I went here today because I haven't had a salmon bowl in a really long time and I remembered Fast and Furious Japanese grill from a fee years ago and this place popped up. I'm a little confused by there being F&F Grill, Fast and Furious, and F&F Express but they all seem to serve the same things. I got the Hawaiian bowl with salmon. The rice was steaming hot, but the rest of the ingredients had little flavor except for the spicy mayo. This isn't like I remembered from the grill on Greenville Ave. You do get a big portion which justifies the price, but I wasn't able to rat it all and I'll have to research reheating instructions. I was the only customer on a Saturday afternoon so service was immediate. The decor was really cool because the booths had old truck parts. This review is based off of my experiences ordering takeout; we have not dined in. We order F and F takeout 2-3x/month. The food is great, but quality is really inconsistent. We always order the same thing- gyoza for an appetizer and two hibachi with fried rice and veggies, one with tofu and one with steak. We add an egg and grilled jalapeños to both. Several times, including tonight they've charged us for the egg but we didn't get it. Sometimes the rice is a little stale and the gyoza is sometimes cold/not fully cooked. We also ask for extra ginger sauce (because it's so good) but we don't always get it. When they get it right, this place is awesome but there's no way to tell when they'll get it right and when they won't. We will have to stop ordering from here because it's not cheap enough to overlook the inconsistent quality. read more

Love, love, love, F&F Express. The food is always fresh. The people here are super friendly and tell you what's up on what is good and enjoyable. Really enjoy the layout and atmosphere here as well. They always good some sort of cool music playing in the background. It's a real chill place to have lunch or dinner. I really enjoy the teriyaki chicken and the Bulgogi are my favs. What is also great here is that you don't always have to go with fried rice. You can go for all noodles or a combo of noodles and rice. Note the noodles are sweet potato noodles so they are healthy for you. Also tried out the mushroom stuffed crab, that is also really good. WAY COOL INTERIOR! The use of shipping containers to decorate had me distracted! So did the use of pick up truck tailgates for booth seatbacks. If you get a regular size bowl, you choose either steamed, brown, or fried rice as your base. On top of that, you get sweet potato noodles and grilled veggies (largely carrot, cabbage, onions that are peppered and salted). I usually opt for half the rice, no noodles, and more veggies! Then you can choose from a variety of meat options like different types of battered chicken, beef bulgogi, and spicy pork. My favorite is the spicy pork, but my husband prefers the bulgogi. Next, you automatically get two delicious and crispy dumplings and a spoonful of sweet corn. Lastly, you choose your combination of sauces: spicy mayo, teriyaki sauce, and spicy teriyaki sauce. Not sure if this is also a restaurant, but their food truck was setup at Kamehacon. Fresh, delicious, and worth the wait. Price was a tad disappointing but it was not a bad portion either. Lots of different items go into each bowl, but it seems the standard base is either noodle or rice. Meats are all well marinated and cooked fresh. Vegetables selected on top all also seemed to be very fresh. The sauces used really help to accentuate the flavors and give it a rich and bold flavor. Everything is made to order so be prepared for a short wait (between 3-8 minutes depending on what is ordered). Not a whole lot of options but of course that is expected with a food truck selection and variety. Very hipster feel to it, and the food is something of newer generations that would enjoy. If anyone in the party prefers traditional ethnic dishes this is not for you (it's like baked California rolls comparing to nigiri sushi and trying to say they are the same to someone who is looking for traditional sushi). Next time I'm in Texas I would love to check out if there is a restaurant but even if not, finding this truck again would be a good source of time and would be a great meal. read more
