I received a water bill from the LADWP that nearly gave my wife and I a heart attack. Our bill had nearly quadrupled and we had no idea how! I started thinking that we had a massive leak somewhere that wasn't visible to the eye. Great customer service and super friendly. I knew I had a leak but didn't know where to look. In the first minute Phil narrowed it down to the front yard. Then he found the leak. The coolest part is he then proceeded to pin point the leak and set a pink flag on it so I knew where to dig. His horizontal accuracy was literally plus or minus an inch. For what he charges he can save you a lot of money if found before big damage is done. I woke up at night and noticed running water sound(low level) coming from the walls and water heater area. That company told me the leak was on the wrong side of a wall so I demo'd my bathroom floor only to discover the leak was in the kitchen. Not fun! You can tell by the warm tile floor that there's a hot water pipe leak under the slab; the trick is to identify precisely where the leak is. Our regular plumbers (Beck's Plumbing--also a great service) recommended Pegasus to find the leak. Using a variety of cool equipment, Philip and Frank devoted several hours (at a flat rate) to a careful investigation, cutting a few small but necessary holes in drywall and under sinks to isolate the offending section of pipe. We were nervous about the leak and our inability to find a reliable and honest professional to handle the problem, and Philip and his Dad came out and helped us detect the "slab leak" and liaise with the insurance company. The best part about using them was how much time they took to explain things and even when problems came up that were not caused by them (yet we thought they were), they stopped by and explained issues / how to fix them. Phillip, was quick to respond and come out to the house. He explained everything and performed many tests to rule out any possible leaks. We had a warm floor in a downstairs bathroom and he had infrared to show the hot spots. Turns out it was a hot water pipe manifold right where the water heater was on the other side of the wall that radiated heat. There was no leaks in the house! Yes it was a higher flat rate, but was a flat rate for his time spent and he even helped out with another potential issue that he did not have to do for us. Spent over an hour to rule out everything. Philip is amazing! I recently had my 3rd slab leak and called another company to detect it's location. I informed the technician that this was likely a very big leak, based on the information provided by our smart meter. He spent a short period of time in my home and marked the spot where he detected the leak. The plumber subsequently spent several hours jackhammering the slab to access the pipe, only to discover that it was barely leaking at all!
