Went to this location because of convenience, even thought it didn't have amazing reviews. There is a sign saying it's under new management, this is my first time so I can't confirm that. I got a gel pedicure and picked option number 2, which was $45. It included a massage, mask, hot towels and all that. It took just over an hour and was the most relaxing and luxurious pedicure I've ever had. My polish looks perfect and I will update my review if it for any reason doesn't last as expected. Based on today's experience I'd go back here in a heartbeat. Update: 29 days later. Went back yesterday for a new gel pedicure. My last one still looked great after 29 days! went in for a pedicure today after seeing yelp reviews. place is clean, staff is very friendly and you never get the impression they are talking about you. I had a man (think his name was David) and he did a great job on my toes, he was very meticulous and when I requested a design that wasn't a flower he gave me just that with perfection. Basic pedicure is 17$ with 5$ for flower or design (they even used jewels). They have a better package for 30$ but dont push it on you at all. I must say I did get the shellac and it chipped while I was shopping after my appt and two more nails chipped later that week...i was going to go back to have them re-done since that's not supposed to happen but couldn't find the time. Haven't been back since then because of that. I just feel that if i'm going to spend 60$ getting my toes and nails done they should last. read more

I just recently started going to Best Nails because the nail place I used to go to was "too busy" for me. I found Best Nails on Yelp and am so happy to find this place. I've been really fortunate to have great service here. I also get my eyebrows done for $8 such a deal and they do a great job! Their deluxe spa pedicure package is awesome for only $30 - you get callous removal, foot mask, sugar scrub, leg massage with heat lotion, cooling gel for tired legs and hot towels. Other places that I've gone to for the same package is usually $45 or $50. Such a great deal and they do an excellent job! Best Nails is now my place to go for a pedicure and eyebrow wax! Finally, a nail salon that made my feet and legs happy. I used to get my foot spa treatment weekly but being a mother of a toddler made the trips less and less. My heels were cracking and my feet were looking old! Best Nails did a good job in making my heels look they way its supposed to be. The sea salt scrub made my legs softer and smoother and got rid of my calluses. I am sure my heels would look perfect again they way they used to be when I was in my 20's after one more trip to Best Nails! Excellent customer service. Before I knew it she was going to town grinding away. By then it was too late. She didn't push back or cut my cuticles at all. she just nipped some dead skin. HUH? Then the fun part...she went to town with the gel. I started noticing that the polish was getting on my skin and just looked so sloppy. I mentioned it to her several times. I actually said to her, "look at this, it is totally sloppy" She would just load on another coat of gel and then when it was wet try to remove it with a stick. When I walked outside into the light I realized how horrid they really were. They were so bad that when I got home I was actually able to just peel them all off like it was nothing. Very pleased with this experience. I was taken care of in every way. I received a pedicure with exfoliation, soothing gel and a lotion with a pleasant aroma. Simultaneously, the women did my nails. I enjoy the color selection they had and the shape of the nails was nicely done. You can tell they invested in good quality spa chairs.. because the automatic back massage was really good! Granted it was a little cheaper than most places but there were several things I asked the manicurist to fix that she wouldn't and made excuses for. I got my nails done 2 days ago (Monday) and the gel is already peeling off.... Today is Wednesday. I wanted a pale/light pink (almost white with a tint of pink) and she put on a coat of light pink on top which completely changed the color.... Now the nails are a bubblegum color. I went on a Monday and there was only one other person in the salon so it's not like they were busy and had to rush through a manicure. Let me start by saying I usually frequent happiness nails for all my pedi mani needs but today after getting my acrylics done with my gal pal today at Happiness and deciding I was in need to go tan (itan is right next to best nails) I thought I'd get a quick pedi ! It's a lil hole in the wall place , which can sometimes be a great find , and I saw no one was in there so thought I'm sure I can get a quick , nice pedi before my tan I was greeted promptly by two older ladies ; the only 2 I saw working there , and asked to pick my color. Their polish selection could use some updating but there are a few gems to be found. I selected my polish , grabbed a magazine (which were current . That's a plus) and sat into the spa chair. The water was a good temp and the chair was comfy. Now I must say she cleaned my nails up nice , removed the dry skin and made my feet super soft ! Then we get to the massage -_- . She literally globbed a ton of lotion on my legs and rubbed for 2 Mins ! I kid you not it wasn't even rubbed it ! I've never ever had that happen anywhere , even places that didn't give a good massage at least rub the lotion in for Christ's sake . She grabs a warm towel and wipes it off. I hand her my selected polish and she paints my toes while I read a magazine. They don't look awful at all but there was polish on my skin which she did not clean up. So she finishes up and I had to ask her for disposable flip flops even tho she knew I had on closed toe shoes ( lost a star ) because she acted like it was such a,hassle . Now it's time to pay ! I'm a great tipper when I'm pleased with my service.. I'm getting up to pay and she says "22 cash " I politely said no I only have a card - acts frustrated again. Really ?? You're getting paid . Sorry buck Rodgers it's the 21st century. So instead of the 10 I was leaving you .. you get 5 ! All in all not the best not the worst. Although I enjoyed the ladies here I went in with my girlfriend and the place was empty and we were excited to be able to get both mani and pedi before work. We had about 3 hours to get it done and then some of their return customers came in and they stopped tending to us to cater the other people and normally I wouldn't be upset but we told them our time schedule and they made us wait so long we eventually had to leave without getting either one of our nails shaped and pained with gel color. We were very disappointed to say the least and to make it worse we went back the next day to get them finished and it turned out so sloppy I should've paid to get them finished somewhere else! These ladies don't know what they're doing! I got the overpriced $40 spa pedi/mani package. They filed my nails ridiculously crooked, and left nailpolish overlapping my skin, which has since caused the nailpolish to peel after a day. The leg massage didn't last long enough, and she barely applied any pressure. One gal did my toes while the other did my hands at the same time--the mani gal stayed on one side of me, so I had to awkwardly reach across for her to do my left hand. I couldn't enjoy the spa pedi at all because of that. After my mani, I noticed there were little hairs/fibers stuck to my nailpolish, and I asked them to fix it. They painted right over the hairs instead of starting over, and I could still see them stuck to my nails. Ughgh, never going back here! read more

I've been a customer of this salon since Feb 09 when I moved back to Oceanside from Phoenix. I wanted to continue getting my nails and eyebrow waxing done. I was happy with there service up until a couple months ago, when my eyebrows were "messed up". The staff is friendly and very social with the customers. Becky is so sweet. Always remembers everyone and she's really funny if you get to talking to her. She isn't the easiest to understand, but that doesn't really matter. She does my eyebrows, too. You won't get the best shaper at a place like this, but it's great to have my brows "cleaned up" in-between appointments at a more skilled and more expensive place. I have been coming here with my mom for years! They get busy and I have observed some rushing, but nothing ever happened where my nails or eyebrows were messed up. The individuals working there are so sweet and friendly. Everyone I have come across does a wonderful job! I especially love Becky and her daughter. Terrible service . Dirty place. Very bad English and hard to understand and had to repeat myself many times. I pointed out a mistake of my nail to the lady and she was doing a spa pedicure on a lady so when I pointed out my mistake she grabs my hand to look at it and didn't remove her filthy gloves she had on from scrubbing another persons feet. Girls were unprofessional talking on their cell phones while doing our nails. We waited 30 minutes after our scheduled appointment to be seen. My acrylic nails were sloppily painted and when I asked her to fix them she tried and laughed. My nails, which had a gel top coat, chipped that night. My sister's nails lifted and the corners broke. I gave this place a second tried, worst than the 1st time. The two women there were super nice, kind & very polite, but their work & quality was horrible. I got jell mani, polish was thick & bulky, it was so closed to my cuticles that it peeled off after 2 days & when I run my hands thru my hair, it would get caught in my nails. It was so annoying. Eventually after 5 days I just wanted to feel off my polish, but I ended up taking it off the correct way. The polish they used was cheap & she weren't very skillful. I stumbled in here last night in need of a last minute pedicure. The places near my house were all closed for the night and I passed this place and went in. It was 10 minutes after closing so I didn't think they'd take me especially without an appointment, but there were still people in there so they took me. The inside of the salon was very clean and classy looking. My only problem was that it smelled very strongly of nail polish, moreso than other places I've been. The four workers who were there were all very friendly and their english was great. They said that they often work after closing because they don't like to turn anybody away. They had nice leather massaging pedicure chairs. I figured that they might be a little rushed to get out of there since it was so late but that was not the case at all! They were very relaxed and I had a great experience. My pedicure turned out beautiful, and she even got rid of an ingrown toenail I got from my work shoes completely painlessly! Two women were getting pink and whites done and their nails looked beautiful when they were done. The prices were good, for a basic spa pedicure its $17, for a basic spa manicure $10, and $25 for both. They also have more expensive and luxurious pedicures for $30-$40 if you want it. They offered these to me but by no means pushed them on me so it was nice . I got the basic pedicure which included the foot bath, lotion massage, and callus removal, nail clipping/shaping, and polish. This was my first time going there and I think i'll be going there for my next mani/pedi! The best experience I've had in Oceanside since I moved here a year ago :) read more

I won't ever go to this place again! Walked in on a Friday morning, they asked what I wanted and I told them a pedicure. They told me to pick out a color, so I was. While doing that one of the women walks over to me and places her hand on my belly and asks when I am due... I looked at her and told her I am not pregnant. All the while she is still rubbing my belly! Then she laughs about it! I should have walked away right then but I had time to waste. The pedicure sucked. Not pleased at all!! I came here 2 weeks ago for the first time. There was 2 females working there: I had my pedicure done by older Asian women (who I believe is the owner) and my manicure done by the other lady. My first experience was great.... when I went back a week later, the lady who did my manicure the first time was not available so the owner did my manicure.. to begin off--i had to take off my own nail polish with acetone.. then as soon as i was done with doing that, she was then about to use the cuticle pusher and cutter that was previously used on the person before me that was not sanitized!! i had to ask her to please disinfect them. she replied saying "oh i am so sorry we were so busy"-- then she cleaned it right away. We went off with a nice flowing conversation but as i was watching her paint my nails i noticed that she was rushing and was painting the sides of my fingers.. She did go back and try to take the paint off the sides but there was just too much paint everywhere... It looked like a 6 year old painted my nails, not a professional!! My husband then walked in and he even said something... This was the worst paint job I have ever had in my life!! She was very rude to me when I kindly asked her if she can re-paint them. She went off saying she needs money, she works 7 days a week and classified me as a rich person. I am extremely far from rich!!!!! This was a Terrible experience and I do not suggest anyone to go there. As I walked out she dumped the bowl of acetone that I soaked and took of my polish with, down the sewer outside. I am pretty sure that is illegal to do!!!!
