Andrew came out to give us advice on a home generator and provided 3 separate quotes (for a whole house generator, for a transfer switch where we can select what circuits we want to power, and for wiring in a "pig tail" so we could connect a portable generator). I discovered why this business had an electrician who could come and check my generator, which wasn't working and an outage in my area was expected. I was told that someone could come in 2 days because he would already be in my area. None of the other electrical companies even called me back. The electrician found my problem in 10 minutes. I just received a bill for $250.00 for 10 minutes of work. My assumption that I would be fairly billed was my error since it never occurred to me that I would be overcharged. The cheapest rate at Pennisula Electric Co. is for 1 hour, which is so outrageous that I should have been informed at the time (but that was my error.) We called them out when our electric car charger outlet wasn't working. We had tried to reset the breaker, but apparently hadn't pulled it far enough over because when they came out to take look, they pulled the breaker further over and it fixed the problem. They didn't charge us anything and we really appreciated that. read more

Andrew and Josh arrived on time to repair my Generac home standby generator. They quickly diagnosed the problem (a bad part installed by another Generac Authorized Service Provider) and replaced it with a new part. Peninsula Electric was great to work with. I was building a house in Bremerton and needed help with the installation of a temporary power pole with GFCI outlets and breaker box in order to begin construction. I had called multiple electric companies in the area, and most of them would not answer the phone, had a full voicemail or no voicemail at all, would not return your call, was way too expensive, or said it was too small of a job and it would be a month or more to get out to my site. Building a house is stressful and frustrating enough, but is even more frustrating when companies don't have time for you and you need something done to move on to the next step. If a particular company was swamped, I would have appreciated a simple phone call back saying they are extremely busy and can't take the work. I would respect that. But completely ignoring a potential customer is unprofessional. Let me say that Peninsula Electric was the complete opposite. They were responsive every time I called. They communicated very well. Their pricing was reasonable. They came out and performed the work on the day and the time slot we agreed to. This is extremely important when coordinating multiple things, and are dependent on the previous task being completed. Couldn't have asked for better service. Now that the house construction is complete, I will definitely be using Peninsula Electric for additional electrical work in the yard, deck, and Sheds. Highly recommend! read more

This company was incredibly slow to respond both over the phone and over email. They gave us the runaround for over 3 weeks, only to tell us that they were short staffed and could not complete a job they had been hired to do. They were also very rude and irritable over the phone. We have reason to believe they provided a false, low quote on purpose, so this is a word of warning to anyone considering using their services (if they even ever call you back). Full story: WEEK ONE: We bought a house with a stipulation that the knob and tube wiring be replaced. The sellers agreed to it, but about a week before closing, said that their electrician was too busy to complete the job before closing, so we would have to schedule an appointment with them after the closing date. We called them to schedule an appointment as soon as we received the quote they gave the seller, and they said that Charlie gave the quote, but was on vacation. He would be back the next week, so we could schedule an appointment then. WEEK TWO: Well, when we called on Monday the next week, they said he had returned and would call us back after catching up on his work. A week went by, and we never received a call, and we moved into the house. WEEK THREE: The Monday after we moved in, we called, and they said Charlie was catching up on work still, but would call us back. We never got a phone call that day, so we called again on Tuesday. Again, they said he was playing catch-up, so we could expect a call later that day. Again, no call. On Wednesday, we called, and the phone went to voicemail, so we left our name, number, invoice number, and waited... no call. We called again on Thursday... and Friday... and nobody picked up the phone. We finally sent an email Sunday night, stating we had tried to reach them by phone, but maybe email would be better. An auto-reply was sent, stating Wendy was out, and Charlie would respond, so we sent an email to him. WEEK FOUR: Well, we got a response from Wendy the next Monday at 4:30 stating that the employee living on this side of the water had left, so they could not finish the job. 1. If you can't do a job, just tell us so we can find someone who can do it! This company very unprofessionally wasted our time by continuously leading us on. 2. I don't understand how the person who performed the initial part of the job, gave the quote, and was obviously still working there, is all of a sudden unable to perform the remainder of the job? 3. To be honest, we feel that the sellers possibly knew these people and had a fake, low quote given so that we would fall for it and they wouldn't have to pay/credit us as much as it should have been. If this is the case, it shows how shady this business is, and any other homebuyers out there should be extremely wary if you are given a quote from this company by the sellers. read more

When several outlets and lights in our home went out and we couldn't figure out the cause (no, it wasn't a GFI outlet issue), Peninsula quickly sent out an electrician who traced it to a problem in the breaker panel. She quickly fixed the issue and saved our weekend plans. read more

Unsafe drivers and the company doesn't even care. Was run off the road by one of their trucks after he ran a stop sign. Called to report it to them and they hung up in response. Not sure why you would even bother branding and numbering your trucks if this is how you handle things. read more

Marty and Peninsula Electric were phenomenal to work with. Marty's expertise and knowledge were incredible. He took the time to explain everything and took the utmost care to protect all his surroundings with drop cloths. There was nothing to clean when he left. We could not be happier with the canned LED lights and switches he installed along with his installation of our pump house outlet. I would have no reservations in hiring Peninsula Electric in the future and intend on them performing more work for us. Great Customer Service, we had problems with another electrical contractor and were referred to Peninsula Electric. We had them come in and wire our house. Not only did they do a great job, kept on schedule but they had great recommendations for us for the wiring of the house. Used this contractor to wire our new shop. First of all they did all the drawings for the electrical on our plan and went over items that we should add while the initial wiring was going on to save us money later on. I was so glad I didn't go with the cheapest bid because I think it would have cost us way more money in the long run. They did an excellent job and there scheduling was very accommodating. We even had an outlet that stopped working and they were out that SAME DAY to check it out and replaced it because it was defective. Great company, Great Service. read more
