Spray tan newbie sharing my experience: I previously had 2 spray tans over the past several years prior to finding perfect tan. Although one was splotchy and the other one was uncomfortable and smelly.. I understood the purpose of them: everyone looks better tan AKA instant beauty boost!! SO I had some extra cash over summer and was about to go on my first vacation with my boyfriend to Miami.... of course I wanted to look the best I could, so my pale self decided to treat myself to a spray tan. I started reading reviews of different tanning places and was amazed at all the positive reviews left for perfect tan. Other people on the internet seemed to believe this was the best place so I gave it a try... AND MY OH MY has it changed my spray tan experience forever!! Walked in (after following their Covid guidelines & procedures) and immediately was greeted by Mindy. We talked about my experiences thus far, what I was looking for, and she answered ALL my questions with a smile and SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE. She has devoted so much time and care to perfecting her business and it was evident with the whole experience. It is a small office that is private and cozy (which makes it oh-so-much easier to strip down if you have stage fright) but also mindy is personable and radiates comfort and kindness. I literally told my mom afterwards that I have never felt more comfortable standing naked in front of a stranger in my whole life... reason being... she doesn't let you feel like a stranger and is literally a guru at this. The tan itself was very quick, comfortable, and informative, as she explained each step and continued answering all my questions during the process. ALSO: rapid drying option?!? PRAISE BE! This option allows you to rinse after 3ish hours instead of 8... (or more as directed from other places). She also has her own skin care line specifically designed to be gentle, clean/moisturize, and help prolong the tan. I was so impressed with the experience that I prepaid for 5 tabs that I could use over the next several months (there was also a discount of prepaying... HOLLA). I just got my 3rd tan from Mindy and I am definitely hooked !! Love, Love, Love! I don't spray tan often (only for weddings). Service was so friendly! I felt so comfortable throughout the whole experience. Due to my procrastination, I had to squeeze this in the middle of my work day and was worried about the color getting on my clothes or me smelling like a tan (you know the smell!) BUT it wasn't like that at all! I felt "sticky" for the first hour as expected but it quickly went away and I was able to get though my day with no discomfort. The color was PERFECT. I was very concerned about looking unnatural and orange since I'm very fair skinned but it looked so natural like I had gotten the tan naturally. I love tanning here. I have very fair skin and love to spray tan before special events or vacations. I've been to a lot of different custom spray tan locations in the area and these ladies are by far the best. Their formula really sticks to my skin and I feel like it lasts more like 14 days, longer than 10 days. The ladies also make me feel so comfortable. I have been going to Perfect Tan for 4 and a half years now and I love it! I used to tan in tanning beds before I started coming to Mindy and after the first time trying it out, I quit my tanning bed membership and never looked back. She took time to educate me on the health benefits and I'm so happy I found her because who knows what my skin wound look like if I continued in the tanning beds! Mindy has the best quality tan out there. Her tan solution is formulated by her and has purple undertones so you don't look orange. She truly cares about her customers and takes time to make sure that your tan is absolutely perfect every single time. If there has ever been a mistake throughout the years she fixes it immediately. She makes and sells her own product as well like lotions, body butter, body wash, tan refresher etc. ( they all help extend your tan!) Mindy treats her customers like family and literally goes above and beyond. This is ONE example of many: it started pouring rain outside during my tan one time out of no where. So that my tan didn't get messed up, Mindy gave me some of her towels to cover up with, she ran in the rain to get my car, pulled it up front and opened the car door for me as I rushed over to get in! She is just fabulous in every way. My boyfriend comes with me as well and we love her so much that even though we moved from Plano to Dallas and we still make the drive. I was so touched by how attentive to detail they were to ensure there were no splotches or streaking, and impressed with the level of experience they had in the process. That experience and expertise was demonstrated with answers to my questions and explanations of what to do and NOT to do to ensure a beautiful tan--particularly in the first 48 hours as it processed, along with doing an EXCELLENT job on the spray process itself. Mindy does a great job! She is quick and efficient and my tan is always perfect. I did have someone else spray me here once and while it was good it wasn't as good as Mindy does. I will always request her! It's also nice to promote a small business. So many commercial places offer MORE expensive spay tans and they don't compare to the airbrush tan you receive from Mindy! I have never written a review for any business before-but I feel the need to for Perfect Tan. I've been going to Perfect Tan for almost a year and have been more pleased here than any other tanning salon I've ever been to. (Been tanning for a decade). I love that they have appointment setting so that I never have to wait in line- every time I come in they are already ready to start. They also have a nice waiting area if you have to bring someone with you. Mindy Neal is very professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable on the products/processes. The aftercare products she sells also actually work to help extend the tan ,as opposed to the stuff that planet tan and palm beach try to push off on you at every visit. I have had quite a few spray tans and this was horrible. My husband said " wow, you look splotchy at best." It was gross. I also did the heat wrap and it's a complete joke! The place was dirty (pee all dried on the toilet, dust and dust bunnies) the lady who sprayed me was very nice and I felt comfortable the products were just nasty. I hadn't had a spray tan in years before going to Perfect Tan a few days before I was supposed to be in a wedding. I was nervous as I am 5.5 months pregnant and just wasn't sure what to expect from an airbrush salon. Mindy was so helpful and informative and I felt very comfortable throughout my whole experience. I used a Groupon discount so the tan was very inexpensive. If I lived in the area and tanned regularly, this would be my go-to place for sure. My only issue was that while the color was perfectly even, I did not get much darker than my original shade, especially on my face. However, I'm sure that if I were to have gone back for a touch up, this wouldn't have been an issue; I just didn't have the time.
