No. Just no. I cannot say I was impressed with anything. I give it a second star because the guy who waited on us was okay, if a little inpatient. So, we'd never been to a Five Guys but had been repeatedly told the burgers were very good but way too expensive for what you get. Having been there, I'm more inclined to wholeheartedly agree with the second part but not with the first. Cut to the chase: 3 burgers, 3 fries, and 3 drinks (two of which were shakes): $53. Had the burgers been remotely memorable or the choices of things to put on the burgers interesting, there is still no excuse for the price of that meal. There is simply no justification for it. But the burger, while not bad, was NOT memorable. And the choices were absurdly uninteresting. One kind of cheese? If I'm ordering mushrooms, no matter how not fresh, I don't want American singles. Gotta go Swiss. But you don't have that option. I mean, i could have ordered what amounts to a Whopper Jr., but then I might as well do down the street and order the actual thing for cents on the dollar. They have signs comparing themselves positively to Ted's Montana Grill. I suppose that's because not many people have been to the latter. I have. Five Guys doesn't hold a candle in quality and Ted's isn't near the price. The decor is bright white tile on the wall with clown red offset. Just personal taste, but there is nothing welcoming about that. It's cold and stark and feels like the offspring of an old time soda fountain and a subway bathroom. The fries were just okay and the shake unmemorable. The prices for "meh" food is absurd and borderline theft. I promise, they will not get a second chance. There are vastly better options, and I won't be back. TIP: If you don't mind the drive, try Odd Fellas in Lock Haven. From 8:20-9:00 pm, only one employee was working, other than the manager that popped out, put his gloves on, then immediately took them off and returned to the back in less than a minute to leave the employee (Ali) there to deal with several in store and door dash orders. Multiple people were waiting. There is obviously a problem with managers and/or other staff taking advantage of their status to leave the lower man with a load of work. I want to give this store 1 star, but Ali was beyond above and beyond. As soon as I walked in I could see him surrounded with cooking burgers and tickets, fryer smoke piling up. He asked if I was picking up or ordering, I replied, "ordering, but take your time." He then asked how many patties I wanted, threw them on, ran to the back for more, threw on more gloves to tend to the other orders. I was surprised by his bright spirit when he had the opportunity to take my order. In the 40 minutes I was there, he must've completed atleast 6 full orders ALONE. I left and he was still bouncing around. The food that he alone made me (bacon cheeseburger, fries, and milkshake) was all perfect. There is an evident problem with what is going on here. Ali deserves to be in charge of all the other employees that were obviously taking it easy. Seeing that manager come out and leave without doing a thing was truly disturbing. The BLT's are among the top 5% of all BLT's. However- six pieces of bacon they use- yes 6(!) is excessive so I order 3 instead. I came here with my son around 4:30 today, and my son ordered a hot dog. I was made aware that they were out of buns, sure, no problem there. However, when I told the (what I assume to be manager (a man with a gold chain and tattoos)) that I would like a hamburger bun, I was given a tin with a hot dog sloppily thrown inside and no bun at all. I had to assemble the hot dog for him which was just inconvenient to do, it's fine, things happen. The food was good as always, however, the bad review comes from watching this man be rude to not only me, but other customers in the store. Finally, when the man was blatantly rude to his (what I assume to be) teenage female coworker, I wanted to make sure his store was made aware of his behavior. Being mean to a female coworker who is asking questions and doing a better customer service job than the manager, is not acceptable and was so unfortunate to see in today's day and age. All I have to say is MILKSHAKES! This location has them, and with like 10 flavors you can mix and combine together. OH, and if you're feeling crazy, you can even add bacon to them! WTF?! I'm a huge 5 Guys and Fries fan and the burgers are great. My rating is based on their fries...be sure to request minimal to no salt or that is all you will taste. I'm so glad they opened up a Five Guys in Williamsport! The burgers here are the best in town no question about it. Food prices are a little above what you would pay at Wendy's, Burger King or McDonald's. And the nice thing is you can get milkshakes if you like them. This place definitely wants to contribute to America's obesity considering the regular burgers are all double patties. I'm glad the lady at the counter told me about that my first time there. So I was smart to get a Junior bacon cheeseburger, I might last a day or two more before I die of heart disease. Be careful not to get the large fries because the small one is already so much they throw a lot of extra fries in the bag it's overflowing. They call it five guys but there was probably at least eight or nine guys behind the counter serving and making food, but it still took a while to get the food. The food here is a giant step up from fast food in the area. The burgers are big and the quality is great! The milkshakes are incredible and there are so many different variations to choose from. The atmosphere is cool! The place is always hopping,the open kitchen is cool and the peanuts while you wait is a nice touch. However some gripes I have is the price is a bit high. My mom,dad and I all got a cheeseburger,french fries and milkshake and the bill was almost 50 dollars. That's a bit high for a run of the mill burger joint. Another gripe is the fries could have had a little more personality. They were all droopy and greasy in the cup and they're just your average carnival fries,I don't think a cup is the best way to serve french fries,personally I would rather have have them toss the fries in the bag and not bother with the cup. But I think the restaurant is pretty decent,price is the only thing keeping us from returning frequently. read more
