First experience at a Perkins and boy was it Perfect! Compared to a IHOP or a Dennys, Perkins was twice as good if not better. Fries and tots were as good as they can get. The Benedict eggs were amazing. I got the Wildberry pie, oh my goodness, same for the caramel apple pie. All of it was wonderful, will be back tomorrow since we are in town for only a few days. This place is horrible, it is dirty and the servers ignore you. We were there for 30 minutes after placing our order and food started coming out to tables that got seated 15-20 minutes after us. When I asked the server about the food it's like he never even thought to ask or figure out where it was. He said the order never got placed and could we tell him what we ordered so he could put the order in again!!!!! The man sittting across from us had finished his entire meal and was waiting for syrup for his waffle for 10 minutes so he could eat his cold food. There are no excuses for any of this. The server was horrible and so was the manager for not being on top of this. I will never go here again and I hope that no one else will. I came to eat here at the Danville Perkins the service a food was amazing. This is easily one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I personally ordered the beverage and slice of pie and it was quite delectable. Our sever was Kelly, the blonde. She was amazing and very kind. She would always check on us to make sure everything was to our preference. Although the restaurant was a little loud, it was a busy Saturday evening so I find it acceptable. I was pleasantly surprised. I have not been in a Perkins in years. I always thought they could be less than clean etc. but this location was clean and new interior. I am on a Keto diet and I ordered the country skillet meal. I asked for gravy and hash browns to be on the side and an extra side of bacon. I got a normal meal and an extra side of hash browns. When talking to Jasmine she said I thought you ordered it like this... I then seemed like she was going to walk away but I said I was unable to eat it and she did take it away and several minutes she came back with a new plate. Extra gravy on top and the hash browns that come with the plate were no where to be seen. She also never offer any condiments. Who ever gave them 3 stars was just being nice. She then said she took off my meal and was sorry for the mistake and after further review of my receipt I was charged for the mess up and also charged for the side of bacon that I never got. We just came from a day at Knoebels and we were starving, we got there like 930ish, our waitress named was Kayla, we were seated in a booth, there were 2 people close to us that were already eating, we didn't really care about the time because we were busy with our pictures, the serving time was probably 40 mins ish, when we got our food, it was dry. My husband ordered country fried chicken breakfast with the side of eggs and fries, the chicken was good but it wasn't fresh from the pan, his fries was way too dry! I ordered The Everything and addtl order of rice, the cheese that they put on my eggs were so old and dry too.. meaning our food has been sitting on the kitchen counter for a while! The only thing that they didn't screw up was the rainbow pancake my 6 yr old daughter ordered. So anyway, my husband asked for replacement fries, it was delivered but it was half done.. and that was it. My husband decided it was over, i had to finish mine because I was starving. We talked to the manager and the manager just didnt have that customer handling skills, the people that work the night shift just do not have the very best customer service skills, poor time management in the kitchen, no communication skills between servers,manager and the kitchen people. Had lunch at this Perkins yesterday. Were seated promptly and thats where it ended. We had to hunt down the waitress to take our order, then it took a good hour to get our lunch. Lunch was actually and surprisingly good. A slight urine order penetrated the air in the dining room, which is quite a ways from the restroom. My visit to the restroom before leaving was not good. Floor was very sticky, urine smell super strong..........yuck. Husband said same in the men's room. I imagine this place is super popular among white people in Central Pennsyltucky, but there's nothing special about this place at all. I haven't been to Perkins in years, but hungry boys forced a stop home from a boy scout trip in Morris. I used to love their chili breadbowl, but alas, it no longer exists but in my memory. The menu has a great selection of breakfast items, and my burrito wrap was satisfactory. The wrapping granny got good reviews, and the classic burgers went down without complaints. Everything on the menu was $10, so don't expect to walk out without dropping a Hamilton per person. Service was good, but the food was a little slow on the draw. Satisfactory, but not exciting. As is with most chains of this type, the food is mediocre but you can usually find a couple of choices that are okay. However, on our last visit, we ended up walking out after sitting and watching tables get finished and cleaned off and another table next to us get seated and waited on long after we arrived. Can't believe I'm saying it, but I seriously love this Perkins. I often go for an early dinner on Sunday and enjoy it! There's a pile of options, with a more recently expanded selection of healthy options. The servers are nice and attentive and my meals come out piping hot. First of all. I hate Perkins....usually. Not only was this Perkins clean. The food was great. The pie was fresh and delicious. And the staff were so kind. Everything came out perfect. My waitress brandy was a freaking dream. Seriously so nice. This is my first review ever in my life, and it was that great of an experience I had to make a yelp account. This particular Perkins has a nice atmosphere, is always very clean, and the wait staff is typically friendly. The manager here is also fun, he's a short little guy, and has checked in to make sure the service was acceptable every time I've been here. The food comes out quick, have always accommodated any special requests I've made, and the price is reasonable. You can also get breakfast all day, and dessert is to die for! Walked in, was seated, silverware was filthy, had to ask for a clean set. Got the food, it was cold and tasteless. Figured who can screw up biscuits n gravy right? Well, they did. This is the second time me and my significant other have dined at this establishment, and for a chain restaurant this place is wonderful. Our server Dawn... Gave absolutely terrible service... This is the main thing that can be said about our experience here today. Started off with my boyfriend getting apple juice when he asked for Coke... Like really??? How do you confuse that!!! The sausage biscuits and gravy meal came out cold and hard. There was a burger on the same ticket as the rest of our food and you could tell everything sat in the window waiting for it and got cold.
