Clean, well priced, and always have availability. They even helped me catch when I needed to change my tips to prevent infection!

They don't have massage chairs here but the cushions are super comfy! I had a 2 PM appointment and waited about 10 minutes or so to get sat but half the time I was picking my color out anyway. I believe Jenny was who took care of me. I just came back from a trip and treated myself to a Green Tea Pedicure + Manicure. Jenny went in on scrubbing my feet! I was in heaven During my manicure, they have fans where you sit to dry them as you're getting them done. I paid before getting my nails painted and was asked if I was part of the membership and said no, this is my first time. No membership was offered to me though and everyone looked overwhelmed while I was leaving so I didn't ask. I came here because I am looking for a closer nail salon then Park Slope so still interested in the membership. read more

I had a good experience at this nail salon. I walked in with no appointment on a Friday afternoon and was able to be seated right away. I had a dip removal, manicure, and gel application. The price was very reasonable. The salon was clean. My manicurist did a good job. I also got a chair massage that I highly recommend. read more

This is a sad review as it's a easy place to get to for me. They also have good availability but my experience yesterday will likely be my last at wellzen. I called at 5:45pm and got a 7pm appointment for my wife and me. We were seen on time and seated quickly, The towels for our feet were stained, there were flies and fruit flies we had to constantly shoo, and the nail techs for both of us cut too deep on our cuticles, chaffed our toe knuckles, broke skin when cutting our nails. They did fix a small nail polish issue for my wife and are generally pleasant people but the cost to quality and current pain my toe is feeling as a result of their rushed and imprecise skill has left me no choice but to leave this review and to not go here anymore. read more

Taking it down just a small notch. Wellzen still remains one of my favorite nail salons. The service is great in terms of quality, precision, friendly service and time taken to do pedicures. It's for the most part consistent but there is one technician I've noticed that rushes through the process, so I avoid her. My only complaint is my last couple of pedicures started to chip after maybe 5 days and my gel manis always last 10 days max. I've mentioned this to the front desk at least once and even asked if the polish is diluted with acetone. I ultimately just took a break because why dish out $28 on a pedi that won't make it til next week. Unfortunately, I'll have to scale down to less frequent visits, but return mostly for the service and process--nail care etc. But unless I bring my own polish (which I shouldn't have to at these prices) I'll have to maintain or polish change elsewhere. read more

Wellzen Lounge is a high quality spa in PLG. The manicure bar, literally a marble bar, is awesome. The room is cozy and comfortable. The pedicure room has big comfortable chairs, nice soaking tubs, and music videos playing. There was plenty of room for me to put my bag, and have my coffee. My tech Rosa was so nice, friendly, and did an awesome and thorough job. She made sure I was comfortable and pleased with each step. I like well zen. Its clean, everything is new, and the citrus water is delicious lol. The staff were all nice and I was pretty happy with my mani-pedi. Whole thing ran me $50 after tip + tax. I didn't get any polish but I was a little dismayed that they didnt have or didnt apply the nail strengthening serums that I usually get instead. Not a big deal but I noticed. Its also worth noting the foot and hand scrub was amazing! Like a mini massage and probably my favorite part. I usually opt for the $30 group-on mani pedi but I think Well Zen is worth the money and I will definitely be back. read more

Impeccably clean, very reasonably priced (even without a groupon). No acrylic stench in the air. My ONLY complaint was that the pedicure chairs aren't massage chairs. They're super comfy though. They did a great job on my gel mani and pedicure. There was a wide variety of regular and gel polishes, and the regular polishes didn't look all used up and crusty on the wall like they do some places. They also don't participate in the charade of making you pay tax in cash on the groupon either. (That seems to be a practice in New York, never had that problem in Connecticut.) Really impressed with this business's response to the pandemic. They have easy, thorough protocols in place to keep you and them safe. Be prepared to call from outside when you arrive and have your temperature taken using a digital forehead thermometer. You will also need to sign a waiver and use their sanitizer before being seated. This took only 2 minutes when I arrived for my appointment. Seats are spaced out so no one is directly next to you during your treatment. Shields are separating each customer from the next. Technicians wear gloves, masks, and face shields. Sara completed my first out of the house mani pedi since the start of quarantine. It felt great and looks super nice still a few days later. I was on the way home one evening and Welzen caught my attention. I checked it out and Yelp and made an appointment. I liked the vibes as soon as I walked in. They had a great variety of high end brands for your choice of color. There is a nice big coat closet to hang your belongings. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. I was a regular at the salon. I would go every 2 weeks to a month to get a mani, pedi or wax. I loved the technicians there, they did a fabulous job. Lately, I've noticed a change. The regulars aren't there anymore and they now have many new staff who don't seem well trained. Now they rush through the service, forget to do something or don't do a good job at all. So nice to see Wellzen open up for business! It is by appointment only in order to avoid walk ins and overcrowding in the salon. You must wait outside and call into the salon once you arrive. I've been here before with no issue. This week I had a manicure with Irma and it was horrible. I have four cuts on my nail beds from the aggressive filing and her not paying attention to the nail drill bit. I several times said ow or even flinched and pulled my hand away when she ran the nail drill bit over the whole top of finger. The girl next to me was even watching because of my comments. She should not be filing people's nails if she cannot control the file without hurting them. Wellzen should have her do something else. read more

It was terrible experience, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that want anything other than basic polish. I wouldn't recommend nail tech Bella she not even good at polishing. They will get flustered if you asks to do something over because it wasn't neat. If I am paying my money you should at least be able to listen and do it correctly. Last thing make sure that they are do exactly what u asks I asked for gel and I said more than once and they didn't even do it It's clean and cute place but they should definitely need to get better nail techs read more

Came in as a walk in. Was only about a 5 minute wait to get seated. Signed up for the citrus pedicure. My tech was a little too rough so I asked "a little more gently please" She continued on a bit more gentle. 2 minutes later went back to being rough so again I asked politely. Please more gentle. 10 minutes later as she is clipping away cuticles. I am being stabbed on my big toe. She had dug too far and I told her please stop. There is a cut now, you dug too deep. I don't know if she didn't understand but 30 seconds later she's going back into the womb with her tool. I'm like, stop. You created a cut. No apology She goes to sip my foot in the water and her coworker stopped her and had to inform her to disinfect the womb first ... For the first the paint job was poor. Ironic because two seats down another woman complained about her paint job and sounded like she was a repeat customer. Over all the place is clean but the work doesn't reflect. I've been coming here for over 2 years, I really like this salon. Beautiful atmosphere, very relaxing, clean and cozy. They also have a ton of polish colors to choose from. I would say that the only con might be the inconsistency between some of the nail techs, some don't do as thorough of a job as others -- truly depends who you get (but they have a lot of nail techs). I fell in love with this spot due to the atmosphere and the treatment. However , after visiting it last week Saturday I noticed a shift in the way I was treated. The lady Penpen I believe that was her name did a rush job and When I told her that the service normally come with a hand scrub she told me that who ever did my nails didn't know what they were doing. Mind you I visited the location and received the same service all the time and a hand scrub was included. A couple of seat down other was receiving the same service a gel manicures which they receive the hand scrub.She was very dismissive and rushed my service after I mentioned the hand scrub.I will not be spending any money there as they only cater to the Caucasian. I called in last minute for an appointment and they took me in! I got Gabby for a removal of old nails and replacement of my dip nails. I've bitten my nails for my whole life so I've been doing dip to bite the habit. Gabby was so precise and thorough, so sweet to speak with, and made my short stubby nails look incredible. She hand painted my French on so beautifully and stayed late without rushing to make sure she would do a good job. I would HIGHLY recommend.
