So we started out the day getting turned away at petco. I called Peggy's and at first they said they didn't have any openings that day but I told them what happened with us at petco and how we were treated and she told me to come on over and they'd see what they could do. When we arrived at Peggy's she sat down in floor with me and my Morkie to help him feel comfortable. They took him back and called not long after and he was already done. Took my newly adolpted dog for a nail trim and face cut. I tried myself but he would not let me touch his paws. The girls there did a fantastic job. They talked to me when I dropped him off and called me to say he did well for nail trim. They bathed him and trimmed his face. He is already for Christmas now. I have been taking my dogs, one which is blind, to Peggys for the past 10 years, and I can confidently say that they provide an exceptional grooming experience. As a pet owner of a visually impaired canine, I have always been concerned about finding a groomer who can cater to my dog's unique needs, and They are amazing with him! He loves going there and he comes out looking amazing! Mackenzie is so sweet with them and there is NO WHERE else I would send my dogs. I took my dog to get groomed last wednesday, picked him up, not one mention that they had cut him both on his neck and the inside of his ear. When I called to ask why they never mentioned it to me Mackenze, the one that groomed him, asked why I didn't call earlier, maybe cause I didn't see it cause it was hidden under his neck and she DIDNT MENTION IT. she also said she would pay for half of the vet visit, she should be the one paying for the whole thing cause she's the reason he had to go in the first place. read more

We brought my dog in for a hair cut and standard grooming. My dog is the friendliest pup and never cries or hesitates when going into new places. This time he did. I was unsure about it and had a weird feeling when I dropped him off so I stayed behind the wall to see how the groomer was treating my dog. I WATCHED THE GROOMER STRIKE MY DOG IN THE FACE TWICE while my dog cried out! Not only this, she was about to stuff him in a cage before I walked in and demanded my dog be given back to me. She claimed she never hit him and that she only tapped his head. I wish I had my phone on to record because I would have proof! Believe the other reviews!! Now I know they are true. This was my second time at this groomer. The last time my dog was sad for two days And now I know why. We thought he just had separation anxiety but NO. I'm sure that this groomer was treating him unwell the last time too. Don't risk it. This groomer doesn't care about animals. My poor baby couldn't help himself and this groomer decided to take advantage of it! NEVER AGAIN. read more

There are literally not enough stars to rate Peggy's Pup 'n Suds properly. This place is off the charts accommodating! Professional! And my dogs are treated like royalty. Everyone who works at Peggy's is so welcoming, plus gentle, kind and loving to all my dogs. They are ALWAYS able to get my furbabies in, without crazy wait times. PLUS, toe nail trims can be done as walk-ins. I also appreciate that they post appointment openings on social media, so I can share with friends and on my FB pet groups. My little Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix NEVER had a decent grooming until Peggy's. Plus, Gidget is nearly blind, and very timid around strange dogs on top of it. After I walked in on her being screamed at, at a local chain grooming salon, I was afraid to take her anywhere else. Peggy's was recommended from a friend who had a very old, frail dog and had NOTHING but very good experiences at Peggy's. From the very first phone call and visit, they made us feel like family. Even my mutant puppy-mill rescue, who is completely irrational about nail-trimming at home! He is so relaxed and at-ease at Peggy's. He is like a completely different dog. Lastly, I have a giant German shepherd, a foster turned family dog...he had his very first bath and blow out yesterday...and HATES baths. He was an angel they reported back to me upon pick up, and he seriously has never looked/smelled/felt soooo good. This giant dog who takes two of us at home to wrangle into the bathtub was sitting in the tub as calm as you please. Blown away. Couldn't be happier with the great service at this pup salon! My girls are both large breeds and we recently had our groomer move out of town. With Covid hitting a lot of businesses hard most of the groomers in town were either not accepting new clients or do not service large breed dogs. Cute shop with amazing groomers. We were a last minute emergency request and they fit us right in. We have two Husky dogs, one 75lb and the other 50lbs and TONS of hair. They both came out of their appointment and looked amazing. So clean and well brushed ou. We left the owner an extra tip because she fit us in, did an amazing job and didn't try to charge us an arm & a leg. Truly impressed with this woman owned business!!! I've been taking my pet here on and off for a few years now and haven't had any issues until recently. On August 4th, 2023, I dropped off my Maltese poodle to Breeana at 8:30 am. When I got him back at 10:30 am and drove him home, I noticed blood on my sweatshirt and my pet to have a swollen, watery left eye. I immediately made an appt to my pet's vet and was told he had a long scratch on his cornea. I attempted to reach out to Breeana but she refused to take any ounce of responsibility and didn't acknowledge the fact that my pet might have been hurt while being groomed. I had no intention of having Breena pay for my pets $350 vet visits and continued to insist my pet was fine after the appt even though my pet was taken to the Vet immediately after his grooming session. We continued to have a back and forth conversation, with Breeana, and she continued to relate we were being rude and were blaming her for something she didn't do. She proceeded to reach out to my pets vet and solicit information over my pets medical visits. Highly unprofessional for reaching out to my pets vet, especially since Breeana isn't contributing to my pets medical expenses. I will no longer be taking my pet here. I understand my pet could be fussy and she made it extremely clear that she charged an extra handling fee, which I'm completely fine with, but if she couldn't handle my dog, I would've 100% rather she call me so I can pick him up rather than have this issue. Not only was my pet returned with a watery, swollen and scratched eye, but he was bleeding from a paw and had multiple razor burns on his tummy. Extremely bad experience. read more

On my previous visit, with two middle aged groomers doing the work, I gave them 5 stars. Things have changed. on my most recent visit, they were all very young kids. The cut was not even, and they handed me my dog not combed out. The was filthy and smelled to the high heave. If you love your pet, avoid this place. read more

***PLEASE READ! DOG DIED*** My sister and brother in law took their 2 fur babies Otis and Ginger to be groomed here. My brother in law got a call to come pick up Ginger. She had hung to death while her 50lb sister was being blow dried on the same table. Ginger was 11 pounds. It was brought to Stacy's attention that Ginger wasn't on the table by Peggy. Stacey grabbed Ginger and handed her over to Brianna and then she walked out the door. Brianna tried CPR but was not successful. She asked the owner to call Gingers Dad but she continued to dry Otis because she said that he would want to pick her up too. So Brianna was attempting CPR and calling my Brother at the same time. When my brother got there, Brianna was crying and handed Ginger over to him wrapped in one of her personal towels from home. I took my sister to pick up Otis and Brianna came out to the car to speak with my sister. She apologized and told what exactly happened. She said that she felt she had the right to know and that the person who should be out there talking to her left. 2 days later Staceys husband left a voice mail for my brother saying he was sorry but that his wife was so upset he had to sedate her for 2 days. He posted on his FB page about what happened he decided were the events of that morning. He then made a comments that if the parents wanted to talk with him, to message him on FB and he would provide them with his personal number. )This is after he already left the message). Interestingly enough, that 2nd day of "sedation", Stacey was getting Botox. To this day, she has neither called or offered any type of apology or explanation to them. Brianna however was fired because she would not lie and say that Otis pushed Ginger off the table. The groomer was negligent. Ginger had to have hung there for 2-4 minutes before she died. She suffered because no one was paying attention to her. So Ginger died, they wanted to blame Otis, Stacey walked out the door and never took any type of responsibility for what happened and Brianna, the ONLY one who tried to offer type of compassion was fired. Also, none of groomers are licensed. They don't have to be. I ignorantly thought all groomers were licensed. Something to think about the next time you drop your babies off for services. This wasn't just an accident. It was an accident due to negligence and plain old not paying attention. I hope and pray that this never happens to another animal at their facility. I know NONE of mine will EVER go there and I am and will spread the word about Stacey not taking responsibility. She should have handled her responsibilities and then went home to be "sedated". This was a sh!t show and the ones who are hurting are my sister and her husband. #justiceforginger read more

Before I start my review, I will preface by saying that the groomer had to go off a text description of what I wanted and a photo of how my dogs cut has been in the past. BUT that is still no excuse for the hack job that he ended up with. He is uneven throughout his entire body. And two of his legs are shaved so close to the skin that he has light razor burn. I am extremely upset about this after being told good things about this groomer. I haven't been too happy with the other groomer in town, but I'll probably just start taking him back there after this. read more
