Located in Pike Place Market! Walking the area I decided to browse around and it smells amazing upon walking in . They specialize in loose leaf teas and individual packets. Tea accessories available. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Well lit and clear of clutter. You can purchase the loose leaf by the pound. Pricey.

There are lots of loose leaf tea options here! Located in post alley, it's a quaint little tea store. GLOWS: -Overall branding is very nice -Staff was very nice and explained everything well. -They have a measuring system for purchasing and give great directions on how to steep teas. GROWS: -There were not tea samples, so there was no incentive to try new flavors without feeling like you had to take a risk. I actually don't like the tea very much I ended up getting.

I should've expected this to be a tourist trap. As someone who has ventured into many tea shops throughout Washington, this one was underwhelming. If you appreciate tea it's a nice place to visit at least once, especially if you're in Pike Place Market, but it's not special. They do have a large selection of tea but I wasn't impressed by it. The majority of the menu is basic blends you can find anywhere else, with the exception of some expensive Chinese teas and a few unique blends. I've also never seen a tea shop that exists strictly for flavor, because that's not what tea is about. You don't have to claim that the tea has health benefits, but you can still explain what it is often used for. It's not even clear what the "flavors" are because no one explains it to you and the menu is not labeled with things like "sweet, earthy, minty, etc...". It simply lists ingredients. To me that's just lazy. The prices are reasonable, with a 2oz minimum purchase. I also didn't feel the full friendly hospitality as I think a tea shop should have. It is a buy-and-go kind of shop.

++++++ T E A S ++++++ They sell two different hot teas each day and they sell an immense variety of tea leaves from $3 an ounce to $200 an ounce, they have it all! They also have decaffeinated options too! [+] RASPBERRY BLACK TEA - $4 for 16 oz This was delicious and very high quality tea that they steep to order! ++++++ S E R V I C E ++++++ Alia who was on staff that day was super friendly! She really knows her teas! She answered all our questions and was very helpful! We also nerded out together about Becky Chambers novels! They were selling her book "A Psalm for the Wild Built" which is about a tea monk and a robot hahah. She was also really apologetic when she told us they didn't have any more lids for cups, which was sweet. ++++++ A M B I A N C E ++++++ This is a darling tea shop across the way from Post Alley and the Pink Door! I loved the aesthetic! Colorful tea pots and glass jars full of tea! There are also a ton of tea books and tea equipment! Adorable and very visually appealing! ++++++ O V E R A L L ++++++ This place is a little pricey but they know their stuff and also in a PRIMO location. Knowledge like that is worth a lot! Alia says that they hope to do tastings soon!! Next time I want to get their Earl Grey EXTRA tea leaves! It has extra bergamot oil! I definitely will be coming back to Perennial Tea when I'm in Seattle, hopefully by then they will have tea tastings again!

First, I have to give a huge shout out to Michaela! She is so incredibly informative, patient and kind. I guess I looked up because I was the only one in the shop so I was able to get her full attention. The variety that they have the offer is just amazing. She wonderfully explained all of the different aspects of each of the teas that I purchased. I brought them back to the East Coast and everything forward to enjoying them over the next few weeks. After you stop here go to Le Panier and make a perfect pairing of pastry and tea.

Really cool store off the main street of Pike's Place. The staff were really friendly and all the teas smelled amazing. Picked up a strawberry tea for my brother-in-law and a can of matcha. Would highly recommend if you're a tea lover or if you're looking for a gift for a tea lover!

Friendly staff and cute ambiance. Staff are well educated about different kinds of teas and brews. almond sugar cookie, mint and vanilla cream were our favorite blends. Bought a bunch of souvenirs of small tea bags for friends & family

This was a really sweet little treat to the end of my vacation in Seattle. I was looking for a tea shop and I knew I had seen one on Yelp that was near the pikes market place but I couldn't find it that day so this really nice man at the fruit stand said," hey I think it's right down that way". I finally found this cute little tea shop, and was so happy. Inside there were many teas in jars and lots of adorable little tea pots to brew them in. I decided to buy two bags I bought one bag of earl gray with extra Bergamont, which the lady said was delicious, and the other one was another Earl Grey, that had Bergamont and rosemary and something else in it, but it sounded delightful. I decided to take a business card as well and when I get home and I am low on the tea I'm going to continue to order from them because it's great to find a good shop like this that has really good tea. I have high hopes for this and I'm pretty sure I'm right. I also am going to buy a bag for my best friend since we both love to exchange different delicious teas and she is very good at buying the expensive ones and I am very good at buying the cheap ones so now I think it's time for me to change and up my taste. Let you know later if this was great or not but I have a feeling it'll be wonderful.

You really can't go wrong with any of the drinks but my all time favorites are the tieguanyin oolong milk tea with toppings and the strawberry milk tea, which I believe they have now rebranded to strawberry smoothie. Sugar is adjustable which is great because I love my drinks less sweet. I got the strawberry smoothie and bff milk tea this time, which I believe is black milk tea with egg pudding and grass jelly, and I added egg pudding. So delicious and creamy, and the smoothie does not give off an artificial fruit taste. One thing that was off-putting to me was the signage indicating their kiosk. The makeshift, handwritten message to turn around and use the kiosk seems passive aggressive and gives off the message that the workers do not want to talk to you. Other than that, we got our drinks pretty fast since it wasn't busy near closing, which was when I went.

There was a large selection of caffeine free herbal teas. The teas are all lined up on the counter allowing you to smell the sample jars. I decided on a cup of West Cape Chai and a slice of lemon cake (one of their many pastries). The chai is a nice and polite balance of sweet and spicy flavors. After ordering, I went to the lower level to find seating. It was upon entering this room that I was greeted by a sweet meow from a little cat. Her name is Miu Miu, and this is her house. She promptly followed me to my table and after testing me out, made herself comfortable in my lap. This series of events was so unexpected, yet so welcomed. As for the lower parlour itself - it also serves as a museum, giving history of this landmark. It has an authentic antique charm with comfortable furniture and decor that invites you in. This tea room doesn't try to be anything it's not, and that's what makes it so special. I lost track of the time I spent here enjoying my tea. The barista reminded me twice that I can get more hot water for my tea whenever I was ready, so I did, getting the most out of my loose leaf tea blend. There are only positive things to say. The bathroom was clean and spacious, the interior might surprise you in a good way, the prices were more than reasonable, and it's a place to find peace. As part of the Uwajimaya food court, it's easy to get in and get out or grab a drink for the road, plus there's validated parking. They also have sandwiches, soup, and donuts. I'd stick to just the drinks though. Plenty of other options in the food court. While I thought some drinks were good, I thought the overall experience was average. I ordered on at 5pm on a weekday and noticed the "Happy Hour Specials" so I decided to also snag a sandwich. Well, that advertisement was a lie. Their menu advertises 20% off for the combo of a sandwich and a drink while their digital screen shows 10% off with a soup (without the limited happy hour). In the end, I paid about $20 with tax and tip for a sandwich and a drink so they clearly did not honor the happy hour. It's not much at the end of the day, but false advertisement is a bad user experience. Overall, the service is very mediocre. Menu does not make it evident that sugar and ice levels can be adjusted and the employees cannot be bothered to ask. Same with any milk substitutions. Once you receive the drink, it's evident that sweetness can be adjusted at least, still unsure about the ice. Plus the experience with the combo showed apathy. Turkey Grilled Cheese Sandwich - I had ordered food before but saw the happy hour and went for a sandwich. My other food was ready quickly while this grilled cheese took close to 25 minutes. My drink was ready 10 minutes before so I was just left waiting. It's a solid sandwich with a strong amount of cheese but lacking in the protein. Not worth the price. Uhi Empress Milk Tea w/ Boba - first of all, boba is pretty solid. Flavorful with fair sugar coating and chewy, only lacking a bounce. Uhi is another purple yam like ube but originates from Hawaii. Flavor is very similar, so ube and taro enjoyers will appreciate this drink. Jardin Pink Milk Tea - as one of their signatures, I knew I had to try it. The flavor is a watered down lychee jelly and while lychee jelly as a topping tastes fine, this liquid form just tastes off. Not very sweet as a drink but also lacking flavor. More like water with mashed up lychee jelly without the texture. I would honestly never get this drink again, but the others were good. Banana Breeze Milk Tea - good old fashioned banana milk! If you've ever had the little cartons or banana milk tea from a spot like Boba Guys, this is very similar.
