The entire staff here are very rude. When I walked in, I stood there, and stood there without anyone even acknowledging me. I got in a couple hours later. I was here to get color and from the beginning I was treated badly. The woman who filed my nails was very rough. This was to the point where it became painful so I politely asked her to be a bit softer. She didn't change her tune and kept at the same pace, so I again reiterated that it hurt, but it only made her angry and she started speaking very loudly in Vietnamese to the other staff, as if she were venting to them about me. This was an older woman. When I was ready for color, a man took over and proceeded to get color everywhere on my hands. He decided to use scissors to cut away the extra color around my nails and ended up cutting into my skin. Out of shear pain I instinctively yelled "owe". Just as the older woman did, he continued without hesitation to nip at the color with the scissors, all while being very rough and appearing agitated. Again, I felt the scissors cut into me. This time I was a little more direct and told him that he was cutting my skin. This is when the older woman who filed my nails prior to this stood up and came at me in an aggressive manner and was even held back by other staff, all while screaming at me in Vietnamese. I don't speak Vietnamese, but you don't have to be fluent in a language to know you are being berated and insulted. Completely unacceptable! Will never be back to this place. read more

Worst experience I have ever had was at a nail salon. The girl was terrible, first she tells me she will not fill my French tip nails because it will be ugly, then she rips off the nails she sees fit too, and she hurt my nails the entire time she was doing them. She would not do anything I asked her to, horrible experience. I have never had a place tell me they can't fill my French tip when it was the first fill, I should have walked out that minute but I didn't and sat to endure a very rude and inconsiderate person. I had a bad experience here. The young gal doing the manicure was rude and would shove my hands towads me. The woman doing my pedicure rubbed my skin raw with the pumice stone. After she rubbed it raw she put antiseptic on it and it stung really bad. I won't be going back. read more

i was in the salon with my mother who wanted to treat herself to a pedicure. my mom went out of her way to wait til she could go to THIS salon because she loves the work one of the ladies at this salon does with her feet, since my mom has had many surgery's on her foot (including to have removed one of her toes). THAT same lady had the audacity to make fun of her with one of the other workers for her missing toe and hairy legs (it's winter don't act like you shave your legs all the time in the winter). i watch my mothers excitement build up for this pedicure the entire day and walk out holding back tears of embarrassment. i've never seen my mother like that and i'm ashamed this place made her feel that way. read more

the service i got here is unreal. i don't mean that in a good way. the nail tech i was sat with was horrible. i tried my best to be nice and was successful. however she sat there trying to rip my skin off my hand. i have a tiny nub from an accident and there's just the smallest price of skin. usually i cannot feel the skin but she was very rough and it hurt a lot. that's not even the worst part either. i get a fill every 2 weeks going to fancy nails where the service is honestly amazing. (go to holly she's a babe and i love her) however i didn't have time to go there today as they are busy most days and i get why. they're great. so i went here hoping for quicker service and i get why their lobby was next to empty. the lady quite literally ripped my nail off. like the acrylic nail was ripped off from how rough she was drilling. my nails don't lift badly really so this took some work. it literally came off from how hard on my nail she was being. she drilling into my skin on almost every nail and when she repaired the nail she took off she used a bend tip. she did not take her time and there are ugly bumps in the nail. there is also bubbles in the polish. she knew she was hurting me and when i tried to pull away she squeezed my finger hard and pulled me towards her. the process was painful and burned so badly. she was also a bit rude. that's enough on that nail tech though. there was another who did my boyfriends little sisters nails. she and i get our nails done together. the lady she was with was also very rough and careless. at the end the lady rolled her eyes at her and talked to her as if she was stupid. simply because she didn't catch what the lady said to her and needed her to repeat herself. not to mention how many steps were missed. it also isn't very sanitary from what i saw. the lady literally used an extremely dirty file for my nails and is reusing the monomer (nail liquid) which is also gross. it sucks to waste a lot but other nail techs have very small glass cups to prevent from too much waste. if i could i would give zero stars. the service and quality is horrible. oh and they charged way too much for the crappy set my boyfriends sister received. 45? they tell you it's 35 for a set.. and charged her 10 more for no reason. i definitely won't be back. you can take your money to fancy nails where you can get very nice nails for 45. not the ones i got because hers matched mine. pathetic work goes on here. do not go to perfect nails in redding next to safeway. it's not worth it. i'm a good paying customer and i will pay good money for nails. however they don't care here. they want to rip you off and leave you in pain. i got them done at 2 and my nails still hurt. sorry for any typos! read more

If I could give a zero, I definitely would... Worlds worst service...walked in at 9:25 am with my daughter and was informed it would be 15 minutes...I asked if I could ask to Safeway and purchase a few things and come back...I was assured I would be fine and they'd take care of us...after coming back all their chairs had been filled and I waited over 35 more minutes (to the tune of 55 minutes in total)...the girl who originally gave us the 15 minute queue was readying two chairs which were given to two other women who claimed they'd been waiting over and hour...they walked in after I walked to the store...and, of course, I was tired and left...I called and was given the excuse that they readied the chairs for myself and my daughter (which I know was a lie as the other two women climbed into to spots before I lost it) but couldn't do anything as I left...save yourself the drama of these unprofessional, highly rude people...get better service, lower price, higher quality pedicure at Tammy's Nails on Churn Creek... read more

This was the most horrible experience! I went in the afternoon to get a pedi, which was ok. You can tell they are talking about you and make remarks about how much you tip.. Anyway, I went back in later with my sister for a full set. The lady pushed very hard to up sell to gel nails. I kept saying no thank you and she pushed and pushed until I had no choice. It was very upsetting. When literally rushing out the door, my sister gave them $10 in cash for tip. I checked my bank today and they charged me an additional $10 for tip on my card. I did not approve of it or sign for it. WOW.. when will they stop. read more

I had just a simple manicure with no polish.....I noticed that the girl who did my manicure used the same cuticle trimmer, nail file and buffing block that she used before me because she did not bring out any new sterile implements. She just used what was in her little tray, so, no way were they sterilized...she nipped my cuticle which bled a little and she apologized. I should have left immediately, but I will not be back...too many diseases out there to take a chance. read more

My first experience was bad. She didn't clean her tools and unevenly filed my nails. I decided to try again a few months later (just two days ago) and this time is my last time. The lady did not clean her tools, again. You can see the remaining white stuff from the last client she was helping. The fake nails were glued on "very noticeably" cricket on one of my ring finger and one of my pinky and she didn't care to fix it. So I asked her very nicely if she can fix it straight. She said "okay," but started complaining in Vietnamese to her co-workers. She took out a tweezerman and grabbed the edge of the fake nail and started peeling. Well, since my real nail is glued to the fake nail, it peeled off my real nail too. That hurt SO MUCH I yelled "OUCH." If I had not, she would have peeled off completely my real nail. When the peeling method didn't work, she took out her filing tool that was attached to a little machine and turned it up very high and started filing the fake nail off. When the fake nail was already off, she kept filing my real nail off too. It was horrifying. I wanted to believe she knew what she was doing, but I just couldn't because it started to hurt. She filed too deep into my nail bed. My nail was in so much pain. She said a few words in Vietnamese and just left. A new lady came to help me. This lady had wonderful customer service, but before she said anything to me she filed off a pretty good chunk of skin on two of my fingers (located on the side of my nail). Yes, my fingers bled because so much skin was filed off. The filer she used was the one attached to the little machine too. This experience was like being in a horror movie to me. I felt stuck there. Either I finish the whole thing, leave, and never come back OR have them take it off and "EFF UP" my nails even more by filing off my real nails along with the fake ones. Now thinking about it, you either have to accept the crappy work or you ask them to fix it and they release their anger and frustration on your real finger nails. I would warn anyone to stay away. There are so many nail salon in Redding, you shouldn't have to go through what I did. This experience was so traumatizing to me, I've decided to never get my nails done ever again. I had been going to this salon to for about 6 months for maintenance of my acrylic nails and regular pedicures. The last time I went, while getting my pedicure, one of the ladies started to do my nails. All of the sudden, I noticed the son and the girl doing my nails seemed to be having a heated argument. The son walked through the shop then started throwing things off of his work station. I abruptly ended my pedicure and my fill and left. That was totally unprofessional and in my eyes a deal breaker. I went elsewhere to get my services finished. I will not darken their door again. I was very put off by their behavior. I have been here twice. The first time was great. I had a regular mani pedi with polish. They did regular polish with falling glitter. This time the lady had no clue. Tried for like 40 min. The place was getting ready to close so I asked that they take it off I would pay for the mani and come back and pay for polish. They freaked out insisted I pay for her time and pay in full even though I left with no polish on my nails and polish all on my fingers. They were rude and argumentative. The whole 2 hours were a wast of time and money. I would never go back if you want a 50% chance of spending money on what you ask for than it should work fine. read more

After driving to three different nail salons, and being told they had nothing available for several days I got extremely frustrated. I found perfect nails which welcomes walk-ins. I decided to get the deluxe pedicure which was $40. The woman who took care of me was awesome. In addition to a typical pedi, there was a lot of massage, a salt scrub, paraffin wax treatment, hot stone massage, and hot towel treatment. Well worth the $40. I think I was in the chair for a good hour. I would highly recommend perfect nails. read more

I'm surprised they have high marks. I walked in because it's convenient for me to do business there. The owner did my nails. She did fine. But, not very friendly at all. The older woman did my pedicure. I told them I thought I had an ingrown nail. She dug on my cuticles, which I think she made it worse. She cute my toes twice. I went back and asked for the guy. Wasn't impressed. I told him as well I had ingrown toe nail. Nothing, totally ignored me. One of the other girls did my fill. she did a fantastic job. Then went back and the owner did my fill, did not listen to what I wanted. Again, didn't say a word to me. I had another pedicure. A different person. I came home with my toes itching and my toe, that I once again told her I have an ingrown toe nail, did nothing. It felt like it was infected. So, I couldn't bare the pain anymore, went back to my old shop and they fixed me right up. She suggested I contact the shop, and it was too late to take photos, but I should have. I've been going to this salon for over a year. Switched from gel to dipped (SNS) usually super quick and awesome job. 2 weeks ago I go in, with dipped you have to soak off then get fresh product on your nails. I'm 100% positive this young man wasn't a licensed manicurist, he was slow (2 ladies came in after me and walked out way before me .. BOTH also got dipped nails both had soaked off then new) He clearly didn't know what he was doing, within a week most of my nails were lifting and chipping off. I ended up ripping them off, came back in to get a new set. When ASKED I mentioned that I was back after just 1 week because of the bad job previously received. No mention of any sort of apology or discount. During the appt she kept laughing and looking at me. She did a so-so job, didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped so I got rounded... which I hate! But she had already started so no going back! Long story short? I gave them a second chance... they proved to be inconsistent and unprofessional. This place gets no stars from us. My mom and I went thinking it's real convenient because Safeway is right there. They took us in right away. But after that it was down hill all the way. The man doing my pedicure said he could do a pretty design I showed him a pic from my phone but when it came time to do it he only had white I said no and he yelled at me and walked off. Another person there actually finished his job. Then my mom was getting manicure and the old lady working on her was rude and kept yanking my mom's hand also when my mom said not to cut them she did it anyway and it all turned out awful. Not to mention instead of the communicating and asking my mom for her polish that she brought she just started to rummage through my mom's purse. I would NEVER GO HERE! Unprofessional! I made an appointment for a simple fill with gel polish for my mom & myself, which they quoted over the phone at $20.00. We arrived 5 minutes before our appointment time and I asked again how much, they then quoted $27.00. So.... my mom was seated first, and after I had sat there for about 30 minutes, I still had not even been spoken to. I finally reminded them, after they took two walk-ins ahead of me, that I was also supposed to be getting my nails done. They informed me that there wasn't anyone available who knew how to do acrylic nails! Isn't that what nail shops do?? Then they tried to make excuses that they were short handed. I wish they had told me that earlier when I called. I would've gone elsewhere. I waited 15 more minutes, then spilt to Starbucks and made an appointment at a different salon. If this is their typical customer service, I would expect they won't last long. read more
