As part of our trip to Joy Through the Grove we stopped here for the Christmas Village, which is located right outside the door. Amazingly the restaurant wasn't busy at all and we were told to sit anywhere. The bacon cheeseburger with fries was amazing, even though there was a charge to up from chips to fries. With the soda it added to $21, about average for a place like this. Service was also about average.

Decided to stop in after a few years of driving past this place on the way to Knoebels. Ordered a Pullman Sandwich with fries, while my partner got a CBR Wrap with chips. Also had a beer, as they have a full bar with local drafts, cocktails, and alcoholic slushees. Inside is nicely decorated with Knoebels memorabilia. We didn't golf but there is a full golf course here, as well. Service was great, and the pricing was pretty good for a sitdown restaurant. They also had custom cocktails for the Haunted Mansion 50th, which was nice to see!

As Knoebels is known for its food as much as its coasters and rides, we had planned to eat somewhere in the park. However, we were having so much fun riding the coasters and rides at Knoebels, we never got a chance to eat at one of their in-park restaurants before the park closed. Fortunately, Knoebels's out-of-park restaurant, Nickel Plate, was still open, so we went over there. This is at their golf course slightly west of the park, and has a golf atmosphere, which is relaxing coming from the amusement park. We started with the Pretzel Rails and Beer Cheese, which we enjoyed. I had the Jam Burger, while my brother had the Mac Du Jour special. We both enjoyed our meals, and I got so many fries, I had enough for the morning.

Stopped here after going to Knoebels drive through the Grove. The restaurant was pretty full so we sat at the bar. At first it took a little bit to get waited on but it was understandable with how full the restaurant was. Candy was our bartender and server. She had a great personality and made sure we were taken care of. There was a list of Christmas cocktails so we tried the cranberry mule, snickerdoodle-tini and the grinch. All were delicious! They had a Sunday special of bogo boneless wings so we got 2 10 piece orders along with the fried pickles. Everything was really good. The price for everything was extremely reasonable as well especially with 4 specialty cocktails. Really glad we decided to check this place out.

Went to have a nice dinner under their outdoor tent, because we had our dog, Zoe. Not many people here. Husband started with Cheese Curds suggested by our fun server, Candi. He liked the Boom Boom Sauce. I got the Burger and it looked great. THEN - I had a battle with a fly who did not care that I swatted him with my wrapped utensils. He was tough! I kept swatting and he jus kept jumping around my burger. I finally swatted him just right and swept him into BBQ sauce. FINALLY D.E.A.D!!!! I went to tell Candi, the waitress, what happened. I was shocked when she replied- because we were eating outside, a fly is a natural occurrence of nature. Too bad and nothing would be done. When Candi finally brought the check, she was very confrontational and said she was only a waitress. Not even a sorry. She came back and said the manager took $5 off for our inconvenience. Not a good experience and I give them only 1 star for horrible service when a bad situation happened. In taking care of the customer, they did nothing positive. Not sure if it was a function of management or training, because Candi was great in the beginning. We started when few people were at restaurant. When we left, many people inside and just two tables outside.

Had lunch here with my sister. This is located at the golf course outside of Knoebels. We had the Brussels sprouts app. And it was very tasty. We both had the southwest salad and it was very good. Our server was very nice. The cocktails looked good, next time I will have to try one of those.

After a day at the park as a change of pace from the usual Knoebel's casual dining, we decided we would try their sit down restaurant located a mile or so down the road at their golf course . We arrived at around 7 on a Sunday in August and it was surprisingly empty. We were seated very promptly and got our orders in. The food took longer than we would have wished as we wanted to get back to the park, under usual circumstances it would have been slightly annoying but some members of our party got quite antsy. Unfortunately getting the check was even more of issue resulting in one disgruntled member of our party standing up for minutes on end to indicate her desire for a check before eventually flagging down a different waitress as ours had gone missing for some time. I got the Firebox burger with chips and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked burger, super crispy bacon and plenty of mayo. Another party member got the beer battered haddock and had no complaints. If we had no time restrictions it would have been a very relaxing time with a beautiful panoramic view of the green grass of the golf course and excellent food.

Love the old cars & trucks. This one was outside Nickle Plate.

Just got introduced to this restaurant by my fiance'. We started out with Pretzel Bread Logs with a Yeungling Beer Cheese dipping sauce. Delicious. Warm, buttery & soft. We both opted for the Tomato Bisque soup that we ended up dipping our cheese covered pretzel logs in to. The Bisque was awesome. Finally our entree's arrived. My fiance' had the Crab Cakes & Cole slaw. She loved that they don't stretch the crab cakes with lots of breading like some places do, in fact, she doesn't even know if they used ANY. It was such a clean tasting crab cake. I opted for the Flat Iron steak & Mac and Cheese. Both were very good. The steak was Med-Rare like I had asked for. It was so soft to chew and the flavors were great. The Mac & Cheese was nicely done too. I'm looking forward to doing lunch there. What a great 1st experience for me.

Besides the staple menu, there was a rotating menu featuring a soup, mussel dish, flatbread, burger, and pasta. The food took some time to come out, and everything was rather bland across the board. The interior was decorated nicely for the holidays though. *Hummus Platter: a huge shareable for $10. The crispy naan resembled the Costco version but fried. The naan itself worked well as a base for the hummus, although the hummus was neither smooth nor flavorful. There was no fragrance from the chickpeas, and it tasted rather unseasoned. The selection of peppers, carrots, and cucumbers was decent. *Garlic Butter Mussels: their monthly mussel dish. The mussels were cooked well and coated in a one dimensional sauce. The sweet wine was cooked down with lots of garlic, while the butter was subtle. I wished there had been a bit more toasted baguette to balance the one pound of seafood. Note there is a 3% credit card surcharge. I could not find this listed on their menu and but I saw the charge on my receipt. I enjoyed the few beers I had, and the food was acceptable for a bar. With some improvement to the flavors, this could be a worthwhile visit for a bite and a drink.

My only issue was the beer cheese. It tasted too much like beer. The beer flavor was definitely over powering. The other special sauce wasn't great but it wasn't bad either. A typical thousand island type of sauce. But over all it was pretty solid. I would comeback and try something else.

I have never heard of this (ever), but because the boy and co. love Yuengling, which is unavailable in Ohio (!?), I decided to try to find a beer distributor somewhere off i-80, since I had to drive through all 309 miles of PA to get to/from Maine for Christmas. Keep in mind, until this drive I had never been to PA, nor had I ever been to a beer distributor. I called Yuengling, to see if maybe perchance somewhere beer was sold in the grocery store in the Commonwealth... but alas! No. However, the Yuengling people were very helpful, and gave me the names of a couple beer distributors I'd be passing by. I chose Maloney because Danville was closer to NJ, and I wanted to get lost in PA in daylight, at least. So, I gave Maloney's a call, and they told me how to get there from i-80. Now, I may not be qualified to comment on service, since this is my one and only bottle shop experience, but this is what happened: I arrived at Maloney's, and a gentleman asked me what I needed. I said I was looking for Yuengling, but that I could get it myself. Touche, bottle shop - apparently this is not allowed in PA. The worker went to get it for me, and I stood there, slightly taken aback... even moreso when he asked me where he could put it. I said, "Um, just put it down?" I guess it's like grocery carry out... they usually put it in your car. Is this weird to anyone else? I paid for my beer and took it outside with me, and drove the rest of the 270-something miles through PA with 24 bottles of Yuengling jangling in my backseat (oops). My Ohio friends/love were psyched, and I do love me some Yuengling, but I don't understand why beer is so regulated in the Commonwealth. Though if it must be... then this experience, while slightly perplexing, was a-ok.

The blue cheese dressing was watered down. The veal was so thin you could barely taste it And I find it hard to believe that it was fresh also. I think that was frozen. In addition, veal Parmesan, as I have eaten many times at various Italian restaurants, has always been served on top of the pasta with plenty of sauce and cheese and baked until the cheese melts, and not on a separate plate. I ordered a pink sauce and it was absolutely horrible with barely any flavor whatsoever. I definitely make better Italian food at home and I'm not Italian, I'm mostly German. The cost for this garbage I was served was $30!! The veal was MAYBE 1/8" thick with way too much breading in addition to being overcooked. I wish I had taken a picture of this poor excuse for a "fine dining" Italian meal! I've gotten better Italian dishes from the local pizzerias by far. We were poorly serviced. Drinks were left empty. We were not even questioned about the quality and satisfaction of the food. Server presence was sparse indeed. The owner/hostess was very rude upon learning of our dissatisfaction. However, she didn't bat an eye at receiving $1000 for the birthday dinner. It appears that there is an over abundance of beaurocracy practiced. If you're a regular customer, they kiss your butts. If you're not, you are ignored. I will NEVER PATRONIZE this restaurant again!!! It's DEFINITELY NOT WORTH MY TIME AND MONEY!!
