Pure Joy

Pelham Pizzaria I first stepped into Pelham Pizzeria as a teenager in 1978--and this July 2025, I brought my wife and daughter to share the same magic. I'm thrilled to say, nothing's changed. The pizza is still the best I've ever had, and the feeling? Pure nostalgia. Pino, now running the pizzeria like his father once did, made us feel so welcome. With one bite, I was transported back to being 17 again. Thank you to the entire team for making us feel at home--both in Pelham and back in Chicago. We'll always carry a slice of this place in our hearts. --Robert Zaffino

Pizza is sooo good at Pelham Pizza. I think the last time I was here, they didn't even take credit cards. Delicious airy, crunch crust - perfect sauce. And I wouldn't have ordered sausage pie, but that's what my nephew wanted - and it was fantastic! Sausage crumbles were quality. We will order from here every chance we get.

I would never order pizza from this place again. The pizza was cold on arrival, all of the toppings were falling off, the pizza had no cheese, and had a terrible aftertaste. Definitely a waste of money!

Buffalo Chicken Pizza

As a Bronx native, pizza has always been a family go to for a quick dinner on a busy weeknight. Stumbled across this gem and was not disappointed. We opted to get assorted slices and sample a few- we were hungry! The buffalo chicken slice was delicious, perfectly spiced and fresh. The plain slice was amazing, you could really appreciate the sauce which was flavored nicely. The spinach slice was great, sautéed to perfection. Lastly, the grandma Sicilian slice was scrumptious. The crust was perfectly crispy but not too hard that you would worry about chipping a tooth. Definitely a family favorite! Plus- the serve wine and beer!! Enjoy!

By far The Best Pizzeria in New York hands down. It's always cooked just right, never under cooked. The prices are very good as well.

Lobster tails are not ACYE, but are brought out every half-hour -- customers might have to queue to receive one. Customers can receive a maximum of four lobster tails during a two-hour visit. The lobster tails were heavy seasoned in Old Bay seasoning and very salty. One lobster tail should be enough for most (because of the salt), but I had two. The rest of the food was above average for AYCE restaurants. All versions of the chicken wings were moist. All versions of shrimp were deveined. I preferred the "cold" (unseasoned) snow crab legs, which were of a good quality, naturally sweet, not greasy, and not salty. The steamed flounder dish was nearly perfectly cooked. I'm told that the string beans were very good, too. Desserts were well represented. The fruit was fresh. Even though the egg tarts lacked custard, the shells were crisp and flaky. We liked the tiramisu, as it was made with ladyfinger cookies and had a good amount of coffee flavor. All drinks are included in the price; we had hot tea, soda, and a boba tea drink. Other: The restaurant is brightly lit, and the seats are comfortably cushioned. There is booth-style, half-circle booth, and community-table style seating. There are adequately maintained men's and women's restrooms. There is free, VPN-friendly, Wi-Fi. Service is pretty good; they regularly cleared finished plates from our table. Suggested tips are based on post-tax subtotals, and start at 15%.

However, I was not here for the decor. I was here for the food and the drinks! And neither was a disappointment! We ordered two tequila sunrises. Initially I was taken back by the drink served in a plastic resealable bag. That drink was so good and potent- I had to order a water! I felt the drink hit me before I was even half done with it. Then I understood the resealable bag. I could take it home. Genius. The scallops for the appetizers weren't bad at all! I was impressed. But the kicker was the boils. My date had a combo with snow crab. I on the other hand ordered the crab du jour, 2 lobster tails, 1 lb of shrimp, 1 lb clams, sausage, potato and two corns in medium spice with old bay. Suffice it to say I didn't realize the sheer seriousness of my order. Yes, I took it home and went in deep once again. I have no complaints. The food was awesome. The drinks were generous, the waitress was on point. Definitely will be heading back!

It seems that the ends of the roll are real lobster as the claw meat is obvious and the texture is much different. The meat in the center has a much different texture and firmness, and the taste is also much different. I did also get the crab fries and those were delicious as well as the crab cake! Won't order the roll again, but I'll for sure be getting the crab fries and crab cake again!

Our waitress, Chiara, was joyful and attentive and helped us with our choices. I started with the clam chowder, followed by the chicken parm over penne. My wife opted for the mussels and washed it down with a salad. Everything was yummy. My wife said that the mussels were the meatiest she's ever had. As for me, my chicken parm was the epitome of 'comfort food.' And by that, I mean it came covered with cheese and sauce and looked like something out of a Star Trek episode ... but it was delicious, and the leftovers came home for a second meal :) One of the other reviews referred to the Marina View as a 'hidden treasure', and that's kinda true as it's off the beaten path. It's not on Main St. It's down by the water and worth the trip. Highly recommended. PS: We may go back for Elvis night!

My friend says he and his wife come here all the time and get the same thing. I brought someone here and we liked it very much and at $38, it's a good value. We walked in the nautically themed Crab Shanty and were seated quickly. Even though the Lobster Special had disappeared from the official menu, I understand it was always possible to order it and it was inevitable they had to bring it back out on the official menu. It comes first with garlic bread that you will devour. Next you have the choice of a salad or clam chowder and that clam chowder hits with the garlic bread. Then comes the main event with the whole lobster split lengthwise, two baked clams and a broiled or steamed shrimp. On the side you can choose fries, rice pilaf or baked potato. The fries were good, the clams and shrimp better and the lobster was great. The lobster is buttered and seasoned well. These are not jumbo lobster, but adequate for the price point. No one goes home hungry and the Crab Shanty goes easy on the wallet so you can return anytime. Service is good too. Four stars!

My sister went all in with the stuffed lobster loaded with clams and shrimp, plus a baked potato and New England clam chowder. My sister had a Bloody Mary and Hennessy coladas, and I had an 1800 margarita--bartender definitely knows what they're doing! Only downside was the wait--about 45 minutes--but it was restaurant week on City Island, so expected. Honestly though, the "deal" wasn't much (just a free virgin piña colada or soft drink), so don't go expecting big specials. Overall, still my go-to every time. Great vibes, great food, and always worth it. I'll definitely be back!

Friends took me here for my birthday and we had reservations at another place, but they "lost" them? All of us have been here before so we decided why not, and see what happens. The place was incredibly busy, we had about a 20 minute wait but it was worth it! Our server Robert was top notch. Professional and cordial. He Immediately came over with glasses of water, garlic bread, cheese and olive tapas, a house salad, and napkins. Tried the broiled fisherman's combo: shrimp, scallops, fish fillet, mussels, stuffed clams, lobster tail, and a side, I opted for linguini with garlic aioli. Everything was cooked very well and the presentation amazing and beautiful. Now here's something you don't see every day; an actual stuffed clam where the clam is still partially attached to the shell! None of that surimi crap! Finished the meal with a double espresso, shared a tartufo and cheese cake. I don't know if the digestif was complementary, but it was a nice touch. I don't know how the kitchen keeps up with the orders. The waitstaff must put a few miles on their feet a day and a cardio workout carrying the trays overflowing with food. Amazing! Everything in the restaurant is kept neat, clean, and organized. The music is not overwhelming. You can hear each other at the table. When the weather is a little nicer, they have beautiful outdoor seating with views of Long Island sound.
