I am cognizant that these are very heavy days for restaurants. However, I was not prepared to wait 2 1/2 hours to be served. My group waited patiently and the water was very apologetic. 2 hours into the wait, I told the waiter to bill us for the drinks and appetizers since we wanted to leave. It was already 9:25 p.m. and it was too late for me to eat. The owner came out and told me that the food was already being prepared and we had to take it to go. In other words, we were not leaving before paying for it. I didn't want to make a scene so we decided to continue waiting. The food took an additional 22 minutes to arrive. I feel the restaurant breached its responsibility to serve us within a reasonable amount of time, and bullied us into paying for the meal one way or another. If they knew how backed up the kitchen was, they must inform the patrons and let them decide if they want to stay of not. They put profit above service. I will never return to this restaurant.

It was almost like in the cartoons when the characters start catch the aroma of food and float towards it. They weren't open yet, so we made a note to return before heading out. Unfortunately, we forgot and by the time we returned from the beach they were closed. We made another note to return the next day. This time we didn't forget. We bought two whole chicken and took them to the beach and made sandwiches with the bread from M&M Bakery. The chicken was moist, perfectly seasoned, and nice and smokey. In addition to chicken, they also sell ribs and pernil. They have sides too. They have about two tables set up, so this is mainly takeout. Perfect for the beach. Owner is very friendly. I definitely recommend checking this spot out when your in La Parguera. Note that their hours may vary from what is posted here on Yelp. It all depends when they run out of food and also the season. During the summer they may open on Fridays and maybe Thursdays.
