This is gonna be a tough review. Second time here, first time was over the winter and had their apple cider sangria and appetizers. It was GREAT! Dinner on the other hand was NOT anything to rave about. Our drinks were great! Lol Appetizer was the flat bread, kitchen burned it twice, so by the time it came out so did our main dish. Also ordered the sea food gumbo (not bad) but food flavorful food should not require hot sauce. First main dish was the chicken Orleans: fried chicken with eh sauce and clearly not fresh veggies for $22 Second main dish was Seafood duo: scallops dish was over done, good attempt at au gratin sauce but scallops way over cooked. Clam strips and frys. Oh and the tarter sauce tasted like onions. Come for the atmosphere and the drinks, not a fan of over priced flavorless food. Kitchen needs much needed help!!!

They have the best steamed broccoli I have ever had with a great Atlantic salmon and beautifully prepared meals. The place is nice and modern with great lighting and a bar. The servers are great and attentive with a grand personality. Although the restaurant is placed next to the largest golf course in the area, it is totally worth the troubles. I highly recommend.

The Iron Fork is adorable, but unfortunately the food and service here fell short. We were a large party of 9 and upon arrival they told us there was no reservation on file for us. After 15 minutes, the host finally seated us at a table behind the bar. We ordered a number of items to share. The appetizers I tried were: 1) Queso (Blend of ground beef and chorizo sausage with melted cheese layered on top finished with sour cream and served with salsa, guacamole and house chips; $9) 2) Hot Pepper Fried Calamari (Tossed in house garlic butter and banana peppers; $8) The Queso was actually pretty good. I recommend ordering this if you are indecisive of what appetizer to get. The batter on the Hot Pepper Fried Calamari was very thick, almost like onion rings which I did not like. I personally love Calamari that has airy, light and crisp batter and doesn't taste rubbery. For my main, I had the Impossible Burger (Plant-based Impossible Burger w/cheddar and leek mayo; $13). I've had the Impossible Burger before and it's one of my favorite burgers, but I thought the one I had here was unappetizing. The Impossible patty tasted a little dry (I didn't even know this was possible!) and the bun tasted like those cheaper, all white bread "Great Value Hamburger Buns" unfortunately. The leek mayo was actually nice at least, and a unique touch. Overall, great ambiance and cute, rustic space, but food is subpar. Would not recommend dining here if you are looking for a delicious dinner.

New managers bring an interesting selection. Great bar. Awesome chicken fingers. Great bartenders.

Wonderful atmosphere dining on the patio. Our server was the best and didn't mind that we stayed to talk until after dark.

One of the best spots in the area for a good drink and meal. I like brunch there and they got a good selection of craft beers.

Slow service, nice atmosphere. Bar service is slow and not that friendly. Food isn't bad but not sure it's worth it.

So a "real time" review as I am sitting at the bar awaiting a replacement order…read more It is hard to describe the burger I was served. It was way over cooked but that was not a full description. In addition to being charred beyond well done it was also very dense.... Definitely not a coarse grind. The combination was a patty that was inedible. Ate less than 1/4. Why not a worse rating? The female barkeep was so attentive and on top of it that it was still a decent meal. Happily replaced it with a 1/2 dozen wings which were very good.

The wings are the ONLY thing worth paying for here & mediocre at best. We've tried other menu…read moreitems several times & all were a disappointment. This one takes the cake & costs the Hilltop any repeat business from us. The pictures are SUPPOSED to be of the 8oz Haddock Dinner for $18.99 & the French onion soup for $4.99. The fork in the picture is for reference only as the food was completely inedible. Sadly, we ordered it all to-go & didn't realize it was all terrible until home (over 1/2 hr away). The haddock dinner was burnt, not 8oz OR haddock & it was missing the lemon butter/bread crumb topping as described on the menu but had an abundance of paprika. I believe they switched the haddock dinner order with another paprika haddock dish on the menu - but conveniently forgot to lower the price. The French onion soup was a cup of broth. No croutons or Swiss cheese in it or on the side, as described on the menu. Sadly, this was take-out & we never looked until we got home (over 1/2 hour away). All over-priced as all inedible. Totally feel cheated. Email with pictures sent to management - received absolutely no response.
