Service Requested ( Tire Change ) at Ocoee Location Let me start by saying that this place is HORRIBLE. ZERO Customer Service, and Technician Jesus was rude and have more attitude than any politician in DC. Schedule took 3 days ( tire was purchased from Ebay and unfortunately delivered there ) without anyone contacting me to do the installation. Tech Jesus applied "so much torque " to my lugs that I took me a while to release them and check that they were not damages to the vehicle, not counting that he applied 49 PSI to a run flat tire that's only needs 40 PSI, Tire installation took 55 minutes :( :( :( Please don't wast your valuable time and find a Good, Professional and Reputable Shop, with people that wants to work and take care of their clients. read more

They said about 2 hours for new tires mounted and balanced and then an alignment. Right on the 2 hour mark I was handed my keys. The value of what it cost me wast much lower than expected for the service which I received. Over the last 3 to 4 years, I truly have more horror stories about places to not get cars repaired than I care to count. I left my car with the manager named Luis, super nice. Told him everything I need done, new tire, alignment, and to check a TPMS sensor because it wasn't reading, he said no problem. I left to run errands with my wife, they called me back saying they were done. I called the store after they sent the report to ask why the TPMS sensor was still a problem when Luis said they'd take care of it. Roman answered, and was rude the entire time saying that the TPMS sensor was not their problem because they didn't do anything to it. He kept saying to take it to the other Pep Boys that "broke" it since this Pep Boys was not responsible for it. Then when I asked about the alignment, he said they have not done it. So we had to then sit and wait for that to be completed. read more

Brought the car in on New Years Day 2025 at 10:00 a.m. I thought I made an appointment but apparently I had mistakenly called the other location in town. Harry, the manager, said not to worry, that he could fit us in. For being a holiday, I was surprised by how busy the place was. People coming in one after the other. Telephones ringing and quickly being answered by Harry, the only representative at the front desk. As I sat there waiting, I quickly became amazed at the manner in which Harry conducted himself. He was so efficient, polite, and professional to every client at the store and on the telephone. Now, these clients were masters at trying to be serviced first. Each had a story why their job was so special that it needed to jump the line. The word "pushy" comes to mind. Amazingly, however, Harry never showed one second of being flustered or impatient with these people. I have to admit that I couldn't have controlled myself nearly as well as he did. As we paid the bill, I couldn't help but mention my observations to Harry who thanked me, but also gave credit to his hardworking mechanics like Whitney, who had done our job. Harry said that these guys all have his back and being able to depend on them allows him to do his job better. Talk about a dream manager! Thanks, Harry. read more

Do not come here. I had an 11 am APPOINTMENT for an oil change and tire rotation and dropped it off at 10:50. Got everything taken care of and I said how long will it be? Website says 30 minutes wait time. Kid says well we have 4- 11 am appointments... Not my problem. If you have 4, than you should have 4 people at least to work on them. I came back at 12:20. I said are we all set? Kid says "It hasn't even moved". I told him to give me my key. He gets it and says, "Yeah, sorry bout that". I will never use Pep Boys again. Arrived to the appointment ahead of schedule and was told lots of mechanics called out sick today so not sure how long it will take. My husband took as day off from work so we could leave the car there. Heard NOTHING all day so called at 430 to check the status. I was told oh sorry, man we never even looked at the car. Took my car here for a 2nd alignment in a week because the first one didn't do it properly. I was running about 20 minutes late and they did help squeeze me in which I can say I did appreciate, but once I got in they said they could only do the one year $99 alignment. I paid for the 3 year back in January when I had my other tires put on. I guess they "overlooked" that and tried to get me to pay $100. So they do the alignment...kinda-ish because I'm in the process of getting another appointment made to get another one. They then tell me my car would drive straighter if I get my whole front suspension done and what not. $1660 quote they gave me. If my car was that bad and that out of line why didn't the first pep boys notice anything the week prior. Seems like a fishy scam to me. Told them no I'm fine. How do you bring back a flat tire the next day terrible service. Took my car in because my breaks started squeaking . This was all I needed at the beginning of a holiday weekend. This shop was the closest location to my work and since I live in Tampa, i wanted to get them repaired immediately to avoid damaging my rotors. I read the reviews first but took a chance anyway. Had a friend take a glance at my breaks and he advised the rotors are not ground down and all i will need are the pads changed. Arrived for my appointment and the vibe was already off. They checked my breaks and returned with a quote of almost $1400. I was told i needed all 4 rotors changed because they were below manufacture standards.With no question, i asked for my car back. The guy, who i believe is one of the mechanics seemed to get an attitude with me and directed the cashier to add to my account the car is released not drivable. Three days later, after purchasing the parts myself, the pads were replaced for $300 and that was after tipping my friend $150. I had a Fuel Pump problem. Jose told me the repairs would Cost $2,000.00. It took them 5 days to get the part. when I was called to tell me the part arrived, and the repairs would be completed. but Jose told me I needed to address other issues for my car that would cost me another $2,500.00. I remember I had my truck for an oil change and Jose told me I had other issues on my truck and the total cost would be over $4,500.00. Note: this a 2003 Ford F150 worth $2,500.00. Like other reviewers have said, stay away from this Pep Boys location. I had an emergency stop here because my A/C wasn't blowing cold air. I quickly looked up a place that was close to my location to service the problem. I wasn't familiar with the area because we're from out of town. After 2 1/2 hours waiting for a mechanic to work on the problem I was told by the head mechanic at this shop that I needed a new evaporator and condenser, a $1900 job. Of course I declined and headed back to the hotel with my family in tow. The next day I took my car to Riker's Auto Mechanic in Orlando and they found all I needed was to recharge the system, a fix that only cost me $90 with them. I had an appointment for an oil change. They got me in only a few minutes late . I had a problem with what type of oil they would use, because of incorrect information in their computer system about what was allowed, which differed from what my manual says. Thankfully, the manager, CJ, made an offer which resolved the issue to my extreme satisfaction. The job took a little longer than normal but the tech was very nice and apologized for the delay One good thing about being there a little longer was that I could hear the staff deal with other customers and it was clear that they gave advice that was fair, instead of trying to do a hard sell on repairs and services. If this review was just for the people there and the service actually performed, I'd give it 5 stars. But I am giving it 4 stars.because of the problem with their computer system that controls what they are allowed to do, I've emailed the corporate folks and I hope that they fix their system, as I'd like to continue doing business with these folks. read more

I have to admit that I only go to Pepboys for emergencies but most of the time they get the job done, but usually tell me a list of things that I also "need to do". Yesterday, I decided to stop in for my tires, since I felt like my front tires were going to blow out on me.. Not to mention how bad the car was shaking. In minutes of getting there I was greeted by Hector, who told me that I needed new tires because the treading had completely been worn out and that there was a visible bubble. He even showed me, and it was pretty bad. Being on a tight budget I really couldn't afford to get everything I needed but Hector and Curt really went the extra mile to find me tires that I could afford & also, to get me the alignment that I needed, all while staying within my budget. Nothing more, nothing less. Just what I needed and that was it. Jose was the one who worked on my car, and got it done in about an hour, after going to pick it up from another store. It rides so much better and I am so glad I stopped in when I did. Huge thanks to all of you for awesome service!! Best service I've received from any Pepboys that I've been to. I brought my truck in because my a/c stopped working. I was told that my compressor was bad. They quoted me $1,600 for the repair. I declined and went home and did a little research. I am no mechanic, but after 5 minutes online, I changed out the compressor clutch relay (basically a fuse), and my a/c was blowing cold again. The part cost me $6.99 at Advance Auto Parts. In my opinion, that's the first thing the mechanic should have checked for when he began to troubleshoot. They would have had a loyal customer. Now, I will never go back. read more

This place is the biggest rip off you can ever get from a auto repair shop. I took my car in to get my radiator and thermostat replaced which cost me about $700. I was ok with that but a month later my radiator started to overheat again. So I took the radiator cap off and it broke off. The gave me a piece of shit cap which caused the anti-freeze to leak out. They wanted to charge me for another cap and told me that my coolant sensor needed to be replaced and that wasn't the case. When I asked them how much it would cost...they said $234. I asked why so much and they said it was $55 for the sensor, $128 for labor, and another 50 something dollars for shop fee. They were trying to rip me off and it seemed like they never even did anything to my car except put the new radiator cap on. You would think for the inconvenience they caused me, they would at least put some anti-freeze in the reservoir tank, but they didn't. I went ahead and bought a sensor for $27 and installed it myself because it takes on less the 5 min to replace. You have to be careful when you go to these auto places because they will lie to you and say you need additional parts when you really don't. I dont think i need a sensor because it was the cap that needed to be replaced with a better one. They game me some cheap piece of shit cap. DONT TRUST THESE GUYS!! read more

This is the new location for the Pep Boys that was about 1.5 miles east of here. It seems to have new management since I did not recognize any of the people working there. This location is much bigger and has many more bays for them to work in. I came in for a oil change and tire rotation which took about an hour to complete. The manager and staff were friendly and it was a good experience with them. They did tell me of other problems with my car but I don't have the cash right now to fix it all. I have taken both of my cars to Pep Boys over the years and this new location lives up to my past experiences. read more

This place is really awesome! Great place to get your vehicle fixed. I generally do as much of my own mechanic work as I can but when it came to the air conditioning in my Tahoe going out I had to get a professional. I went there and got a quote. I talked to a few people that are in the know of this type of work and they said it was a fair price. I told them I needed my truck back pretty fast and after dropping off my Tahoe when they opened, it was ready by lunchtime. That has been around 6 months ago and I promised them I would give a good review if my ac work was done to my satisfaction. It was and I purposefully waited awhile before reviewing my interaction with them. It still works flawlessly! Great job to the service personal and mechanics at this Pep Boys. First and foremost, a giant money grab to get any extra cash that they can. Brought my car in for a diagnostic, which they initially charge $100 or more for, depending upon what they say the problem is. Take it to the nearest Auto Zone and get the code for free, and look it up on the internet. As far as money goes, they do offer a price matching system, so compare around first and bring your vehicle here as an absolute last resort. Also, make sure to avoid the tire rotation or anything major as they will just so happen to need to "replace" the wheel stud as every other person that walked out of there unfortunately realized. Another gentleman came in to get an oil change, and notified the manager that he caught them having overfilled the oil, and if he hadn't had caught it he would have been out an engine. Needless to say after sitting in the shop for nearly 8 Hours waiting for parts and labour combined, I will not be returning. Nice guys, horrible scam. read more

I received email confirmation of my order, appointment and location. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment time (at the converted Just Brakes store) tires hadn't been delivered, and I was told they didn't have the equipment to do an alignment at that location. They would call me when the tires arrived probably a day or two just come back then. What a waste of time!! I showed the mgr. my email confirmation and he said it happens a lot. They said "you don't need an appt just come on in!" So I loaded up my infant daughter and went.. Get there and of course the extremely unpleasant man at the front desk named CURT told me rather rudely that it would be a few hours. I said, "but I JUST called and they said to come in".. curt says "I'm the only one who answers the phone and I didn't tell you that".. I've been using this location to service three cars for the last 2 years. I will not be back. By coincidence, had two cars get new tires within same week. First car went in for tires, they told us we needed brakes. I was hesitant, but went ahead anyway with the brakes. Second car had nail in tire. Was not on the side, so should have been reparable. They said it was too close to the side to repair. It really wasn't close to the side, but like a fool, I listened to them. The tires only had 15,000 miles on them. To top it off, halfway into putting 4 tires on, they told me I needed new brakes, just like the other car. It was at this point I realized I was being ripped off. The brakes are also pretty new.
