First time here. We were on our way to the Dells and hungry for some breakfast. The place has a nice retro feel to it. The stainless steel diner has been well cared for and updated enough to make it more comfortable for staff and customers. There are some tables out front and two different seating areas inside (it's bigger than it looks). All the cooking is done behind the counter, where you can see it all happening. It can be a bit noisy as the metal spatulas hit the grill, but you can still have a reasonable conversation. It's a busy place, and the servers are efficient, with a no nonsense approach to taking your orders. The menu is large, with lots of traditional favorites (no avocado toast here). There were two pages of breakfast items, and it was a tough decision. We ordered a number of different items: corned beef hash, pancakes, and potato pancakes with eggs and sausage. It did not take very long to get our food. Very good portions, everything was plenty hot, and all flavorful. Everyone was happy with their choices. The corned beef hash was not the kind you get from a can. It was large, fresh pieces. The pork sausages were plump and well seasoned. The poached eggs were perfect. My only complaint: I ordered my potato pancakes extra crispy, but they didn't seem "extra" to me (extra extra crispy next time). The regular pancakes were good, but not fluffy enough to be "excellent". A very nice place for breakfast, and somewhere we would return to.

Really enjoyed our visit to Broadway Diner in Baraboo. The classic diner atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming, and every dish we ordered was genuinely great. The staff was friendly and on top of things. It's a smaller spot, so plan to get there early, especially on busy mornings. A fantastic local diner experience.

They do a great job at this place. My wife and I like to go here for breakfast. Your order gets taken pretty fast and then the food comes up very fast. The prices are reasonable. Mornings this place can get very busy. Especially in the summer when people are vacationing in and around Baraboo and Wisconsin Dells. They serve large portions. The waitresses do a great job. They normally will check in with you half way through your meal to make sure everything is ok. I only had one time where I had to have my eggs remade because they were just to raw for my licking and I wanted the yokes don't just a little more. It this is a great place! They get you seated right away and once your order is out in you get your food right away. I have had the eggs and toast. The pancakes here are very good. My wife likes to get here's with chocolate chips in them. I tried a bite and they were very good. My wife also likes the eggs and bacon or an omelet with a side of bacon. If I remember right the bacon is a thicker cut. It's very good. The prices are reasonable. I like that even though they serve large shouts of people they still get your order up very fast and I like that they keep the place clean. They clean up your table very fast after you leave. And even though you may have a little trouble finding a parking spot on some days and the inside looks packed, you will get seating very fast and your order comes up very fast. Great place from the waitresses to the people that are cooking up your food. Highly Recomended place!

What a unique experience in Baraboo Wisconsin. It felt like stepping back in time. This beautiful nostalgic 1950s type diner is fantastic. It is small, but we had great service and a great breakfast. Not to mention the aesthetics. If you're looking for a great little breakfast place that offers a unique experience, you found it here.

Wouldn't return, I really wanted to like it I did, from the outside super cute. Inside cramped and loud. I don't even mind cramped and loud per se but then my Bloody Mary wasn't great. Weak. The mix was like tomato juice nothing to jazz it up. I had the eggs benedict it was just kind of flat, the hollandaise lacked seasoning and flavor just tasted like blah. My husband said the same of his meal. Which I can't even remember what he had it was so forgetful. The homemade bread was the reason I gave one star for the effort. Not good. Won't be back. Oh and the ham was so thin there is no way it could get any thinner.

Driving through Wisconsin going home to Wheaton, Illinois from Eden Prairie, MN, my hubby had me search for a highly rated, yet affordable brunch place along the way. Broadway Diner is a little off the main southbound highway, but when I read the story behind it and some positive reviews, I really wanted to try it out. How cool is it that this is an actual old time, well used diner from the East Coast that was transported to the Midwest and restored to its original beauty! Frank Sinatra era music played pleasantly in the background. Very happy and friendly wait staff wearing black shirts that said "Body by Bacon" greeted and served us. I loved the hollandaise sauce atop the Farmers Market Benedict Scramble I ordered, and that it came with a side of fresh fruit. My husband's Corned Beef Hash was a bit salty for him. Coffee wasn't as robust as we like it, but not bad. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Who would've guessed....a delicious, juicy ribeye steak and eggs at a 50s style diner! But yes! And it was a very good steak. Not one of those thin breakfast steaks but a real ribeye! Hash browns perfectly seasoned, buttery and crispy! And a homemade sourdough toast to top it off!

A rather simple diner with great prices. Staff were friendly and the food was basic, but good. It was very busy, so, I'd guess it's popular with locals. You don't come across many like this anymore & it hit the spot, as nobody wanted to cook.

The atmosphere (diner) was great; our service was less than pleasant and the food (unfortunately) was rather non-descript.

I'm not sure when this place was built, but everything felt clean & new and the seating was very comfortable. The menu had a nice variety of entrees, but we were definitely disappointed that they don't offer an appetizer selection for lunch. My husband ordered the jalapeño chicken flatbread and I went with the roasted vegetable risotto with grilled chicken. We both really enjoyed our dishes and did share so we didn't have food envy. It was really kind of them to offer us a complimentary dessert when they found out today was our 25th wedding anniversary; we selected the bread pudding and it was delicious!! Other than not having apps available on the lunch menu, our only other gripe was that it took forever to get our bill and pay.

It was not busy when we arrived for an early dinner, and most of the staff congregated in and around a booth under a TV. You want a refill, more napkins, some parm & red pepper flakes for your pizza, or for dishes to be cleared away? Just look towards that TV and pray your server emerges. If there was a manager, I'd guess that's where they were hiding too. We ordered a hodge-podge of things since this would be our only chance to visit: spicy Hawaiian pizza, quesabirria, lamb lollipops, and charred carrots. The lamb and the quesabirria were the obvious standouts. Leagues above the other two items. They had so much flavor and were a delight to eat. The pizza did not taste like it came out of a wood-fired oven and was very heavy on the cheese (and that's saying something, coming from a couple of Wisconsinites). The carrots were nowhere near charred; the chunks were all vastly different sizes so not all of them were cooked, and they desperately needed that caramelization for depth of flavor.
