I liked this lighting store. However I ended up not buying anything from here. My quest for finding the prefect chandelier is still on going. Let's just say I haven't found "the one" for my dining room. However Pego Lamps has many gorgeous ceiling fixtures, lamps, ceiling lights, fans etc. The upstairs has mostly ceiling fans. The main showroom is downstairs with lighting treasures. The associates seemed ok and gave us space but at the same time didn't provide any real information about the pieces. There were some well known names such as Ralph Lauren or Murano crystals in some lighting fixtures. But I would have liked more information on others but then again I want to go to more stores before I can decide. However, I would recommend anyone to go here for their lighting needs because they have a ton of things. And who knows, I might be back to check it out one more time to compare prices and styles with my other stores! read more

I was there at 10:00AM because I was right on time and needed to work. I called them at 10:01 since there was a chain on the front door and it appeared no one was inside. Their advertised opening time is 10AM. I waited about 6 minutes and left. No one answered the phone, no one appeared to be in the building. Extremely unprofessional. I placed an order online June 5th with expedited shipping. Wrote them an email June 11th. No response. Called June 12th and they said they'd call me back. Instead they refunded me the money and wrote me an email that the manufacturer did not have any left in stock. Had I not called, how long would they have kept my money for?? They didn't even try to show me another model or ask if they could help with replacing it with something else. They clearly don't want my sale and I will take my need elsewhere. Giving them 3 stars because if you actually go in person it's a pretty good experience. Just don't order online if you actually need something. read more

Just left this store. They have beautiful chandeliers and the style I have been looking for. I walked in and smiled at the men behind the counter. Not one of the three welcomed me. I walked around the entire store waiting for someone to offer to help me. I had to ask for help. I almost asked if the guy hates his job that much because he didn't crack a smile once and just had no personality whatsoever. I will show my husband the pictures and see what he decides but I will probably buy from somewhere else just because I don't like poor customer service. I placed an order the first week of December 2018, on a GORGEOUS flush chandelier. I was over the moon once we paid for it and they told us about 2 weeks. We were crossing our fingers that it would arrive before Christmas as we were hosting. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Oh well. Two weeks later (a month in) I begin calling the store. First no answer and it would get "transferred" to the 8st store. They pick up saying they're together but separate and hence couldn't answer anything regarding my order. But, they took my name and number and someone would reach out to me the next day. Crickets. Never heard back. Other times I called they "couldn't find my order." After 2 months of waiting I finally made it back to the store, a guy named Alexis had me wait about 30 minutes before he could even address me. The answer I got "it's Saturday I don't know where your lamp is or how long it's going to take to get here, but I'll call you Monday to let you know." He did call, Monday afternoon saying maybe another week or two. At this point I'm upset for their lack of communication and I question him as to why he'd make me pay 100% for an item he clearly knew wouldn't arrive in the timeframe they said. He stated that I could have put a down payment - yet that option was never offered to me. I keep calling and get the run around. Until one day, about 3 months after placing the order, I call and magically they know who I am without even asking anything - I suppose caller ID. The man answers and says oh your lamp is here, it's been here I the front of the showroom. I immediately ask why I want notified. I got the usual response - someone said they called you. LIESSSSS!! This is the main problem I have with this store, lack of communication. It would cost them nothing to say, look it's taking longer I apologize. Simple human communication. Nope. Fast forward a week later when i can get to south Miami. I show up and they point at the lamp and help me take it to my car. No acknowledgement, no apologies, nothing. As a business if you're not willing to man up to your mistakes or mishaps, who will trust you and why. I've yet to open the boxes and I'm hoping it's intact. Lesson to be learned- if you really like something from this store and are willing to wait 3 months, give a down payment and not pay in full. Their communication to the customer is TERRIBLE. I came here to get a lamp shade. I was greeted, sent to the 2nd floor to look for my product. I was up there for 25 minutes. No one came to help me, check on me or ask me if I had any questions. I did not know what kind of shade to get, appropriate length of shade and a lot of product was missing prices. I returned with a shade and when asked if I had found everything ok, I responded with an honest answer as written above. The attendant proceeded to tell me over and over again how he cannot leave the first floor to go the second floor. I asked him to stop telling me and that I heard him the first time and he persisted. Terrible, terrible customer service. The lamp shade selection was weak at best and the place was unpleasant to be in (odor, layout, etc.). My husband and I spent over $6000 on a chandelier. When it was delivered we noticed one of the crystals was missing. I called the store to inquire about the crystal and was told one of their employees broke it when he was packing the chandelier. This was over 4 weeks ago. Their associate named Pacheco has given me three different dates to stop by the store and pick up the crystal. Three trips into that store and nothing. Spoke with the manager, Alexis Perez, last week who promised he would personally find out and call me....nothing! Stay away and spend your money somewhere else. The store is run by monkeys. We walked into this store prepared to spend up to a few thousand $$$ on a chandelier for our dining room. The associate behind the counter looked right at us but never said a word. We walked around the showroom for about 10-15 minutes clearly showing interest in a few fixtures but we quickly grew annoyed with the complete lack of customer service so we walked out. I have been purchasing chandeliers and lighting fixtures at Pego for years. I have never encountered poor customer service. I have also shopped around and know their prices can't be beat on the rare occasion that you can find the same specialty lighting in another store. I recommend Pego Lamps anytime I get asked about lighting. We are remodeling our home now and took the plans in to show the salesman. He took the time to recommend lighting for the entire house. I was looking for Pego's number and decided to check-out Yelp. I saw the 1 star and read the other reviews and was shocked! I have bought lamps/pendants/chandeliers from this company for years. I have purchased for both my home and for restaurants. I just made a purchase of 11 fixtures last week and have NO complaints. Yesterday 3 items of the order arrived, on time and in perfect condition. Waiting on 8 sconces, and was given a tracking number. Every time I have called I have had great service, help and information. These guys are a family run company, and they work out best pricing too (trust me I compared). This last order was for my restaurant and I have another 30+ pieces to purchase. I will definitely continue to use Pego, they are local, have been in the business for years, have a great service and track record. Don't let the other reviews daunt you - I am still shocked because this is NOT AT ALL the service I have ever gotten in the many years of being a customer, but then again I remember reading a review of one of my restaurants where the Yelper mentioned that they didn't like the octopus that they ordered.....we never served octopus. I wish there was a zero star rating because giving them 1 star is way too much generosity. I went to this store three times and the last time I went I realized why I hadn't purchase anything in the first place and totally hated this place. The first time I went we looked at some lamps and ask the guy to give me a price on a lamp i like , he said $365, and told him I needed to discuss it with my husband and will come back the next day. He proceed by making comments to my mom about why I needed to talk to my husband, he said of course he is paying, right? ...WTF? ... Really, what does he know, very inappropiate. Even with that I decided to go a second time with my hubby , we were not greeted, when I ask the same guy about the same lamp he told me the lamp was $ 416, from one day to the other he raised the price, how is this even possible? No goodbyes or thanks for stopping by, we were on a rush and decided to leave, naive, me today I stopped at the store to check the same lamp, this time I was greeted but when I asked about the lamp, today's price was $565. I told the guys how is it possible for the prices to go up in such a short period of time, he proceed to tell me that if I didn't get it today, the price was going to be even hired if i waited to get it...
