Pegasus has the best pizza in town. The crust is good and they have the best ingredients. Plenty of veggie and meat options. They make their own dough and prep all their ingredients in-house (no frozen pre-cooked chicken!). Our go-to favorites are the Hawaii 5-0, the Veggie Vortex, and the Mt. Saint Helen's. I don't mess around the food delivery services that take money from the restaurants. We go old-school and call in our order and then pick it up. Situated within steps of the frats and student housing, Pegasus Pizza is your typical college town hangout spot -- draft beer, pizza, and good vibes all around. I kept it simple and got a slice of pep and a blackberry cider and it hit the spot. The slice was huge, cider was crisp, and service was so-so. We ordered two small pizza's for dinner delivery thru Doordash. One was pepperoni. The other a delicious pie with feta, roasted garlic, olives and basil. Crust was excellent. Toppings were good. Delicious pizza: fresh ingredients and great taste. The workers were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and I received my pizza pretty quickly. The only downside was that the pizza was an absolute grease trap. If you look at my picture of the pepperoni pizza, you'll see literal puddles of grease in the pepperonis. Pegasus Pizza is my go-to place for lunch when I'm on campus around lunchtime. A friend suggested we head there after studying late at the beginning of term. I was wary, because I'm vegan and I'm usually reluctant to go new places without reading their menus first, but my friend assured me they had vegan options. I ordered a vegan cheese pizza with pineapple. They use Daiya, which is what I use at home when we make pizza, and is a great substitute for the usual house made vegan cheese sauce I run into sometimes. The sauce was flavorful, and the crust was fluffy inside and crisp outside. Pegasus Pizza makes a fine vegan pie! I was really pleased. I asked for a cherry coke, and the nice employee working at the counter told me he could run downstairs and put grenadine in a regular soda, since they don't have a cherry coke fountain soda. So nice! It would be hard to justify buying a pizza just for myself for dinner, because they are kind of pricey (for the average college student) at night. I asked my boyfriend to meet me there for lunch a week or so later. They have a lunch special during certain afternoon hours, where you can order a personal pizza with 2 toppings for 5.75. It's a pretty good deal. He got dairy cheese, pineapple, and spinach, and I got another Daiya pizza with pineapple and black olives. The personal pizzas are good sized. My boyfriend is kind of picky about pizza crust and he really enjoyed eating there. Atmosphere wise, it gets pretty noisy at night, since they show games on their massive TVs, but it's not unpleasant. It was pretty calm around lunchtime when I went. They even have a couple pinball games you can play while you wait for their pizza. If I had endless money for food, I could easily eat here once a day and not get tired of it. Pegasus is a great casual place to get some pizza, beer, and maybe a few drinks. There is a lot of open table and booth seating indoors and they have a few tables outside on a deck overlooking the street as well. They serve beer upstairs and have a full bar downstairs if you want something a little stronger. At this location you order at the counter and then your order is brought out to your table of choice as opposed to traditional wait service. Our tables were bused occasionally, a perfect amount of service IMO. The pies were fantastic. We had the Combo and a half Maui Wowie/Pepperoni. Both were hot, fresh and tasty and used quality toppings. We tried a couple orders of the Focaccia and the Garlic "Gnots". The Focaccia was a crowd pleaser, the "Gnots" not so much. They were not terrible, they just needed a bit more flavor. This was the 2nd time our group has come here and we will be back for sure! read more

Legendary. Before I moved to Eugene, I asked some friends who grew up here if they had any tips on how to get to know this unique town. Every one of them mentioned Pegasus Pizza. It's the best pizza in town. When my mom brought my niece down to see me, we took her here with us to watch the Duck game. She loved it (as everyone should). Pegasus won't change the way you think about pizza in Eugene. It won't cause you to make sounds of delight while you eat a slice or tell everyone you know that Pegasus has the best pizza around. Finally, and unfortunately, eating this pizza won't magically result in the appearance of a winged horse on loan from Zeus. With that said, Pegasus isn't a bad pizza joint. They have some good lunch specials and a full bar downstairs. For lunch you can get a slice, soda and a salad for about $5 or instead you can get a personal pizza for the same price. The dinner specials run from 4-6 and 10-close if I'm remembering correctly and are generally a discount on a full pie of a certain type. This deal may have only been going when I was there because Pegasus is celebrating an anniversary. Last night a buddy and I split the small pepperoni and had a pitcher of Rolling Rock for about 15 dollars. Apparently Rolling Rock is Pegasus' PBR replacement, just like Labatt's is Rennie's PBR replacement. Why the hell don't either of these campus eateries carry the blue ribbon? We sat on the deck, which is particularly great for scoping Greek Life beezies and bros as they stumble back to their homes on Alder and is in general one of the quieter outdoor seating setups. The nasty looking apartment across the street is certainly an eye sore though. Again, it won't blow your mind. But, if you desire a slice close to campus and want your crust on the Ally McBeal side, check out Peg. I also like that they don't charge for ranch. It didn't help that right before we started craving pizza, Guy Fieri was on the Food Channel gobbling down a slice of wood- baked oven pizza with the cheese practically melting off the side. We all took one look at each other and said, "We should order some pizza!!" 30 seconds later, it was off to the Pegasus website where we ordered a large pie called: LITTLE ITALY Garlic/olive oil base, fresh spinach, mozzarella, Italian sausage, roasted red pepper, gorgonzola, topped with fresh basil and parmesan. Since there was only 3 of us, we thought that we would have been okay ordering a medium size. But after digging in, let's just say that a large was "sufficient." The crust was great-- not real thick, but still had the thin crusty taste. I could distinctly taste the crushed garlic, along with the sliced fresh spinach and the sprinkling of basil throughout. The roasted red pepper and melted gorgonzola used in place of mozarella made the pizza taste awesome as well. The few slices of pieces we have left will definitely make a great snack for tomorrow. I've never been into Pegasus but I've had their food at the bar in the basement, Fathom's. Having just completed a remodel, Fathom's is clean and comfortable with a great staff. They serve Pegasus' menu until bar close and have excellent food and drink specials. The U of O clientele can be obnoxious, but altogether this is a great spot. And shots of Pendelton are only $5.50! EDIT: I went into Pegasus for lunch and they were nice enough to let me leave my car in their parking lot while I went to talk to one of my professors. Considering how obnoxious parking can be on the UO campus, this was definitely a plus! read more

*This review is for delivery* I was pretty darn close to three stars... and then I took a bite of my chicken wings... ...After driving for 8+ hours my hubby and I checked into a Motel 6 (sweet digs) and found the Huskies v. Baylor bowl game on ESPN. (Go Dawgs!) And what goes better with football than pizza and wings?... Nothin'. (Obviously beer as well... I'm not an idiot). Pegasus was the best price I found on Yelp that served a gluten-free slice, had wings (not breaded), and delivered . There were no reviews regarding the gluten-free crust... so I prayed. For about 20 bucks we got a small gluten-free pepperoni and a half-order of chicken wings- and a 2.50 delivery charge. They utilize a delivery company called the Pony Express. Whatever, I don't care, just get me my food- I'm getting hangry.. They arrived in around an hour. Not bad. My gluten-free pizza was probably worth three stars. It wasn't too "rice-y" (fellow gluten-free foodies know what I'm talking about), nicely chewy, and a bit crunchy around the edges- which I don't mind and usually expect from these types of crusts. The cheese was a bit weird- a little rubbery, but not too shabs. Pepperoni was standard. Satisfied my craving but didn't wow me. Because of the gluten-free markup (add three dollars to a price of a small and you get a 12 inch) I didn't want to spend extra $ on fancy toppings. The wings were just gross. When I called to verify that they didn't bread the wings (blasphemy, I say!) the nice girl informed me that they are baked. Now, I can pull off a delicious baked wing in my own kitchen- crispy, but still healthy. These were... slimy. Dark and woody inside, you get a real pizza parlor kind of ambiance. It's good for groups. I think they also have a deck outside that you can sit on and relax.
