Stumbled upon this place, well in town this past Friday on the way back from Knoebels. The ambience was comfortable with rock theme décor, bartender was pleasant, and the locals were friendly as well. Decent selection of beers, depending on your palate, and loved the pretzels. Its amazing, today the creativity and passion for reutilization of old buildings. After chatting with the bartender, discovered that the brewery was a converted former car wash, that's been open for almost 6 years. My beer selection was a lighter lager with a peach flavor, sorry, forgot the name. One never knows, the hidden jem local towns have when visiting an area. Do not be fooled by the outside or the location. It is on a side street and very garage looking. The gentleman waiting on us was very nice and helpful. My husband ordered a flight which he loves to do. The choices were great and he enjoyed the triple IPA the best. There was a double that I enjoyed.The tastings are very generous and served in Guitar handles. There is a peg at the end that he put some great hard pretzels on. Great TV watching and company. Lots of room at the bar and nice booths. Please give it a try, worth the stop! read more

We were very surprised to see all the options on the menu. Great imperial Belgian for me and two good IPA's for Dan. The sours were nice and light, blueberry sour. Bartender Joe was great, easy and knowledgeable. read more

We were in town for one night on our way back to Michigan and wandered into this place. The bartender was so friendly and so was one of the local customers. I had the best beer ever which was a margarita style gose with tequila, lime, and salt on the rim. So original and so delicious! They gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant. I wish we lived closer so we could frequent this place often! read more

Solid place to listen to vinyl records and have some great beer. They bring in food trucks on the regular for som tasty treats and also serve great hard pretzels with your flight. I was a huge fan of their lager and Everlong IPA. They had a trivia night going on when we stopped in for drinks after dinner. The bartender was a great guy who spun great rock music and offered great opinions on beer choices. Can't wait to visit again. read more

Got a chance to check out Rock God Brewing when I was in the area this past weekend. It was a great place to spend an hour or so sampling beers, and if you happen to live nearby or are visiting the university just a few minutes down the road, I would recommend stopping by. The decor is minimal but fun: album covers hang on the walls, and the old-school booths are a nice touch. I loved the little touches: flights come in custom-cut wood that looks like various musical instruments. And the flights came with healthy 6oz pours: as much as I wanted to try all of the beers on tap, I was responsible and limited myself to 4. Everything was great: smooth, hoppy when the situation required, but they also featured a good amount of non-IPAs. The dopplebock was especially good; I was so tempted to try the horseradish-infused experimental beer they had on draft, but I chickened out :-/. Maybe next time! Do you claim to floss regularly, but really only do it just before you go to the dentist? That last question was more for me and has nothing to do with Rock God Brewing Company, but I am sort of wondering if it's just me. In any case, definitely visit Ben and his delicious brews. I like this Brewery so much that I would send it inappropriate photos if that were a thing. I've visited over 100 breweries across the country, and I can say that his Everlong IPA is one of the best I've ever tasted. In fact, all his brews are top-notch. So stop in, listen to some good tunes, and have at it. read more

They did have 2 beers I really liked. My only complaint the sampler tray was not marked and the women who served it wasn't sure what was what so I can't tell you what beer I liked haha... Really great beers with cool names (Bohemian Rhapsody is my spirit animal) and the owner is awesome. We just stopped in to try the beers after dinner at Old Forge and wound up staying and chatting for a couple of hours, mostly about music. The only thing I wasn't completely on board with was the ambiance of the place. It seemed kind of like a pizza shop vibe and was pretty bright. That was the least of our concerns because the beer and conversation more than made up for it. You can tell that it's not mass produced and the brewer still cares about quality over quantity. I'm glad we stopped in and will definitely be back. read more
