My dishwasher wasn't draining. Jeff came the next business day. I thought the drain pump had quit working but it only took Jeff a minute to determine that wasn't the case. He found and fixed the blockage within minutes and showed me a couple of things I didn't know. He charged a reasonable minimum service call fee which I was glad to pay. I called and told them my dishwasher was not working, I had tried re-plugging it in, checked circuit breaker, and he helped me to diagnose over the phone. He suggested I plug in my vacuum in the same outlet, and when the vacuum worked, I re-plugged in the dishwasher, and it came back on! He identified a common problem with dishwasher outlets, and if it happens again, what I should do. I definitely will contact him again for any appliance repairs I ever encounter. read more

I live on Bainbridge Island and it is really hard to find appliance repair services, so when I had a problem with my dishwasher, I called around and I found Jeff at Appliance Experts. True to the other reviews, Jeff really tried to help diagnose the problem over the phone and walk me through the repair myself! It was a like a personal youtube video. When we weren't able to get it done over the phone, he came over and fixed the problem. He's also done a great job for my fridge when it froze over. I called Jeff (based on other Yelp reviews) because my dryer was consistently tripping a circuit breaker after about 10 minutes. Jeff offered me some great and non-intuitive self-help advice (replace the breaker) at no charge. It turns out that he was absolutely correct. A new circuit breaker cost me about $18 and I was able to change it myself. Much cheaper than an appliance repair visit to my house. Thank you, Jeff! NOTE: This review is based upon a phone call only. So I had this issue with my top loading washing machine: basically the darn thing made this obnoxious grinding sound when I tried to run a load and would do nothing more than this. I tried troubleshooting the issue with a bit of internet research and discovered that the machine had a diagnostics feature which could help me figure out the nature of the problem. Trouble was I couldn't get that working either, the machine never made it past the "sensing" operation. Exasperated I decided I'd have to get an expert to come have a look at it. However after contacting the Appliance Experts they asked a few initial questions and quickly diagnosed the issue for me over the phone (they said something was caught in the pump). I wasn't expecting this. I figured at a minimum I would need to pay them to come out do a home visit. However they told me that the issue was a rather simple fix and there wasn't really a need for them to come out. Turns out they were spot on (a sock was caught in the pump). I managed to tackle the issue myself without to much hassle. For being both up front with me and extremely helpful I give this company full marks. Next time I have an appliance issue I'm coming to these guys. read more

We experienced a problem with our washing machine. After calling around to several companies and being told that we would have to wait up to 3 weeks to get an appointment, we called Appliance Experts. They lived up to their name. We explained the problem to them. We were asked to go to the machine, press 2 buttons and tell the reading. We then sent a photo of the inside of the door. We were told that if the part was in stock, we could have an appointment in 2 days to complete the repair if not, we would have to wait 4 days. The part was in stock. Jeff the owner came out 2 days later (on Saturday, 6:00 P.M.) and repaired our washer. The repair was done quickly, professionally and at the price we were quoted when we scheduled the appointment.
