My tires had been consistently losing air after a couple weeks, and I brought it into Goodyear to check it out, as one of the tires I bought from them. After sitting around waiting for 90 min, I started to ask what was going on. The manager asked a mechanic in a stern tone if I was being attended to. Within minutes I was told it was corrosion, and they cleaned it, and there was no charge. The problem never went away, with me refilling my tires every two weeks. I came here after AAMCO failed to program my new TPMS sensors, saying that that 2 of them were faulty. Oh, and AAMCO was charging $20/sensor to reprogram. Wanting a second opinion and attempt at the sensors, I called up Goodyear, talked with Mangi, who was very friendly and said he'd be happy to give it a try. When I got there, he brought out the reader/programmer device to the parking lot, managed to read all 4 just fine, and programmed them with the ODB2 port in less than like 5 minutes - free of charge! I was so happy with the service and that they took care of me, despite not even being their paying customer, and told him I'll be going there in the future! read more

On the one day a week I drove my car into work, I decided to hit a nail. I have a place I usually take my car but apparently they were swamped and I didn't want to wait. I called them to see if I should make an appointment and they were like "just come on in!" I dropped my car off, walked to get some Bird on the Run, came back and had a little bit of a wait. Probably overall it was an hour but they patched me up and charged me $0. I was really happy with everything and this was all during a pandemic. Very easy place to get my tires replaced. I pulled in, they took a few pieces of information and I just had to wait. While I was to wait I made sure it was OK for me to walk to nearby businesses to pick up a few items I needed. They took my phone number and told me they would call when my car was finished. While I was out at nearby stores my phone rang less than a hour later and was told I could come and pick up my car. Walked in, paid and away I went. Why couldn't I give this place a five star rating. Two reasons. 1. I ordered my tires and was expecting to receive a call on a Friday to stop in and have the tires put on my car, they did not call me at all and I called the following Monday to find out my tires were there for the past few days and no one made the effort to call me. 2. When I left, I could not comprehend why the air pressure wasn't regulated to my new tires. How hard was it to make sure that my psi was set to 32? One tire was at 38 and the other at 35. I promptly needed to visit a gas station to remedy the situation. read more

Used this place a lot , bought many tires and lots of big ticket repairs. Had a 6 month old tire that needed fixed under road hazard. Took Tim with tire off cat and drove it with ty my other car to shop. They wouldn't replace it till I had the original car there even though I had proof of purchase. Had to drive an extra 60 miles round trip to literally drive car with spare into the shop son Ty why would replace tire. Horrible manager interaction. Will be last time I deal with them. I had the most positive experience at Goodyear Auto Service. One of my tires blew out on my car and needed a replacement. I worked with Mangu (forgive me I'm sure I spelled your name wrong) the store manager and he was so helpful, patient, and was willing to accept my third party warranty insurance. I went to three other mechanics before I stopped here and no one would accept Easy Care but they were willing to help me. A $200 new tire ended up only costing me $12 (I had to pay the tax) out of pocket since they accepted my additional insurance policy. They not only saved me money but provided the best customer service. I would go back in heartbeat simply based off the fact that the mechanics were so kind and they serviced my car in a timely manner. I highly recommend this place! read more

Do NOT do state inspection here, unless you want to pay $40-50 extra. Here is my experience: everything looked fine at the beginning and before I left the car, the front-desk man doubled check my phone number and said "we'll call you if we find any problem." What problem can you find in a 4-yr car with only 20k miles? I left without much concern as I thought it meant "We'll call you when it's ready." Looking back, this was the sign that things would go wrong and I just didn't take it seriously. In about 20 mins, I RECEIVED their call that they indeed found a problem (!!!) and I will need to pay $40 to fix it. Otherwise, they will fail my inspection. In fact, I'd like to pay whatever it costs to fix the problem threatening the safety of my car. But as soon as I was told the problem, I knew I was in the wrong hands today. The problem is the window wiper blades, and they said they were WORN. Window wiper blades, seriously? I was expecting a real problem to be ripped off!!! Is this what you made up for a 20k-mile car? It is not even a problem in a 200k-mile car! But I knew I was trapped today, and they were strategic about how much they want to rip you off - just around $ 40-50 - and they knew most people would rather pay it than wasting another day to get re-inspected. To tell you this is not a coincidence: another Asian dude got ripped off ($50) here as well and posted a review a few days before me. So, especially if you are an Asian dude, stay away from this place. Thank you Goodyear, you just made a BadDay for me. read more

Great work and excellent customer service. With our extended training in DC, we've been out of town a lot and so only had July 4th weekend to do the emissions test and state inspection on our car. I called for an appointment, dropped the car off by 9am Saturday (July 4th) and it was ready by noon! Thanks to Kayla, Craig and the entire team at Good Year for fitting us in. I experienced three main issues with this Goodyear location while purchasing/installing a new set of tires: -They did not have my name or appointment in their system when I showed up. Fortunately, they still honored my appointment. -They did not install tires correctly. Left for a business trip the following day, and once I got on the highway and my speed passed 65 mph, the car began to rattle (with my new "comfort tread" tires). Booked an appointment, and they fixed the issue. -Two months later, I went to my Toyota dealership for routine maintenace. The dealer mechanic found that the lugnuts on the tires had been over torqued by Goodyear. So the Toyota mechanic had to saw them off of each tire and replace them with non-security locked nuts. (If I had a flat on the side of the road, I would have been SOL). All of these issues were entirely preventable. The lack of expertise and techincal skill at this Goodyear location is abysmal. Oil change. Car required conventional 0w-20 according to manual. I had a coupon for an oil change for $19.90. They don't carry that type of oil and I was up sold to a syn blend for $34.90. Ok. Then bill came to $50 with added services, eg. Fluid check With an objection the bill was reduced to $40. Interestingly the washer fluid was low. Guess they checked it. "Yep it is low." read more

I was just there this morning for a 10am appointment to get my summer tires swapped out for my winter tires. My regular mechanic was overbooked and there is snow coming on Monday. Receptionist scheduled me in just fine and the quoted price was reasonable, so I said OK. Upon arrival, store manager stated that they will not touch the car as it has aftermarket rims and lug nuts. He did not state any restrictions about aftermarket parts as they could not guarantee the work. I asked if this was the case for all rims and he became a little snotty. I had heart surgery a while back and I can't do the jack and tire work as not to tear at my incision/breastplate, if this was not the case with my health, I'd certainly take care of it. Aftermarket rims are common - should not be an issue. Last time I ever set foot in that place. read more

They are fairly priced and over the years I have found they do only what is necessary. Very good to have them in the neighborhood and the front desk personnel (Kayleh, not sure of spelling) is very easy to communicate with. The manager here always tries to find a way to not have to replace tires on warranty. Either a road hazard is not enough to justify a replacement, or they can't find the record, or "Are you sure you got this here?" Over it. Love the warranty, but I would suggest calling ahead and going elsewhere in the city. read more

I went in for new tires and a routine oil change. When I called about my car's status after many hours, I was told that the machine they use to pump the oil malfunctioned and motor oil got all over my car's engine! They said it shouldn't be a problem since they cleaned the engine bay, but when they brought my car out, my check engine light was on. They went to clear the light, but it came back on again. I was told to bring my car in the next day and they will look into the problem. On my way home, my engine started smoking profusely. Since my check engine light was on, I stopped at a local garage to get it checked out. They looked at my engine for me and told me that Goodyear must have spilled a TON of motor oil on my engine which caused it to smoke like crazy. The mechanic also pulled up the check engine light code (Goodyear did not tell me when I asked them about the code when I picked up my car), which said that my oxygen sensor was malfunctioning. The oxygen sensor in my car is connected right to the exhaust manifold and it was clear from visual inspection that oil has gotten all over it. I went back to Goodyear the next day, they took my car in and I waited for over an hour in their lounge. No one came out to tell me what they were doing to fix my car or if they were taking responsibility for the faulty sensor. I finally had to asked the desk clerk, who told me that they were going to replace the sensor and I should come back later. Goodyear did replace the oxygen sensor free of charge. They never apologized for the oil spill; no one talked me through what they were doing during the repair. I will not be returning in the future. read more

This place is horrid! My car was rattling so i took it in to get the alignment fixed. Afterwards, it still rattled. I took it back, left it there for a weekend while i was out of town, and when i went to pick it up on Sunday, the mechanics had left for the day and left my car in pieces and didn't bother to call and tell me i needed a new part. So I was SOL for a car for work the next day. They install this new part. Still rattles. I bring it back again (please keep in mind that the ONLY reason i kept bringing it back is that there was a young attractive man working the counter who insisted that it was their fault for not properly fixing it and each time i brought it back they did not charge me). So after the third time, still rattles. Finally, i take it one last time and talk with the Manager. The manager takes one look at my car and says that since i was riding around with bad alignment for so long, my tires are bald in weird spots and THAT is why it is rattling. So now i need 4 new FULL PRICE tires. And the manager was very short and cross with me. It's now a month later, my inspection stickers are up, i've taken my poor honda back to the dealer and he tells me that my tires are misaligned. THIS IS AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT FOCUSES ON TIRES! I have been going to goodyear for years and the service has been great but the one on route 8 had closed down so i had to go to east liberty because it was the closest to me. I needed a new tire and also wanted to get a oil change. I had called around 4 pm to see if it was okay to bring my car instead of just walking in. The gentleman told me if i wasn't there at 430 at the latest they wouldn't do it because an oil change takes an hour and a half? which it doesn't. So i get there and they had no customers what so ever the guys were hanging out watching TV doing nothing. So i said if you just want to put the tire on that's fine if you guys are trying to get out of here(they close at 6) ill just go somewhere else and he just says okay! as I'm waiting the kid at the front desk(Jay?) is on the phone with a personal convo about meeting up after work and weekend plans. so unprofessional. another mechanic is sitting there watching judge judy. After 20 mins my car is done and i pay the kid gives me his card and a coupon and says heres for the oil change when you come in next. Never again am i going there you guys need to hire people who want to work. Hope the next goodyear i go to is just as great as route 8! its ashame they had to close down read more
