We were a party of 6 on a Saturday night. The service was 5* from the greeting until the check was paid. Everyone's dish was wonderfully cooked and fresh. The pieces of fish were giant by US restaurant standards. We loved the vegetable mofongo with mushroom sauce as a shared appetizer. It's huge and certainly would be a nice meal for anyone hungry. The snapper and dolphin were both tasty and cooked well. The children's macncheese with chicken was so big the adult who ordered it still took food home. We stopped in for dinner after a long day at the beach. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant had an amazing view of the bay. We sat in the outdoor area which provided excellent views. For starters we had a fish soup which was an excellent way to start. For our entrees I had the pollo à la plancha with a side salad. My girlfriend had the mofongo. Our meals were excellent. Both were filled with so much flavor. The staff was beyond excellent, they did a great job of explaining the menu and our options. Overall, we found a great new place to visit on the island. We arrived to the restaurant at 1:00pm, nice weather and a good day; but everything was good until we started receiving, the fish broth, it was cold, we needed to send it back, that was the first sign. But we said, maybe they just opened. Asked for the appetizers, which arrived about 35 minutes later, Piña colada, took an extra 10 minutes. Bread was brought to the table because we asked for it. Flavor was off, not like it has been the previous visits. We asked for our order twice, 2 mofongos with lobster, one fried Snapper with Mofongo and a snapper fillet in garlic butter, with mashed potatoes. My daughter's snapper, was excessively salty, and she likes her food seasoned. Had to returned the snapper because it could cause anyone a mild heart attack. The lobster, over cooked and no flavor. Wow!! The snapper filet was ok, was supposed to be in garlic butter sauce. None existent in the plate. And the onions were raw.... It seems that there is no communication between the kitchen, the floor staff and the owner who is the cashier. Kitchen staff doesn't have quality control, where the food is going out with too many issues, plates were not properly vetted. Let's do the math, we arrived at 1:00pm, food arrived to the table at 2:30... I went to the server, asked for the manager, and she didn't tell her. I went to her myself and explained the service and disappointment. She said that they had a big table. I told her that it's not an excused being a Sunday on a long weekend being a restaurant that has so much staff. Bad seasoned food is not something that you can relate to one big table. She said, she was the owner and started with a teary eye. Sorry, but I can't sympathize with the service that we had, this was a bad service from the beginning to the end. You have a great place and a great location, please retrain your staff and please work on your quality control in the kitchen, hope it gets better. read more

My son found this place based on google maps reviews. Just get the snapper fish which everyone raves about- that was best among the 4 dishes we had. Avoid the octopus as they were not fresh. Mofongo was bland. Steak and pork chop was mediocre. $120 bill and no one really finished their food. I would avoid and try another place. read more

Everything in this restaurant was delicious and taste homemade. We ordered "mariscada con salsa criolla" and it was perfect. All the seafood included in this dish had good taste and consistency. The sauce of the mariscada added a nice flavor but it was not overwhelming. As a side dish we had "mofongo de yuca" and tostones. The mofongo had a wonderful garlic flavor. Tostones were freshly made and not too crunchy, not too soft. While we were waiting for the order a waitress brought a perfectly done fish broth with a toasted bread with garlic sauce. As a drink I asked for fruit punch. It was very tasty. Evidently it was made with fresh fruits! My desert was homemade flan cheese with guava. Delicious. I ordered the churrasco mofongo and it was as garlicky as can be. My wife got mahi mahi mofongo, and it wasn't as garlic laden, but still quite good. Also got a non-alcoholic piña colada and two waters for a total of $60. Pricey for me, but it was one of the best meals I've had on the island. read more
