There are two Flatbush locations. This is for the perfect brows at 1587 Flatbush Avenue. WARNING: Please do not do any waxing here. The practices are unsanitary and it is costing me my clear skin. I did not get the waxer's name but she worked on Sunday August 11th in the late afternoon. She didn't even speak. She waxed my chin, under my neck and cheeks. Once I left my face was tingling and started to swell. As the week went on, the parts that swelled started to scab over. She burnt me and now I have rashes on my face due to the unsanitary practices. I now have to use antibiotics and anti-inflammatory prescriptions to try and restore my skin. She also did a terrible job threading my eyebrows. read more

I recently had a terrible experience at a salon where I've been getting my eyebrows threaded since high school. I asked for a simple "clean up," but the results were disastrous. The lady removed the arch from one of my eyebrows but left it in the other, making them look completely uneven. She also left a lot of hair at the tail of my brows, and they ended up looking zig-zagged and uneven in size. One eyebrow was noticeably larger than the other. When I went back to have it fixed, the same day, the older lady at the salon implied that I hadn't gotten them done there, despite me offering to show my receipt. The manager intervened and said I didn't need to show proof. They called over the lady who did my eyebrows, and then they started speaking in another language. I heard her say, "she told me." The older lady attempted to fix my eyebrows, but the damage was already done. There's only so much you can do when someone has already removed too much hair. I left the salon with uneven, poorly shaped brows and a heavy heart. The manager apologized, saying the lady who did my brows didn't speak much English and that next time I should ask another employee translate. However, she knew enough to ask if I wanted my upper lip and forehead threaded and she replied yes. So, how was I supposed to know that she didn't understand?? It's been hard to find a new eyebrow threading spot now that I no longer work in the City. I've found an okay location in Williamsburg but I didn't feel like making the drive out there on Monday (Feb. 20). See, if I were wowed after every session, I might've made the drive but I'm usually not so I thought I could forgo and try a new location -- here. The threading process was painless and quick. So quick that I had to ask her if we were done because she just walked away and started talking to her colleague. Eyebrows weren't anything spectacular but did the job. Came in on a Sunday to get henna tattoos for me, my sister and niece. With only two employees already knew we'd be there long. What I didnt realize was that to compensate they'd do a piss poor rushed job on my sister, one so bad that my niece and I opted out. First issue- when my sister asked the male employee if there was a book of designs his response was they do them "free mind", as in off the top of their heads. Second issue- when he did produce a book with images it was an actual (mediocre) book.... not pics of their work. Luckily my sister found an image she liked on her phone which the person doing the tattoo swore she could replicate.... LIES! 3rd issue- The results looked very unprofessional, sloppy, smudeged, and as if a novice did it. Definitely not worth the $20 which the male employee happily took without even acknowledging her discontent. I saw a woman getting her nails done and complimented her on her lashes, they looked real nice. I'd been curious about lash extensions because my idea of a made up face is filling in my brows and adding lipstick...I'm basic! However, I was willing to venture out of my makeup box and decided to go for it. One thing I was clear about was that I wasn't willing to invest $60 on mink lashes...not for my first time anyway. I entered this business and was immediately greeted by one of the ladies (I didn't get her name). My main questions were how long they'd last and how to take care of them? She told me to avoid hot steamy showers, be gentle washing my face and the lashes should last two weeks depending on which I selected. She then gave me her recommendation which I was pleased with. Another lady did the installation. It was a pleasant experience. She kept asking if I was okay, which I was. I paid, left and returned home about 30-minutes later. I'm standing in my kitchen look down on the counter and there's a lash just sitting there and I noticed another on the floor. Note...haven't taken a shower or washed my face. I went back to the shop a few hours later, explained what happened and they fixed it. By the next morning two more lashes have dropped off and by night fall I have a total of six lashes pictured on the napkin. It's been less than 48-hours! I'm making my final visit for them to either correct this OR take the rest of them off. I'm not mad. I do feel annoyed at the inconvenience of my time being wasted having to make multiple visits to correct something that they seem to be so good at. Maybe my lids just don't like extensions ‍. I came to the salon on Sunday December 3, I needed to get my eyebrows done because I had an event that night. The lady there seemed very nice and I had explained to her I wanted mink medium lashes. The quality of the lashes were horrible they reminded me of the lashes dollar tree or deals sells. She then preceded to doing my left eye, then she placed me in front of a stand fan for my lash to dry. While she was doing my lashes she was also doing threading on other's eyebrows. That had me moving from chair to chair while I was being serviced, never Washed her hand when she came back to my eyes. That same night my lashes started falling out and by Wednesday December 6, all my lashes fell out. Can you believe this, my lashes didn't even last a week. I go to this place on a regular to get my eyebrows threaded by my lady (don't remember her name) but today she wasn't there so I decided to risk it and go to another lady and I REGRET IT . I instructed her to clean my eyebrows up and shape it NOT THIN OR GIVE ME A BALD SPOT. I sat in her chair and she began threading it and I noticed how everytime she went to clean my eyebrows the thread would break. I looked up from my chair and noticed immediately a light spot on my eyebrows . I told her that wasn't there before and that she had messed up my eyebrows but she told me it's "Extra Hair" that she removed. HOW IS THIS EXTRA HAIR? YOU GAVE ME A BALD SPOT ON MY THICK EYEBROWS AND THOUGHT I WOULDNT NOTICE. Instead of taking accountability or apologizing she told me she could fix it . I refused for her to fix it because if you couldn't follow simple instructions the first time why would i trust you to fix the second time? I asked to speak to the manager, she refused! I asked for her name, she refused! Again! So i had to go to another location in the area by footlocker and they fixed it up for me. I went to this place yesterday for a Brazilian wax. I typically go to the same place but was in a rush and decided to try some place new. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the place and the prices. While receiving my wax the woman did a pretty good job. She was quick and I was happy with the way everything looked. She was also funny and nice. However when it was time to pay that's where my issue was. Actually prior to getting the wax I felt the vibe that she was trying to get me to get the more expensive wax but not with good intentions but once we spoke I got over that. Fast forward when it was time to pay she told me the price would be 55 (the price of the more seaweed wax that I declined) when the price list said the wax I received was 45 (chocolate wax) when I asked her why I was being charged 55 she stated because I got my backside waxed as well. I've been getting waxed for a years and "Brazilian wax" includes front and back. I paid the 55 because I was not going to argue over 10 bucks however she lied and to me that is NO business integrity and I do not respect that. I will not be returning to this business because I find that to be very disrespectful and completely wrong. When I left I asked her for her bosses name (there was a language barrier) but she understood everything up until this conversation and did not let me know the bosses name. The lady asked which location, I told her and she said I can just walk in. I came to the store later and told the woman I brought the deal on Groupon she said ok and did my eyebrows. She was rude from the start but I didn't think anything of it. The threading was rushed and she made my eyebrows two different shapes so even after I scrubbed off the horrible uneven tint I still have to fill in my brows. Oh and I almost forgot, She didn't even clean my eyebrows before putting on the tint like she's supposed to but that's better for me I guess because they came right off. I came here on a whim, after they relocated to a larger space outside the 2/5 train on Flatbush Avenue. The first girl who did my threading made it so painful that I was sweating & had to stop several times; my body knew that it wasn't a normal type of pain. I wondered if this is a localized version of childbirth. Jesus! I've had electrolysis & I couldn't feel anything, so this was brutal. Enter FARIDA. Most painful experience. I went to get my eyebrows done and I almost felt like it was done on purpose. I don't mean to come off as accusatory but the woman who had done my eyebrow threading was digging so hard into my skin with the thread. It was such an unbearable pain and as if she was out for blood. She did it in the slowest and hardest and deepest strokes she could. I've been getting my eyebrows done for over 15 years and I've never felt pain this severe. She put no effort into my eyebrows either other than the digging really hard into my skin. I've been to the perfect brows chain before in other locations but I am extremely disappointed in the service I received. I was searching for a place to do henna tattoos for my sister and I because we have an upcoming wedding this weekend. I searched through yelp and found this place that does henna tattoos. My sister called on Tuesday evening to book appointments for us to do the henna. The lady on the phone, Meema, was very helpful and informative in answering our questions over the phone. We booked the appointments for Thursday. On Thursday afternoon, Meema called my sister to confirm our appointments and to answer any questions my sister had, For a business to take initiative and call and confirm our appointments and answers questions was amazing. It made the experience more enjoyable. We arrived to Perfect Brows about twenty minutes earlier than the appointment time. They were very accommodating to us. One worker, Kay, did my sister's henna and Meema did mine henna. My sister got the white henna and I got the regular red henna. The whole process took about twenty minutes, which is not that bad, While Meema was doing my henna, she was explaining the process, the ingredients, after care and so forth about the henna tattoo. She did a free style design on my hand which came out beautiful. More than what I expected it to be! She took her time and did not rush my henna. Kay did my sisters henna and she did a wonderful job of doing the white henna. Mr. Sam, the manager, was very helpful and made the experience great. He was making sure that we were pleased with our designs. He even gave us a discount on the henna! Overall, I have to say I would recommend this place to my friends and family who are looking to do henna. The prices was amazing and the overall experience was amazing. She told me have a seat while she serviced someone else. I sat down I thought, let me read their yelp reviews. I'm so glad I came here. I saw many horror stories and I went into fight or flight mode. By far the worst threading experience I have ever had. I have been threading my brows and upper lip every two to three weeks for the past 5 years, and I think that my pain tolerance is pretty high. But this lady....oh man...she had a very very heavy hand (and maybe cheap thread is a factor too?). There was a moment where I was in so much pain I just wanted to cry. At one point she seriously pulled nose hair out of my nostrils. NOSE HAIR! How does that even happen? How did she get the thread in there? I'll never know. Had a very uncomfortable time in this establishment. This is the 2nd time out of 3 occasions. I wanted K to take care of me but she was busy with a client. I came in this institution for a few services done which included eyelashes. I allowed another woman second seat from the window to work on my lashes. Before i could even sit down i was badgered about trying "mink" lashes. After that, while getting my lashes done, the owner decides to blast Indian music so loud that i couldn't think. I and another woman were the only clients in there. All the while one of the other ladies ( younger girl with longer hair) who worked there was burning a hole through my head as she sits right next to me watching the process of my lashes. She really creeped me out and as i tried to lighten the mood and asked her what she thought of my lashes she just gave me a nasty look. At this point i wanted to get the hell out of dodge. The lashes were satisfactory, but i have had better applications elsewhere. I find that these new workers are very pompous and ill trained. This establishment was way better when they first opened up, now that cocky attitude has escalated because they are located in a good area for business and they feel that people will come anyway and spend their money. It's like she was gentle but still rough enough to give me scabs all along my brows from them being bruised and I had to come home and pluck my right eyebrow cause they were not evenly threaded and I asked her to fix it before I left which I though she did but it was still uneven. This is my FAVORITE place to get my lashes done! The ladies there are lovely. I always go to Emma. She is amazing. She is gracious, kind, professional, skillful and truthful. I am in the TV industry and whenever I have an on camera shoot, I go to Perfect Brows and get Emma to do my mink lashes. Last week I took my niece to get her lashes done with Emma. She got the long mink lashes and they looked fabulous. Emma has such precision and care AND she is fast. I have had the other lashes too. I prefer the mink. The lashes can last, about three to four weeks. Sometimes I get them removed sooner. I highly recommend this location of Perfect Brows at 14 Hillel place. read more
