Palmer's is a very cute, small town Pennsylvania diner with old school ambiance, and very high quality breakfast. These were some of the best eggs and pancakes we've ever had! During our first visit, we ordered eggs over easy with bacon, home fries and toast - the eggs were fresh and cooked perfectly, and the home fries with onions were delicious. The next day, we ordered bacon, egg & cheese sandwiches on toast - the fried eggs were great, the cheese was melted perfectly, and the bacon was crispy but not overdone. We also shared a short stack of chocolate chip pancakes during both of our visits - and they were amazing! They weren't overloaded with chocolate chips, and the pancake tasted similar to birthday cake batter. It was a nice sweet treat to have right after finishing our main breakfast dishes. The service was also fast and courteous both times. Palmer's Diner will absolutely be one of our usual spots to stop by whenever we're in the area. read more

We enjoyed breakfast here, the food was great, with fun decor...the nostalgia factor is appealing and our waitress has worked there over 30 years, which says good things about the owners! Nothing better than a well-run family business serving their community with good food and great prices! read more

Cute little diner. Good breakfast and cleaner than most diners I've been to. The potatoes are solid. read more

Palmer's Diner - Sos and potatoes - Diners Near Me - Marshallton, Pennsylvania

This was such an incredible find! We were looking for a diner to go to in the area on July 4th since all of our local places were closed for the holiday. Although this was a 40 minute ride, it was well worth it! Super friendly staff and fresh delicious breakfast. This is definitely an "Old Americana" diner and we're looking forward to going back in the future. read more

Palmer's Diner - a woman sitting on a bench in front of a diner - Diners Near Me - Marshallton, Pennsylvania

One of our favorite spots for a quick breakfast. Coffee never disappoints. Our wait staff are always friendly and tentative.

On 4/22/2023 my wife and I went to palmers for breakfast got there at 7am was told to sit where we wanted so we did and we sat there for 15 minutes and was totaly ignored there were at least 4 employees there that we notice and there were about 10 customers there after being ignored we decided to leave read more

I went here for Sunday brunch after mass. It was definitely a old school restaurant with 80s posters and jukeboxes. And rightfully so, most of the customers were well in their years. I got the Mexican omelette. Three eggs with ham, salsa, pepper, and hot sauce. It was served with toast. It had that old American road side diner taste to it. The waitress was super friendly and waited on us hand and foot. Definitely a spot to check out if you are in need of nostalgia! read more

This is a hard one for me to rate, because almost everything about it was excellent except for one thing I specifically order at diners in PA. Breakdown: Atmosphere/decor: absolutely perfect for diner-lovers (don't let the outside fool you). Service: not bad, not outstanding My meal: Sunny-side-up eggs on white toast with a side of scrapple. Eggs were perfect. Scrapple wasn't. It was much mushier and less coagulated and greasier and not crisped. I *love* scrapple, so that was a disappointment. Still, I'd return for the atmosphere alone. Parking is tight. Consider abandoned lot just before the restaurant. read more

Little diner in Shamokin is tinyyyyy and extremely busy. 50's decor, and almost 50's prices. Yea, it aren't New York - everything is ridiculously cheap. Food is fresh, simple, and quick. My uttermost props to all waitresses and cooks, who do not stop to breathe and work like busy bees. Pretty good for pit stop on the middle of nowhere. read more

Very popular restaurant known for its breakfasts. Rule of thumb is to get here early to beat the crowd if you're on your way somewhere, otherwise watch for the odd hours. The steak and eggs I ate here was some of the best I've ever had. read more

Typical dinner food with great prices. The eggs are usually a little underdone for my liking and the sausage links are gigantic but have been undercooked the two times that I had them. Everything else has been great. The service staff has always been polite and attentive and the vintage 50's atmosphere will definitely take you back in time. Also, bring cash because they don't accept credit cards. read more

They can make eggs and toast but don't order the scrapple if your not from the area and know how it should be cooked. I'm from Delaware (where most scrapple is made) and was so offended by the scrapple and how soggy (yes soggy) it was. I tried a small bite and l was wondering when the cook was gonna stroll by my home to kick my dog to further offend me. Denny's is a 5* restaurant compared to this and I haven't eaten at one since college when I only had $5 in my pocket. read more

My fiance' took me here for breakfast. Although I'm not a real coffee drinker, I opted for one anyway. It was actually pretty good, not at all strong and bitter. Served up in a cup you would expect to see in a 50's style diner. I had the SOS and when it arrived, it was a plateful. (A 50's style plateful) I almost didn't even need the side of home fries, but they were a welcoming addition. Everything here screamed (to me) nostalgic diner, even down to the jukebox at each booth. The food was awesome & the service was great too. I felt so comfortable here, I can't wait to try more on the menu. Pineapple stuffed French Toast was one of the specials this day. Holy Moly. read more

We're staying at kneobels and decided to stop here for breakfast. Great food, quick, friendly service. My wife and I sat at the counter and watched the cooks pretty much dance they were so in tune with each other. Only drawback was the only sweetener other than sugar was sweet & low. A definite stop anytime we are in the area though. Stopped in the second day, showed the cook the review and she popped up with some Splenda. Talk about service. Also the chipped beef was awesome! read more

Cute little diner with a retro (1950s) feel. Food was ok. Prices are great! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would come back for breakfast again. :) read more

Great food- better than fast food- and quick. Must have cash- though. But that's ok because

Palmers is only open mornings and is quite busy. Decorated like a 50's diner, it definitely has that feel. Great specials here, like fruit stuffed french toast, yum. Eggs on the cheap. Also sandwiches and things if you are in the mood for lunch. read more

Classic old diner... There are not many options around and this is the best one, at least for breakfast. I would definitely return, when back in the area. The service was excellent. read more

Went in Memorial Day and they were busy. We were waited on right away and ordered take out. They were on the ball on moving fast and smoothly. Ours came out quickly and correct and tasted great. That's how a restaurant should be run! read more

This is the best little diner. I have only had their breakfast food. It is like going back in time! The food is great. The prices are great. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. You can get a really nice breakfast for two for under $15 bucks. I like to get the two egg combo. It's two eggs how you want them with toast, bacon or sausage, and home fries with onions. You can get them without the onions, but they are so much better with them. Pair it with a cup of their coffee and you will leave full and happy! read more

love the atmosphere of Palmer's. Cheap, good, and open early. Home fries are amazing and doesn't take long for the place to fill up. Open early enough for 3rd shifters to eat right after shift. limited hours only serves until lunch. read more

Good breakfast the price is right

Good food, cheap prices and great service. What more could you ask for? Great place for breakfast..

If you want a good breakfast, in a 1950's era diner, then this is the place to go. It's small and sometimes you may have to wait in line to get in, but the wait is worth it. The atmosphere is fun, the waitresses are wonderful, the food is delicious, you are taken back to the 50's with the decor, the prices are so affordable and the portions are very big. You won't go away hungry. Next time you're looking for someplace new to eat breakfast or lunch stop at Palmer's. read more
