He was dealing w/ a larger party but still shouldn't have treated us that way. I went w/ 2 friends & my cousin. I ordered the dorado (fish) fillet baked in butter, garlic sauce w/ vegetables & tostones(fried plantains). We waited a long time for our food let alone some water as well. We had to flag down another waitress that wasn't even for our table. It had been about 20 mins. Before we got any water. We were thirsty b/c it was a very hot day! Not only that but having water is a necessity. They gave us some garlic bread for the table. It was a little too dry for my liking. My food was worth the wait. The fish was well-seasoned & very tender! The butter, garlic sauce was just right b/c sometimes the garlic can be overbearing. The vegetables were a little too soggy for my liking. The tostones were crispy & cooked to perfection. The only thing I was missing was ojo(garlic smashed w/ oil). In PR,they use mayoketchup sauce (mayonnaise & ketchup mixed) everywhere @home,restaurants,etc. They put it on everything. That is what the waiter gave me to dip my tostones. I ordered the ojo but by the time it got there I was done. I ended using the mayoketchup sauce. I ordered a passion fruit juice to wash my food down w/. It was just right not too sweet! You can tell it was home made. The decor was beautiful. We sat outside. There's giant fishes that I fed. I fed them that dry garlic bread. They were so beautiful!

The best mofongo relleno de pulpo I have experienced in 8 trips to Puerto Rico! Beautiful spot on…read morethe water with a gentle breeze. Johnathan was our server and represented El Bohío with pride and excellence. Also had a langosta empanada that was delicious. My friend loved his whole fried snapper. Go where the locals go, you won't be disappointed!
