There was a Pei-Wei To-go that opened near me but for some reason it closed with in a year. I hadn't ate at one in a while but I was craving my favorite item which is their lettuce wraps. Everyone's else's lettuce wraps are compared to Pei Wei's. That's just how good I think theirs are. Give them a try. read more

My mom was having surgery and i didn't want to go far. This restaurant didn't have very good reviews, but I'm a sucker for Dan Dan Noodles. I got to the restaurant and OH NO Dan Dan noodles wasnt on the menu anymore. I was so disappointed and contemplated leaving before ordering. I asked the girl taking my order if they still did them and she said YES they had just taken them off if the menu. I inly had to wait about 5 mins for it to come out. It was pipping hot. I was disappointed on the quality of chicken. It was very tough. Which is kinda weird,because it's shredded chicken. But the flavor and taste did not disappoint. Pei Wei is really just declining, following the way of many fast casual places. Ordered Mongolian chicken, maybe 5 pieces of chicken in the entree sized bowl. Mainly just rice in the bowl, maybe they think people won't notice? I love the taste of Pei Wei but you can't charge what you do and expect people to settle for little to no protein. The queue inside the restaurant was slow also, bit of a long wait- they evidently aren't staffed enough to open two registers. read more

We visited on 1/14/2024 and had a surprisingly nice visit. I say "surprisingly" as we had stopped coming-- for at least the last 7 years. The food had become boring and tasteless. This visit was so much better! The inside of the restaurant has been updated. There were comfortable booths and tables.The inside is far nicer than a fast food joint, but more casual than a sit down restaurant. You order at the counter and the food is brought to you. We visited at about 3pm, so the place was quiet, with a few patrons other than us. Our service was prompt and friendly. I LOVE that they have switched to the fried tofu as opposed to the old floppy, sliced kind. You can sub the meat for tofu in almost every dish. LOVE this! We got the Teriyaki Tofu and the Spicy General Tso's Tofu and an order of the veggie spring rolls. Fresh food. Both dishes were yummy, but we preferred the Teriyaki Tofu as it had a greater depth of flavor than the General Tso's dish. Veggie spring rolls were your typical variety, but they were delicious. We were just so pleasantly surprised with the updated experience. We'll certainly be back soon! read more

Yesterday Jan 13, 2024@ 8:30pm my son and I arrived at Pei Wei. As I walked in, I noticed one guy cleaning pots. We went ahead and ordered. After we got our food, I noticed one of the cooks cleaning. Spraying some cleanser all over the backwall as he had climbed up there to clean all the way to the top. MEANWHILE, the other guy was cooking. I had no idea cleaning chemicals were part of the recipe. Problem 2: We sat. Son ordered Thai Chicken Curry and I ordered Lettuce wraps. Not even half ways thru his meal he says: what's this? And pulls out what looks like a piece of metal wire. I looked at it and sure enough it was a piece of wire brush that you use to clean stoves, grills, etc. Had he eaten that, it might have caused a tear in the esophagus or stomach lining as the food went down. I expect better if you want to keep your customers. I won't be going back. Total cost: $29.29, yet restaurants want to force customers to 'TIP'????? PEOPLE: WATCH what you eat. Fast service, not a bad place for lunch but nothing special. The chicken and everything is exactly what you'd expect, it's not much different from the frozen Chinese food you can buy at Costco.
