want your bacon cooked according to a chart. Great little spot for breakfast.

Slight crunch, soft pimento. Delicious! Bulgogi- sandwich was for lunch. It was insane!!! Packed with sweet flavor and the toasted bun was perfect. I added fresh jalapeños for that sweet heat! Miso sesame ahi tuna- my buddy had this, and I almost ate half haha. It was amazing. Super shocked how fresh tuna was in Wisconsin! Service: Aaliegha was amazing! Super sweet and such a fun personality. Sit at the bar and chat her up! Ambiance: They did incredible with this place! I know the owners and these girls have busted their butts on this place and it shows. Hands down best food in Fond Du Lac. I used to live here and I travel all over, this is top notch! I expected a bit of a nicer vibe, especially for Valentine's Day. Wasn't the case. What they don't show in most of the photos you see online is they have a bar area right when you walk in with quite a few TVs. Then in the further dining area there are slot machines off to the side.... I would also say the servers are not dressed in a particularly appropriate attire in my eyes. I saw multiple servers in short/tight crop tops, more fit for a night out than serving a Valentines Dinner. Just not what I expected, given how they present themselves online. Now to the food! I will say, MAJOR PROPS for how well seasoned everything is. BUT I added chicken to my pasta dish and it was quite rubbery and fakey feeling NOT WORTH ADDING ON. Then on the elote rice, we added shrimp, and the shrimp was cut up into tiny pieces, hardly perceptible. Both appetizers were 5/5 great! I really like the beautiful church atmosphere and the appetizers give me hope. I just wish they would commit to being a finer dining establishment or add more fun casual elements. I think they can't decide what their deal is. Catering to multiple audiences makes both suffer. And maybe invest more into high quality chicken and larger shrimp on the rice.

Gorgeous space right on the lake and even though we were there in winter, it was still a pretty sight to look out the windows. The restaurant was packed with regulars and the it was a fun Friday night, I'm glad they took reservations. We started out with drinks, which had a separate menu. Not the easiest to navigate for the specials as they just had funny names and not what was in it. Overall my old fashioned was super sweet due the maple syrup, so I would probably just stick with your usual order. As for the food, the CHEESE CURDS were truly some of the best that I've had! Ooey, gooey, deliciousness! Perfect crunch and also melted in your mouth. The menu itself is very extensive and there is something for everyone to eat. I appreciated that most of the entrees came with a soup or salad, though I will say that none of the food absolutely wow'ed me. The dessert was interesting. The brownie was classic and the gluten free cheesecake..was gluten free. Very strange in my opinion, but appreciate that they have it as an option. Overall, I would definitely come here for a fish fry, a drink, and I can totally see this place hopping in the summer.
