Prívate parking in front plus outdoor seating

This is an overdue review. I came here with my family and some friends last year (Oct. 2021). I thought I had reviewed it; I guess I was wrong. Keep I mind things may have changed since then. This is a very nice restaurant. The inside isn't very big but they have a ceiling to floor window that provides a great view of the sea. There is also outdoor seating available. And you get the same view. You can also see Cayo Ratones, a small island. Both the inside and outside areas are nicely decorated. This is a great spot for a date, but is also kid and pet friendly. Our group had children and a small dog. I would recommend bringing a jacket or something because the inside can get very cold due to the air conditioning. There is private parking available in front. Since this was a year ago, I can't remember what everybody got. I do remember what my wife and I had. I had the skirt steak stuffed with goat cheese and prosciutto with a side of mamposteao rice. The presentation was nice and the taste was even better. I know they are mainly a seafood restaurant but I would recommend this dish. My wife got the seafood risotto. It was rich and creamy, very good. Portion sizes were generous. Service was friendly. If you're in Cano Rojo, seriously consider checking this place out.

It is my favorite restaurant. From the amazing service to the always-delicious food. I highly recommend if you're looking to dine in a restaurant with an amazing view of the ocean. And might I add that the prices are very fair.

A visit to homeland is not complete until eating some good fish in one of the best areas on the west coast of Puerto Rico, Joyuda, Cabo Rojo. The times that I can visit PR, I make sure to visit the area for some fish fritters and a variety of other fried goodness. This place came as a suggestion from a family member and a group of us dediced to visit. When I say this is one of the best seafood restaurants I've been to in this area, I don't say it lightly. I lived in PR until 2013 and Joyuda was my favorite area to visit, going to a different restaurant as much as I could, but I digress... The inside is not very big but has a beautiful view of the Caribbean ocean. It has a full bar and I loved that it's separate from the dining area. There's also outdoor seating and the view and ambiance do not disappoint. We were a group of eight. 10 out of 10 for their variety of appetizers and starters. Started of with a platter of Fried Cheeseballs, Sorullitos (corn-meal fritters), fried cheese and Fish fritters. The cheeseballs where amazing! Sorullitos, nothing special just good. The fried cheese was good, but when dipped in a guava sweet sauce, it went to another level. The Fish fritters were to die for, crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside and super flavorful. Starters are ordered separately and range from $6 - $12. I was lucky enough that the restaurant still had some of the days catch of captain fish. Couldn't let the chance pass me by. Had it in a lemon garlic sauce with Mofongo as a side. $27 dollars for the plate and well worth it. Portion was generous and very filling. Looking forward to leftovers tomorrow. Everyone was happy with their food and the service was superb. Definitely recommend!

Chillo frito con langosta. A dish to die for.

We stopped at Cayo Azul heading north from Playa Buye looking for a fresh fish dinner. We ordered the calamares, masita de pescado, chillo entero pescado (con cremosa de ajo y limon), langosta (en mantequilla), and our kids had the mahi mahi filet with the garlic and lemon cream sauce. The calamares (calamari) was great. It had a light, crispy fried exterior, and was tender on the inside. Served with a tasty aioli of some sort. The masita de pescado (breaded fish nuggets) were also really tasty. They have large portions of these starters to share. On the the entrees: The chillo entero pescado (red snapper, whole fish) with creamy garlic and lemon sauce. Okay this was the star of the evening. The fish was cooked perfectly. A slight crust on the outside, and so tender on the inside. The sauce was INCREDIBLE. The langosta (lobster) with butter sauce was mediocre. It wasn't fresh (maybe frozen?), was chunks in butter with sautéed onions. The flavor was good but it was not worth the price ($32!) for a handful of chunks of chewy lobster. I got 2 Mermaid Mule cocktails. Got the second because the first was really good. All in all, I'd recommend.

Great food with a beautiful view. Service was good. The portions and prices are reasonable. Can't wait to go back and try other plates. The only thing that needs improvement is the bathroom.

Bad food, horrible service but a good view.

Do not eat here. It took them 1 hour and 25 min to serve me like warm fish that I couldn't even cut with a steak knife. The ambiance is chill but it doesn't make up for the horrible service and below average meals. I say this because the server stated that the manager and the cook got in a fight. I expressed the poor food quality and extremely long wait time and nothing was done. Horrible customer service. I really should have just driven to Church Chicken, the food and service would have been better and faster. I never thought I would ever say that about a Spanish restaurant, especially not one in Puerto Rico.

Excelente comida acompañado con excelente servicio. Gracias Diego por tu servicio espectacular! Nos enamoramos de la vista Del Mar. Los tostones de camarón están riquísimos igual que el ceviche de camarón. A must!

Delicious seafood by the sea? Yes, please! Found this spot as we drove thru Joyuda; we were drawn in by the welcoming patio and ocean vistas. Very friendly waitstaff and prompt service. BF ordered spicy crab tacos; I had grilled grouper filet with cilantro cream sauce. Both dishes delicious-- and beautifully plated. Only complaint is that the portions were so large, neither of us could finish! I hate wasting such lovely food. Seems the place is fairly new; worth a visit if you're in the area!

The carne frita was perfectly done and well complemented with waffle fries. Yes, waffle fries in Cabo Rojo! My father in law had the lobster which looked absolutely fantastic and I had an amazing seafood and steak dish. We even had to come back because the food and service was so good. My second trip I had the best red snapper filet I have ever had. I got it with the butter sauce and the portion size was amazing! Definitely worth a stop.

With entree order we had a very fresh crisp salad with tasty homemade. Beverages such as the beer and the whiskey and coconut water very well mixed. For entree we had selections from chicken tenders with arañitas, churrasco mofongo, carrucho mofongo to lobster and all of them were high quality ingredients, very tasty and delicious and our waitress was on top of the service. We took the leftovers home, reheated and their flavors and consistency were intact. There was no wait, ample lighted parking accross the restaurant, very clean premises and will be a beyond expectation experience. Highly recommended.
