Always excited for good Peri Peri chicken so we had to check this place out while strolling through Ashburn. Unfortunately, this place is not it. When we arrived, the restaurant was really clean and the staff was nice enough. Unfortunately, everything on the menu was either sold out or we had to wait at least an hour for the food to be prepared. With the limited selection remaining, we got a fried chicken sandwich, wings, and waffle fries. We came right around lunch time so I would have expected most of the prep to be done for lunch service. The fried chicken sandwich was pretty average. It would have been elevated with more sauces and toppings. The chicken wings were just sad. It was tossed in some sauce and just thrown on a plate to be served. They were also a little dry from being burnt. The waffle fries were the best thing we had. They were fried and seasoned very well. Hoping this was a one off experience so I'd be open to trying again sometime soon. read more

I want to share some feedback from my visit. I don't want to leave a bad rating, but there were a few things that made my experience uncomfortable and affected my appetite. I am not someone who leaves reviews easily--especially negative ones. I always try to support good businesses, and if I have a bad experience, I usually just don't return instead of writing a review. However, what I observed during this visit made me feel it was important to speak up. One staff member was eating while touching the payment/ordering screen. Another employee was coughing repeatedly without wearing a face mask. I noticed these two issues first and was actually trying to mention them to the cashier. Unfortunately, the staff member who took my order went to the restroom, then returned and sat behind the cash register. While sitting there, he put his fingers in his nose multiple times. I noticed this while I was eating, and it made me stop my meal. We made brief eye contact, but the behavior continued, which ultimately led me to leave this review. In addition, the tables were sticky and did not seem properly cleaned. The floor was also not clean and had small pieces of trash. I also noticed boxes of drinks, such as water and soda, placed directly on the floor, which did not look sanitary. I'm sharing this as constructive feedback, not to harm the business. Cleanliness and hygiene are extremely important in a restaurant, and addressing these issues would greatly improve the customer experience and confidence in dining here. read more

Our family absolutely love the food here... it is cooked with such care... everything fried is so crisp and well made... We love the humus and pita combo... the girls love the chicken tenders and fries. They give so much that they can share a dish. It speaks to their generosity. The onion rings are on as well as their new fish and chips meal. It's really nice to have a place where everyone in the family loves eating. I asked the cashier what she thought is popular under chicken meals and she pointed me to the wings with spicy rice which I ordered "hot" flavored Wings were cooked perfectly sauce was a little on the acidic side but overall delicious when balanced with the rice and white garlic sauce (not sure what that is) Spicy rice was delicious but was not spicy in the sense you'd think, rather it contained many spices. This place reminds me so much of Nando's and it tastes like it. Happy to see it come to South Riding, as the food options are very lacking here. The interior is nice and quaint, but I have only ordered takeout so far and my orders have been ready in about 20 mins. For food, I have gotten the Peri Chicken Wrap and Mini Platter, which includes 1/4 chicken, wings, and strips. The chicken is cooked well and is actually spicy depending on the level of spice you get. I got mild, but will try hot next time. The food here is very good in my opinion. I've been now 3 times since it opened a couple of months ago. Still having a hard time getting down the businsss side of things. Repeated phone calls to make a pick up order and no one answers. When there's no online ordering available yet I'm forced to come and order in person and wait in the front entrance (which is cozy and comfortable, but not my living room) for 20-25 mins. Kind of crazy that with 5+ people working no one is available to answer a phone call but workers can be seen on their personal cell phones while waiting for food. Hmm.. Service when a complaint has been made has been very accommodating and apologetic but it doesn't seem to be making anything more efficient. I'll keep letting them prove they can work on it but hoping these kinks get worked out sooner than later. read more

It's cute and clean! Ordered online and everything was ready when promised! I order 2 chicken wraps with fried chicken, potato wedges, peri fries, grilled corn on the cob. The food was tasty. The sauce isn't hot as advertised, not even close. The grilled corn is tasty yet it was charred a bit too much. I couldn't finish it. I'm usually too lazy to write reviews but I had such a good experience with this new business, I felt compelled to. I ordered takeout from the phone and the customer service was excellent. This gave me a good feeling and the interaction in the shop was positive. I had the honey garlic burger, HOT. Very good- I'd rank it higher than other popular places like Hot Lolas or Hangry Joes though perhaps the comparison is unfair, its a different type of sandwich. HOT was enough for my acid reflux to kick in but not so spicy that I couldn't enjoy it taste wise. Pops got a gyro, which he ranked as "better than expected" but not as good as the street gyro he got in Baltimore in the summer of 1997. But you get it - I had a bite and it was a solid offering. The rice was rice, we had some sauces that enhanced it. But maybe I'm not a rice guy (I don't really like Popeye's cajun rice either and my friends think I'm crazy cause of it). The whole experience was very positive and I'll check it out again. I'd definitely repeat the chicken burger but will expand to different offerings. One suggestion to the business - allow for online takeout that isn't through Grubhub. The prices offered were noticeably higher than the menu, which is not good if I'm picking up.
