OK, check this shit out. I was in the market for a new (to me) truck. I found a good deal on autotrader at Performance Honda. I scheduled an appointment online for 6 PM on 3/25/19. I had an email confirmation with one of 2 sales associates. Upon arriving I attempted to locate my desired vehicle, a 2014 Ford F150, by driving around the lot. No success. I then went to the "used car" building and was met with a sign that read, "used car associates are now located in the Honda sales office". I had an appointment that I created online for 6 PM. The appointment confirmation was for 6pm. I was about 20 minutes late considering I went to the wrong building. Upon arriving in the sales center, I was told that one of the confirmed associates was not there and the other may or may not be out smoking. After waiting in the entryway for 20 minutes, finally a helpful associate, Brock, asked my fiancee and I to wait in his cubicle area and said he would locate our desired vehicle. After approximately 30 minutes, Brock came to us and said they could not locate the vehicle and the managers told him to "figure it out". Considering it was already almost 7:30 and they closed at 8, I said we would return 2 days later on Wednesday and told him to not sell my truck. He said he couldn't imagine such a crazy scenario. Foreshadowing in full effect!.
So today I receive an email from Roger Hahn who I assume is a manager, and the poorly worded email states I should call him. I call and have to leave a voicemail. Approximately 90 minutes later, he returns my call but I have to explain who I am and what vehicle I was interested in seeing the night before. Aa a side note, this dealership is at least 25 from my house. He states that someone else is interested in the truck I came to see the night before. I told him I understand they are in the business to make money and that, even though I had arrived the night before to view said vehicle, I did not have that opportunity to see it. He said that he had gone to retrieve the vehicle and when he returned, I was already gone. No one said they were getting the vehicle. I would have waited had there had been any statement such as that! Anyway, to shorten this a bit, Roger called me to say they sold the vehicle even though I was there before the eventual buyer.
Ultimate review is RUN. RUN away from anything named Performance. Honda, Toyota, whatever. No honor whatsoever. If you think you're a valued customer, think again. Appointments and commitments mean nothing unless you have money in hand. I was willing to pay cash for the truck I was looking for but I didn't have that opportunity.
I received a call from Mr. Hahn saying they sold the truck and would look for one that matched what I was looking for.
My final statement is if you're shopping ANYTHING Performance in Fairfield then go somewhere else. Unless you're willing to hand them a kidney then they couldn't care less about you. Fuck them, I'll gladly pay more at a respectable business that appreciates their customers than these shysters that don't give a shit about anything that doesn't line their pockets. My only hope is that these assshats see this, however I know it won't change anything! Good luck! read more
