This Chick-fil-A is a franchisee location on the campus of Bloomsburg University run by Aramark. It…read moreis located on the ground floor of the Soltz Hall, but is open to the public. If the university is closed, more than likely this location will also be closed, so you should check before choosing to dine here. Parking on campus is restricted until 5PM, but there are a limited amount of metered spots across the street (25 cents equals 25 minutes). While this location is on a college campus, it is still very well run like other Chick-fil-A's. Differences include having Pepsi due to the campuses contract, serving a more limited menu and everything is in to go bags. All registers were fully manned during my visit due to the crowd, and service was so fast I had not finished paying by the time my food arrived. This location only takes Visa and MasterCard. There is more than adequate seating in the common area shared with the QDOBA Mexican Eats. I found my Nuggets to be fried just a little harder than at a standard location, but they were still good, and plenty of Chick-fil-A sauce was available. Chick-fil-A is possibly the best thing to arrive at Bloomsburg University in some time and I'm glad after the protests of 2012 that they are finally open. This might end up being a resource that actually attracts members of the community and alumni to the campus.

I went into Danville Subway on Bloom Road after ordering ahead- I read the notice on the door that…read moresaid by order of the governor (COVID) everyone MUST wear a mask. 3 young men were ordering at the sandwich making area and none had masks on. I would have left but I ordered ahead for 2 who were working on my landscaping. When I told the girl at the counter she should ask them to put on masks she said it is recommended but not required despite the note on the door saying "must" which was highlighted . No regard for other customers. Very disappointed. Will not go back. Needless to say I took great care in sanitizing my hands, car, etc after I left. What is the law? Is she correct? this is what I found on PA DOH website: Q. If the customer refuses to wear a mask will they be turned away or will the customer be refused service? A. Yes, with the exception for businesses that provide medication, medical supplies, or food, which must offer another means for the customer to purchase goods if they the customer is unable to wear a mask. Those means could include home delivery or contactless curbside pick- up. However, individuals who cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition (including children under the age of 2 years per CDC guidance) may enter the premises and are not required to provide documentation of such medical condition. If that occurs, and if the business is not able to provide a mask, the business should consider providing information on mask making , distributing "how to" flyers, or sharing locations to purchase masks. So seems to me subway is not following the rules! I won't go back and neither will my friends/family.

The beer selection and interior design were more impressive than the food…read more Both beers we ordered were poured well and had good citrus and hoppy notes. No complaints there. Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.

My only issue was the beer cheese. It tasted too much like beer. The beer flavor was definitely over powering. The other special sauce wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. A typical thousand island type of sauce. But over all it was pretty solid. I would comeback and try something else.
