I showed up 5 mins early- a technition directs me there will be a 10 min wait, I remind him that I have a 3pm appointment including my name. 10 mins later he directs me to a seat to sit-- mind you I have noticed there are only 2 techs working in the salon and neither are 10 mins frm finishing there service. I'm no dummy so I say " you want me to sit in water for 15-20 mins while you finish your client when I had an appointment ??!! Yes I did sit in the seat with the cold water, I brought this to his attention before he walked away so he added scalding hot water to warm things up -- grrrr -- I sat for 10 mins took my feet out for a minute because I was uncomfortable due to him not turning the foot machine on -- He walked over and asked if I wanted my feet dried, I said "no , I am just taking them out for a moment" his was response was " you took them out so I wasn't sure" ---grrrrr--- mind you I have not raised my voice but I am being adamant in my words and thoughts. At some point he reminded me that he could refuse service to me & then attempted to act As though he was going to work on me I said " wait you think your going to work on me and do a shitty job?!" This is when he refused me service-- I said " you're going to refuse me service when I made an appointment and have been treated as a walk-in customer". THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!! I used only one curse word, never referred to anything in a negative racial manner. Never made a mess and didn't act out of pocket ! Was I wrong ? I am 65 yrs young and refuse to be played or give anyone my hard earned retirement money. It wasn't about my time, it was about business ethics which PIXIE NAIL SALON HAS NONE ! I've never seen pedicures cost this much! The tech. spoke in their language, laughing, I said I guess I'll get the 115.00, Well, when I went to pay, which was 178.00, to include 20.00 dollar tip. I told the receptionist I've never paid so much for a pedicure, she said here let me show you the options, I told her there were only 2 options presented to me. So nail tech. and maybe assist. Manager came over, explained this again, Assist. manager said there were more choices, again I told her only two were presented to me, they should me another book that opened with choices, I said again this wasn't presented to me. She then said the only thing we can do is refund your tip. I know the big question, when you saw the prices why didn't you decline, Well I had a event to go to, and my feet were already in the water, waiting for nail tech. The owner, Tracy, is extremely talented. I have moved on from a French manicure to airbrush nails. I can go five weeks before I need to get my nails done again. Tracy does such a good job. The staff at the salon are very friendly and welcoming and with the music playing in the background, you feel more like you're at a friend's house than a place of business. I have referred friends to Royal Nails & Spa and they have also been very happy. Just go, you won't regret it.
