Great restaurant in Barrio Espinar in Aguada. We went around 6pm on a Sunday and we're promptly seated. I did park on the street, not realizing there was a lot behind the restaurant. We decided to order various appetizers for our last night in town. The queso frito was one of the best I've had during this trip. Most places serve it with guava sauce, but here it is mayo-ketchup. Unfortunately, they did not have lobster or crab, so we ordered steak empanada (our favorite), chicken and dorado (our least favorite). The side of trifongo was good, as was the rice. Amazing service and food. Best beans I've had on the island and the churrasco was outstanding with the chimichurri!! The chicken empanadilla was okay but the carne one was better IMO. Sorullitos were really good too. My husband had the pollo a la plancha and he loved it. We also ordered jugo de Parcha (passion fruit juice ) which was also great :). The total was super reasonable coming out to 65$ for everything !! The space is open so lots of fans in the restaurant and a great breeze from the beach that's next to it. But no AC. Tbh you don't need it with that great breeze. Can't go wrong with this stop in Aguada, def give it a try!! read more

You are already aggravated because you spent twenty minutes trying to find a parking spot and worse yet, the staff seems more focus on entertaining themselves rather than taking your order. If you are an experienced Puerto Rico traveler, you know exactly what I am talking about. This place is none of that, it is in fact a hidden jewel of a place with attentive staff where you can still enjoy Salsa music being played the way God intended to, at a pleasant volume where you can actually hear the ocean waves (I know, hard to believe there is such a place in PR) and the most important part: The food is simply outstanding along with the number of options.   It was an absolute breath of fresh air to discover this place. Such a great find in a tiny town in west Puerto Rico. The whole fried snapper is amazing and seems to be on every table. The empanadas are a must....every bit as good as we had in Argentina. Staff is friendly and their is a nice open air, beach town vibe. read more

This is a nice local spot close to the beach. Service was decent. Food was good for a neighborhood restaurant. My friend and I had the mahi mahi fish fillet. It could have used a little more seasoning and garlic. My husband had the red snapper (chillo) and he said it was very good. The rice and beans were excellent. The drinks were also good. We found this beachfront seafood shack at the end of a road in a residential area. The food was both fresh and excellent, the atmosphere relaxed and family-friendly, and the staff both knowledgeable and personable. This is an updated review of my precious two star review, which was left for the lack of service and employees being on their cell phones and not being attentive. Went back in the beginning of July 2018, Service was great, We sat down, Menus were handed out immediately, Order was taken within 5 minutes. Food came in a timely manner. Their was a Middle aged man, which seemed to be either the Manager or Partial owner, he was cracking the whip some and making sure the employees where on top of things, which explained the better service from my previous visits. Food was Great, Fish Kabobs also known as Pinchos were Amazing and come with 3 tostones "Fried Crispy Plantains". Empanadas were also very good. We and the Kids went their for appetizers this time around, No main dishes were orders. My hats off to them for improving Service and Food Served. This is really a nice place , it has a deck that is about 15-20 feet from the water, Walk behind the deck and you can take a nice walk on the beach after your meal. It's in a residential area with a spot right on the beach. We were able to catch the sunset here for dinner and drinks. The staff was friendly but pretty slow on service and bringing the food to our table (just my gf and I). You get a lot of food for the money and it's good quality. We would never have found this little restaurant if not for the recommendation of my husband's biking friend, Angel. It is in a residential area in Aguada, right on the water. There is also a fisherman's market where you can buy fresh fish right out of the ocean. Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, they have it all. This is a great place to watch the sunset and the food is very, very good. We had fish asopao (stew) with mofongo. It is very hard to find a restaurant that serves just fish in their stew and this was Mahi. Delicious and not salty at all. Our friends had Snapper and Grouper fillets a la criolla which were also very good and fresh. We also had "Masitas de pescado" which were absolutely delicious. We came around 6:30 pm on a Friday night and the place was packed. The service was excellent, bilingual and menu is extensive and in both Ennglish and Spanish. Next time, and there will be a next time, we will go earlier to watch the sunset. We will definitely add Casa Del Dorado to our list of favorite places to eat. Stay away rip off the fish is super expensive spoke to one of the waiters i told him it was really expensive they weight the fish and charge stupid amounts for each pound we were 8 of us and he said ill speak to my boss to give you a better price and he spoke to the owner and she was ok I'll help you out. We all had ordered the fish and once we got the check I told the waiter if the owner made changes to the bill and he said no so I went to the owner and she was extremely rude treated us with enormous disrespect i said cool ill pay i should of seen how much before we sat down to eat my fault.
