My mom was having surgery and i didn't want to go far. This restaurant didn't have very good reviews, but I'm a sucker for Dan Dan Noodles. I got to the restaurant and OH NO Dan Dan noodles wasnt on the menu anymore. I was so disappointed and contemplated leaving before ordering. I asked the girl taking my order if they still did them and she said YES they had just taken them off if the menu. I inly had to wait about 5 mins for it to come out. It was pipping hot. I was disappointed on the quality of chicken. It was very tough. Which is kinda weird,because it's shredded chicken. But the flavor and taste did not disappoint. It was nice to sit and relax and chill before heading back to the hospital. read more

Pei Wei is really just declining, following the way of many fast casual places. Ordered Mongolian chicken, maybe 5 pieces of chicken in the entree sized bowl. Mainly just rice in the bowl, maybe they think people won't notice? I love the taste of Pei Wei but you can't charge what you do and expect people to settle for little to no protein. The queue inside the restaurant was slow also, bit of a long wait- they evidently aren't staffed enough to open two registers. read more

We visited on 1/14/2024 and had a surprisingly nice visit. I say "surprisingly" as we had stopped coming-- for at least the last 7 years. The food had become boring and tasteless. This visit was so much better! The inside of the restaurant has been updated. There were comfortable booths and tables.The inside is far nicer than a fast food joint, but more casual than a sit down restaurant. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. We visited at about 3pm, so the place was quiet, with a few patrons other than us. Our service was prompt and friendly. I LOVE that they have switched to the fried tofu as opposed to the old floppy, sliced kind. You can sub the meat for tofu in almost every dish. LOVE this! We got the Teriyaki Tofu and the Spicy General Tso's Tofu and an order of the veggie spring rolls. Fresh food. Both dishes were yummy, but we preferred the Teriyaki Tofu as it had a greater depth of flavor than the General Tso's dish. Veggie spring rolls were your typical variety, but they were delicious. Yesterday Jan 13, 2024@ 8:30pm my son and I arrived at Pei Wei. As I walked in, I noticed one guy cleaning pots. We went ahead and ordered. After we got our food, I noticed one of the cooks cleaning. Spraying some cleanser all over the backwall as he had climbed up there to clean all the way to the top. MEANWHILE, the other guy was cooking. I had no idea cleaning chemicals were part of the recipe. Problem 2: We sat. Son ordered Thai Chicken Curry and I ordered Lettuce wraps. Not even half ways thru his meal he says: what's this? And pulls out what looks like a piece of metal wire. I looked at it and sure enough it was a piece of wire brush that you use to clean stoves, grills, etc. Had he eaten that, it might have caused a tear in the esophagus or stomach lining as the food went down. I expect better if you want to keep your customers. I won't be going back. Total cost: $29.29, yet restaurants want to force customers to 'TIP'????? PEOPLE: WATCH what you eat. Their quality has diminished since this location moved from Highland Village. Not sure what's going on, but the portions are smaller. I had the fire- cracker chicken tonight, and 75% of the chicken potions or skin or fat. I'm estimating 25% or actual Meat portions. Order pick up for 12 pm. I have to wait 20 minutes just to get service?? And letting people cut in line. It's a lunch rush. Hire more people or maybe get the pick up orders dealt with first. How is it the Pei Wei is an extension of PF Chang's yet can only offer a couple of vegetarian items? Lettuce wraps are one of the biggest sellers at Chang's, especially the vegetarian option. Not at Pei Wei. And most of their dishes, even when substituted with tofu, are not veg friendly because they add chicken broth to the sauces. Boo! Get with the times! Fast service, not a bad place for lunch but nothing special. The chicken and everything is exactly what you'd expect, it's not much different from the frozen Chinese food you can buy at Costco. Just avoid the pad thai, there are at least five Thai restaurants within 5 miles that do a much much better job at it. The pad thai here is the most bland thing I've ever tasted. read more

It was fine by us since we knew this was not fine dining, They had plenty of hot items and the temperatures were pretty hot for the hot item preventing germ spread. I did not dare to try the cold items such as the sushi, sashimi, and raw oysters. Other customers have fared fine. The food was tasty but it also a place of gluttony. The one off putting thing was that when I went to bathroom, someone had thrown up in the sink. I pushed on because this was not the restaurant's fault. Some folks complain that they charge for toddlers. I did not mind because their prices were so low, I was wondering how they were making a profit. I returned to the bathroom later, and this time, someone had thrown up on the floor. The staff was cleaning all of this mess rather quickly. This is place of gluttony as customers stuffed their faces. Chances are that they had been in the sun and drank a little too much alcohol before they came. It was interesting experience since most of the customers seemed to be Mexican and African Immigrants. I liked the vibe of the place even though I was a little cautious at first. Go check it out of you have an open mind and aren't grossed out easily. I am not sure if I will return, but I am glad I at least tried this place out.

Pei Wei is Pei Wei. This one has pretty good food just like the rest. I go here for lunch every couple weeks and really enjoy the management. Nice, helpful and Every once in a while if there is a new item you haven't tried they will get you a little sample. read more
