This is a re-post of my comment on Google Maps. They did such an impressive job losing a customer. Maybe they are very conscious and selective in showing their rudeness, snobbery, and ignorance to people in certain demographics. Or they are trained to judge people who walk in by their appearance and use some abusive sales tactics on certain people so that they can take advantage of them. But sorry, you picked the wrong target this time. I can tell from other reviews that it is not always the case when they interact with other customers. But please be aware that they are most certainly ready and willing to treat some customers in a completely unacceptable manner. I was surprised that a luxury brand dealer will have sales personnel who would give one word answers or no answer at all to customer's legitimate questions. I was shocked and at the same time amused that they would even question your questions. This is what happens when a dealership does not need to worry about lack of sales. This is what happens when some employees have managed to get away from the consequence of their behaviors. This is the first review I have ever posted online. And you can rest assured that I will use every bit of my social influence to persuade other BMW customers in every possible way to go to another dealer. read more

My wife and I leased a 428i from Perillo in 2015.The entire experience was enjoyable and professional, topped off by the stellar service we received From Jason Goetz, our sales rep. His service didn't stop there. We moved to Miami a year later and Jason went out of his way to help us transport our car, at rate considerably less than what I found on my own. All in All, a great overall experience! Unfortunately, the rumors are true, Florida has some of the worst drivers in the county as our car was totaled by a local who ran through a red light and didn't have insurance. The situation became more problematic when it turned out that we might not have full insurance coverage due to some issues with the lease paperwork. I called Perillo not knowing if they would say "not our problem" or.......they would choose to work with us. Perillo, in a customer focused way, chose the latter! I worked with Trish Perillo, Jason Goetz and others from their team. They helped us to resolve the challenges from the paperwork snafu, set us up with a new 430i at a better rate than I could find in Southern Florida, and than had the car transported to our front door. The key to a quality organization is seeing how they respond when a problem does occur. Perillo handled our situation with professionalism and class which is why I have written this well deserved referral and why my wife and I will continue getting cars from Perillo, every 3 years going forward........ Well Done! read more

My husband and I went into Perillo to look at a certified used car in June of 2016 and were given nothing but the best from Sean Cueva. He was professional through and through. We purchased a 2011 535i Sport and could not be happier with our choice. Sean's sales staff stayed an hour past closing to assist us with our purchase which was greatly appreciated. Before purchase we noticed an issue with the cupholder and one of the key fobs. They took care of both issues the next day after purchase at no cost to us, even though it wasn't required on of them. Since then, Sean has been there to answer all of our questions. The service staff has also been great. They've topped of the expensive oil for us and have had fast service turn around times for us. We both couldn't be happier with our purchase and Sean. read more

I had a decent experience test driving a 3-series here. The agent was polite, but not that knowledgeable about the car, and didn't take much time to investigate answers for any of my questions. I wouldn't (and didn't) buy here. read more

THE WORST Customer Service and Car Service. No INTEGRITY. No Customer Care. This service group gives BMW a bad name. The Service Managers make a COMMISSION off the total of the vehicle bill which encourages them to be dishonest about what is necessary to actually repair your vehicle. I took my vehicle to the service group because it would not start. Periilo told me they did not know what was wrong with the vehicle but needed to charge me $155 to start the diagnostic and another $500 for labor to replace a part (a resistor) they could not be sure would resolve my issue. It was almost as if they did not have 10 BMW technicians working for them. I've never heard of a resistor preventing a car from starting before. I kept suggesting a fuel filter or fuel pump. They would not listen. How do you run a BMW Service shop and not know the intricacies of a BMW? RIP-OFF I took my car to Midwest Performance Auto, they resolved the issue in 24 hours, at discounted rates with no vague explanations of what caused my car trouble. A fuel filter and a fuel pump was all I need and at 1/2 the price Perillo was trying to rip me off at. Perillo could only wish to have as much talent and integrity. read more

I am rating the service dept... not the sales dept... I have to give this only an OK rating. I have had good experiences and bad experiences. I always dislike the LONG wait for my car at pick up though and the car is typically not ready when they say it will be. I do feel their service reps are friendly just VERY busy to give the best customer service levels possible. read more

I just bought a 2014 335 I M Sport and I was very satisfied with the service that I received. Frank Billman was my salesperson and the guy is awesome. He was like no other car salesman I've ever met. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me a few different options. Definitely the coolest car salesman out there. If you're going to buy a BMW I recommend using Frank. I can't speak for anyone else there but I can personally vouch for this guy! read more

I must admit, I was a little apprehensive when I read the Yelp reviews. I bought my car last year out in the burbs but Perillo is much more convenient for me living in the city. So I was disappointed to read of the experiences some customers have had. That being said, I believe in seeing for myself. And I'm glad I did. Absolutely everyone I interacted with in the service department was friendly, helpful, and went out of their way to give good service. I can't speak to what other people have said but it seems that their comments have not fallen on deaf ears -- Perillo seems genuinely committed to turning around their image and doing their best to make sure they provide the top notch service befitting a luxury brand. My advice? Give them a shot to prove themselves. read more

I own a 2007 X3 with 58,000 miles. I was very happy with it until recently my wife had to deal with the service department at Perillo BMW in Chicago (where I bought the car). My car was running unusually, it had troubles starting and had a rough idle; finally it wouldn't start. We took the car in to the service department on Monday Oct 19. They "fixed" the transmission and charged me $1200. We got the car back yesterday evening and this morning (Wed, Oct 21) the rough idle is back and the acceleration/power is noticeably off. The car is running worse than before we first brought it in. We took the car back to the service department today and were informed that the two technicians who worked on it are in "training" today, so they can't do anything for us. Then the technician shrugged his shoulders, told my wife it could be the ignition coils which could go at any time, and we would have to pay more to get those fixed. The whole experience was very rude and the staff is quite rough. Perillo took my money, didn't fix my car, possibly even messed up my car further, and then wanted to charge me even more to "fix" it again! This is outrageous. I will never buy a car from Perillo agan, this is not the kind of service I expect from BMW. I will be taking my business to Audi, in fact I've decided to go buy a Q5 in cash today! I suggest BMW review its relationship with Perillo. Luxury buyers don't enjoy being treated poorly. read more

Awesome place. In the market for an M5. Test drove a M5 and M6 down lake shore drive. Professionalism at its finest. I have at always dealt with Brent. Excellent service and hospitality. In the past I purchased an E39 M5 and 03 540i m-sport Le Mans blue(requested) from these guys. Just request it, they'll be able to get it. read more

We almost didn't give this place a shot because of the bad Yelp reviews, but are we glad we did! We started with Jack and finished with Jim and, then Alex, the manager. All three were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. They stayed open until 7:00 on Saturday to close our deal. We got exactly what we wanted for the price we wanted. They were not going to let us leave unsatisfied. All three men were very professional and not pushy whatsoever. We would highly recommend Perillo BMW to everyone. Give them a chance they will prove those bad reviews wrong! THANK YOU Perillo BMW:) read more

I have owned 6 BMW's in my lifetime. This time I was looking for a used one, specific color combo to accommodate our busy family. I live in the suburbs, and looked all over to find the specific one we wanted. I called and was connected with Peter Mers. After a few quick conversations, I made my way into the city in hopes that the car was as expected. Forgot to mention I had a trade-in, which I had previously taken to CarMax for an estimate. Long story short, I was out of there in a couple of hours with my new car. The trade value was within a couple of hundred dollars, so it all made sense. Peter was awesome to deal with, very straightforward and got everything done quickly. I forgot a couple of items from the trade-in, he was nice enough to FedEx to my home. It was a great experience. Thanks Perillo and Peter! read more

When we bring our car to a certified BMW service center & dealership we know we are going to be paying more than other service centers, but do so because we also expect the service and quality to match the elevated price. This unfortunately is not the case with Perillo service center. We had to call several times to find out what was going on with the car because no one was following up with us. When we got the initial call with the estimate, the service guy lied to my husband and said he got me all set-up with a loaner car when I dropped his off. This never happened. I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant, I would have definitely taken the loaner car had it been offered to me. Then when we asked about a loaner car they put us through the ringer about our insurance, even though we've gotten a loaner car from them before, and then said there wasn't one available anyways. Every time we called we had to speak to a different person, because the person whose card I was given never answered or returned our calls. Each day we were told it would be ready "the next day." Then someone who we never spoke with called and asked if we had already picked the car up?!?!?! Did you lose our car at some point? Did someone in the service department decide to use if for the day?? We were given no explanation for that. When we picked the car up the total bill was $700 over the estimate.... Even though no extra work was done. It seemed it just wasn't estimated correctly. Would have been more understanding about the difference in price had we not had so many issues throughout the whole process. My husband asked to speak to the manager and explained all of the issues we had been dealing with throughout the whole process and the manager offered no apology and told him that if he wanted anything to be done about it he could write a letter to the owner. I think that BMW as a company would be very disappointed in how they are being represented in the city of Chicago. Hopefully they decide to open a new service center that provides the type of service that BMW is known for. Unfortunately until then, BMW owners in Chicago are forced to leave the city to get decent service on their car. read more

Worst BMW dealership in the entire state. While there they broke off my drivers side mirror in their detail shop and told me I would have a new mirror within a week. After 2 weeks I called and was told the mirror was in the pain shop. After another two weeks I still do not have a drivers mirror... This unfortunately is typical of my 2 previous service attempts with Perillo. I will never buy another car from them, in fact I will never buy another BMW because of my experiences. read more

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! I think Perillo BMW feels that they have monopolized the market in the city of Chicago and people have not other choice; but I would highly encourage to go to any suburban BMW service dealers than to experience the lack of customer attention at Perillo. After taking my car at Perillo for the last 18 months since moving back to Chicago and having to experience BMW customer service in other parts of the country, Perillo has been nothing but a dissapointment. The customer service department feels like people have to beg for their service with them feeling they have no other places to go. read more

I've been coming here for 2-3 years for servicing and most recently for new tires. The service department at Perillo is great example of how customer service should be done. My last service agent was Alex...he was very friendly and answered every question (I had many)...it was clear he liked his job, knew what he was talking about and cared about me being a happy and satisfied customer. This has been my experience every time I've been to Perillo and it will keep me coming back. read more

Came in for a key because I locked mine in the trunk. The process went pretty smooth, I was in and out within five minutes. The guys were easy to talk to and helpful. They even offered to teach me how to program the key when I pick it up. The key was ready the next day (thank god, some research on the internet were pointing to 3 days). I took off one star because they did say that they will call me as soon as the key comes in, well I didn't receive a call the next day, I called myself. read more

Great experience with Jason Neagu at the dealership. Would highly recommend working with him if you are looking to buy.

Go in for parts often, sadly these BMW cars are junk, not the dealers fault though. Parts department staff has an attitude edge, but usually the parts are always in stock. read more

STAY AWAY!!! Perillo is a horrible BMW dealership. I purchased my BMW from Perillo and once you are out of warranty they treat you like dirt! They will hold your car for days if you bring it in for service. They NEVER answer their service phones either. I literally had to take a cab to the dealership to see if my car was done being serviced because they never called to tell me if it was ready or not. It wasn't ready so another cab fare wasted. Have the decency to return calls! The staff is rude as hell too. They act all smug and like snobs and just because your vehicle isn't less than 2 years old they snub you. Their service department is full of rude nasty people. It's like dealing with greasy and measly ex-convicts at Perillo. I have no idea how they are still in business. I'm taking the next step and reporting them to the BBB of Chicago. read more

This place sucks pretty bad. I would never buy a new car there, way over-priced compared to dealers in the burbs and the salespeople must be the rudest in the industry. The sevice dept. at least tries, but they just don't get it. It just starts from the top down. When you have owners that don't get it they hire employees that don't get it. read more

Let me start by saying that I don't normally write reviews... unless i find something absolutely superb- or unbearable. Perillo BMW.... the latter. I have been taking my car to Perillo for small maintenance work off and on for the past couple years. My most recent experience will be my last. The staff was shockingly rude and indifferent. The estimates they gave me were OUTRAGEOUS, nearly double estimates from other places and I felt pressure from the staff for every overzealous service they recommended. I left my car there the entire day to have an oil change, called when I was on my way to be sure the car would be ready - and still waited over an HOUR once I got there. -and then I received a call the next day to tell me my car was ready for pick up... the car i had picked up nearly 24 hours before. Really? WOW, will take my business elsewhere. read more

Sean Ceuva was wonderful! My Audi blew up on me leaving me without a vehicle. Within a few days Sean was able to help me organize a vehicle pick up to have the Audi shipped to him (out of state) to trade in on a new car. Since I'm out of state, he organized all the paperwork, helped to ensure my car was registered in my home state and arranged for a pick up for me that week on my new vehicle. He made the process seamless and a joy given everything else I had going on. I had my new car back home within a week!!! read more

Leased my first BMW from Perillo and it was simply a pleasure. My sales person, Mr. Frank Billman, could not have been more personable. He was extremely patient, explaining to me all of my options over several visits and lunch. When we decided on the right fit, he was able to beat all other quotes AND he threw in extra options! I since have referred friends to Perillo and Mr. Billman. Both mine and my wifes leases are up soon and we are both looking forward to working again with Mr. Billman. James read more

Was shopping for the car and couldn't believe how unhelpful sales person was when I walked in the door. It felt that I'm bothering him and I almost left, but there was another guy Frank Billman who sensed that and kind of took over. He was very helpful and attentive. He took his time answered all my questions and gave me print outs. After visiting few dealerships I decided on Mercedes as I had good experiences right from the start. Perhaps if not the first guy I would bought something from Frank. read more

Customer Service is outstanding here and I definitely want to recommend anyone looking for a new car to work with Jim. Promised me a loaner car and then wouldn't give me one. The loaner car woman was rude - no customer service skills. These people get a lot of cars in for service every day and some people there don't seem to show much interest in individual customers. That being said they replaced my water pump within one day and even washed the car for me. Some people were friendly there, others were not. Overall decent experience, and I expected poor based on the other reviews. read more

Worst service experience! My husband and I sat on hold with the service department for 1 hour, long enough to drive to the Clark location. Upon arrival my called had not been answered; we then sat in the service garage for another 15 minutes before anyone approached us. I've had two service experiences with Perillo on my 2011 328xi and both were great. The first visit was a sensor light that came on which was faulty and replaced in the time quoted. I work in the Loop so I used their free shuttle to get to the office. My service advisor was friendly and called me around noontime to let me know that my car would be finished by the time I needed to pick it up. My car was washed and ready to go. The second visit was due to a nail being lodged in one of my run flat tires. They removed the nail (thank you Lower Wacker construction project!) and patched the tire. No need to replace. They did this in 15 minutes and sent me on my way. I purchased the car from a dealership in the west burbs but Perillo is close to my home/office so I will be using them exclusively going forward. read more
