Horrible. I made an appointment for tire rotation at 8am. Got there and was told his guys don't come in till 9. So I was expected to wait an hour and maybe get my service. I saw 4 guys plus him there. I always went here before they sold out to India. You can't call the store if you call their number it goes to India and can barely understand them. Brought my Suzuki in for a routine oil change and inspection - following my service there my car ran fine for a month. One day while driving home from work my Suzuki completely shut down on me without anything alerting me on the dashboard -fortunately I was close to home and not on a busy roadway as I had no control over my vehicle. The next day I brought my car back to this Pepboys as they were the last mechanics to work on my car. It was discovered that my engine blew up due to not having any oil in it. The mechanic told me that something wasn't tightened correctly and my car had been leaking oil for a month. Due to their gross negligence I have completely lost my engine and currently looking for a new one to replace within my vehicle. read more

First thing I want to address is the negative stigma that most pep boys shops are commonly known for: - Poor customer service satisfaction - Poor waiting times - Over-paying way too much for parts, tires, and labor At first from my previous experience at the pep boys in my local neighborhood in the east end of Pittsburgh, was atrocious until i stumbled upon this little pep boys shop in Bethel park, across the Marathon gas station, based on a old review i found on yelp. Turns out my intuition was correct and this pep boys store on 3625 Library road is by far the best auto-service satisfaction I've ever received, When you first walk-in, the service manager - Rick, was so accommodating and patient, despite by my poor attitude i have to sheepishly admit. His leadership among his team is what I imagine the founders of the original pep boys idealized.That awesome gentleman and along with his staff, went above and beyond indefinitely. They got me in and out pain free without overselling me like other service stores. I never would've thought i would say HEY WE ACTUALLY GOT A REAL PEP BOYS SERVICE LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!! WHY THE EFF CAN'T ALL THE OTHER LOCATIONS BE MORE LIKE THESE GUYS!!! With that being said, I will continue to have my vehicle serviced from these guys. The value and knowledge that these guys have provided can't go without saying; This is the best pep boys service I have ever received. THIS PLACE IS FRAUD !! SAVE URSELF!! I went for flat tyre check and they said that I need to buy a new tyre, so I did, 150$. Left my car there they said they will call once its ready. Three ours later I got a call that my Car's break pad are totally gone and its dangerous to drive with that, new will cost 400$. I had no option but to say, ok do it. I went to pick the car when it was ready. While picking up, there was ABS warning sign on the dash. I informed then about that immediately, they said its post 6PM we cant work on it now. Please come tomorrow, I went the next day at 5 PM, they said we cant check on it today please come prior to 5 PM tomorrow. I went again the next day at 3 PM. The guy on the reception told me it will take 120$ to check what is the problem I had to argue with him for 15 mins to explain it happen when your mechanic was working on it. They checked it and said its a bad news, its going to charge 400$ to fix it. When I said this problem was not there before and this is first time its happening when your mechanic work on the Car and they had replaced the breaks pads as well. He said ITS JUST A COINCIDENCE !!... WOW, I couldn't believe it. I was so frustrated and irritated by this time, what kind of professionalism is that ? they are seriously conning their customers. I have never seen such pathetic service and response. They suggested me to drive with this warning sign on as "ITS NOT A BIG DEAL". Two days before they were telling me its too dangerous to drive my car. I WILL STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

Too good to be true. Went online to schedule an appointment and I was totally pleased with the web experience. I later showed up at the shop on time and ready to go! I was greeted by a long wait and the service manager telling me the computer system was down. Things happen, so I understand. He then proceeded to tell me that they might be able to get my car in to their shop in a couple hours and they only had one mechanic today. WTF was the purpose of me filling out everything online and showing up on time. The computer finally came up and the clerk couldn't find my appointment. Then It turned out that I didn't have the right paper with me so they couldn't do the work anyways, my fault, but perhaps they could have told me what to bring to begin with. He suggested I call next time because the appointment system is bogus... what a sham! Why would I bother wasting my time with them "next time". read more

Get back in your car and drive far, far away in the opposite direction. I came in for an oil change and left with $700 worth of unrelated damage to my ride. Best case scenario they are grossly incompetent and don't know a Honda from their left butt cheek. Worst case scenario they deliberate sabotage things in order to elicit further business. Whether it's negligence or malfeasance, I've learned a valuable lesson- that convenience and "affordability" are not worth the risk you're taking going to one of these places. While a good mechanic is hard to find (after all, the word mechanic comes from the Greek for "trickery/craftiness"), one is worth searching out (and yes, I did take my car somewhere else for the repairs!) read more

I've had nothing but good experiences at this location. They always get me in on short notice. The staff is very professional and polite. My car has always been serviced to my satisfaction and in a timely fashion each visit. As a younger female, I'm always skeptical about auto guys trying to up sell me on things I don't need, but they've never tried that on me which is really nice. Pricing is fair and they have great promotions. I would recommend this location to anyone in the area! read more

They do good work but always act inconvenienced by the presence of all incoming customers. And they always talk to me as if I'm an idiot which I don't appreciate. I utilized their services several times due to the convenience factor of a walk-in establishment but after my latest trip, I'm going to be looking elsewhere for any future repairs. Asked for a tire patch and the associate who worked on my wheels was careless when remounting the tire. There's a scratch on the outer edge of the wheel that I PROVED to the manager with a photo taken before the work was done and they claim that it was my driving. Absolutely irresponsible about their own mistakes. The wheel will cost around $160 to repair and I have to get an estimate from a body shop to go through their claims process because the manager refuses to accept responsibility. Never go to this place if you care about your car and always take photographic evidence when dropping your car off for ANY kind of repair. read more

I have always come to this Pep Boys location and have always received exceptional service, but unfortunately this time, that was not the case. I took my Volkswagon Rabbit in last weekend to get my oil changed and had asked them to top off my windshield wiper fluid, coolant, and put air in my tires. My oil was changed but nothing else was done. I figured no big deal because I was taking the car in this weekend to be inspected. I brought my car in this morning and spoke with Austin at the front desk and asked again to have the wind shield wiper fluid filled, the coolant checked, and have air put in my tires. A gentleman who was also standing at the front desk (I did not get his name) said it would be no problem and would be done with no extra charge. I picked up my car and discovered that again, they failed to put wind shield wiper fluid in, the did not check my coolant, and did not put air in my tires. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this Pep Boys location. read more

I took my truck here because it was leaking fluids. Sara called my with an estimate of 3,500-$5,000. Stating that it needed a water pump, head gaskets and thermostat. Sara then told me it would be 2-3 weeks before it would be done. I told them put it back together, I'll be down to get it. I took it to Wolts and Wind Ford for a second opinion. By taking it to Ford I saved $2,557. My friends are right Pep Boys, Fire Stone and other garages are just out to rip you off! Pep boys will never service my truck again. read more

Never take your vehicle to them for anything. Straight up liars and scammers. I recieved a call from my mother and aunt asking if on an all wheel drive vehicle you have to buy 4 new tires when 1 goes flat. What! Now i can understand if she had 4 bald 3yr old tires, but these are practically new. My aunt refused and said just the one please. These scumbags actually refused her request claiming its a liability. All this because off a nail in the tire these expert mechanics claim could not be repaired. She had them put the spare tire and she went to Guys Automotive. They took one look at the nail and said piece of cake we can patch that up. Over and done with in 30 min. Please someone investigate Pep Boys, they need to get busted on one of those hidden camera shows. Shame on all of you at pep boys. read more

Worst experience ever! I selected 2 tires online and made appointment. I arrived and they don't have the tires but can have them delivered by 12(3 hours after my appointment.) from store down the street. I can't wait that long but they said I could just go down there for my install. Whatever. I show up at second store they don't have them. BUT they have comparable ones at over twice the price. This is the worst case of bait and switch ever. I called customer service and they tell me same thing. Stay away from any Pep Boys location!!!!! read more
