I heard great things about this place, so was looking for an alternative to my trips down to Annandale, VA (where the Peking Duck is phenomenal). Well, the duck here is worthy of another visit, but it didn't make my top list. The pancakes were a bit too floury and the duck was just a bit on the greasy side - not too greasy though. The service, however, was exceptional and I will be coming back. Tea is served immediately and a nice hot towel at the end for clean up. I ordered delivery and the delivery service was excellent! In my opinion the food was just OK. The doneness of the sweet and sour chicken was very good. The doneness teriyaki steak was cooked well but didn't taste like teriyaki. The egg rolls were cooked well and good crunch but no pork or flavor to them. The lo mein was flat tasting. Plenty of roast pork and scallions but the flavor was just flat that pasta is a blank canvas for flavor absorption. I give high marks for the service! Easily some of the best Chinese food in Frederick. We have tried ev-ery-where and nothing beats the service or food at this place. Dining in is our favorite. It's a sweet Chinese family that owns it and they are the ones doing everything...seating, serving, cooking, bagging to-go... They greet you with a kettle of hot tea and give you a hot towel after you're done eating. We've lived in Frederick for 3 years now, and it took us 3 years to finally find decent chinese food. And they deliver. We have liked every dish we have tried. My only complaint would be that the szechuan beef had green peppers in it, and I was very disappointed because I hate hate hate green peppers. Other than that, awesome. Always great phone service. The food at this establishment was extremely disappointing. My husband and I ordered Shrimp fried rice, eggrolls and Beef with Green Peppers for carryout on June 9 around 6 pm. My husband barely got to sit down and close the car door when we noticed one of the employees coming towards the car with our dinner in his hand. I am thinking "Wow , that was way too fast for this to be fresh food." The Beef with Green Peppers was so tasteless and bland. I am not sure if they just heated it up in the microwave in the plastic container because the texture of the food was paste like and very strange tasting. I had my husband try mines and he also said the same thing. His fried rice was also tasteless but there was no paste like texture going on with his. The egg rolls followed right in the footsteps of the entrees, being very bland and no seasoning and no love put into it. All and all this was a waste of $30 and I would not recommend this restaurant to others. If you are willing to travel a bit down the road to Gaithersburg, you should try Hunan Cafe. They are hands down the best I have tasted in a while and I am never disappointed. Their dishes are made to order and they cook every dish in a different wok in case of food allergies. read more

I was looking for a go-to Chinese place near my new office and thought I would give this place a try based on reviews. They were very nice but the food was sub-par at best. I got the sweet/sour chicken and a spring roll. The spring roll was ok. The sweet & sour was very small, thin pieces of chicken with a sauce that was just ok. We ordered takeout last night and, as usual, it was outstanding. We picked it up in the 15-minutes they said and when we got it home it was fresh and hot. We had our regular which is Green Pepper Chicken with white meat only. It was spicy but we could have ordered it with less spice so that's not a fault. We also had ChaCha Beef which was outstanding and the Beef & Broccoli is always good as well. Dinner was rounded out with Egg Rolls and Pork Fried Rice. We picked it up this time because it was late but their delivery option is also great. They give you a timeframe and meet it every time. When we walked in last night, we were cheerfully greeted and when we left, we were bid a good night. We have also eaten there in the past and that, too, is a great experience. So I've been here many times before but the last time I got carry out it was terrible. Plus the older gentleman rushed me the whole time. They were not busy. When I got home and checked the food it looked as if it was re-heated and had been made much earlier. The orange chicken and sesame chicken were both very tough, like I mentioned appeared to be microwaved. I also had asked for fried rice with the orders but sadly it looked like they just put soy sauce on white rice and with no vegetables. The worst part is I told my friend that this was the best Chinese food in frederick, from what I knew from past experiences there. But when I got home and we started eating it really was pretty bad. We had the Crispy Beef and Kung Po chicken and both were perfect. The price was great too. They have aa $35 minimum for delivery. I wish it was more like $25 since we usually only order 2 dinner items so my husband went and picked it up. He said the place was packed which is always a good sign and many people who were there were Asian which is another good sign. I was very pleased with everything. The crispy Beef was actually crispy and the sauce was great. Could be a little more beef and less veggies but for the price I can't complain. next time I may just ask to pay more for extra meat. Next time we are in the mood for Chinese this is defintely where we will be going. Extremely friendly staff too which is always nice to find since many Chinese places I have ordered from the people have been very rude. not the case here. Definitley give this place a chance. I am confused by the poor or middle of the road reviews. I have been to this restaurant since moving to the Frederick area 6 years ago. I love Chinese food and I don't like poor quality food. I consider myself an expert on Chinese food. I have tried Chinese food throughout the tri-state area, from very expensive to carry-out and my fiance and I think this is one of the best places we have ever been to. When you get a shrimp dish it's loaded with clean healthy shrimp and the chicken and pork dishes are quality meat, not the tough meet you get at a lot of places. The food is extremely flavorful and everyone who I have taken there absolutely loves it. I highly recommend this place if you appreciate quality Chinese food. Best Chinese in Frederick. The Kung Pao Chicken is excellent, with the right amount of spice to it. Their shrimp spring rolls are superb. This place if fantastic! I asked Siri for the best Chinese food in Frederick, and she did not disappoint. As I walked in the door, I was greeting with the utmost enthusiasm by the man who I assume owns the place. He sat us and quickly brought us appetizers, bubble tea and water. The egg rolls were fantastic, though the spare ribs were lacking a bit.
