I was referred to Phillip by Beck's Plumbing (also great service), to locate a water leak. Phillip showed up on time and explained the leak detection process. He methodically went to each line and traced the leak back to the main line under the garage slab. He made a couple of small wall openings during the process, which were necessary for the repair process anyway. Phillip marked the exact line with the leak. Based on his advice I was actually able to reroute the water line myself saving a ton of money. Spending $400 with Pegasus Leak Detection saved me over $2000 in the end. read more

After locating the leak they then checked every pipe in the hose and even the water faucet in the backyard! Flat rate fee no matter how long it takes, and no charge if they can't locate the leak. I am truly astonished that I got gouged so badly by this company. Their leak detection was accurate, and $600. He had a guy with him to dig and repair the small amount of plastic pipe that was uncovered. I stupidly agreed to the amount of $2000 and signed a 12 page contract which was shown to me on a small phone screen. I have never worked with anyone who has a contact, let alone like this with so many get out clauses. He left then his worker who dug the hole, and replaced a small section of plastic pipe, no more than approx 14" long. There was another small leak in the next junction, again, a small piece of plastic but his worker didn't have the part, I attach a picture he wanted another $750 to fix that on a different day. So he wanted $2750 for this repair. On top of the $600 detection costs. Because they didn't even do their part right, my usual plumber started from scratch; replaced the ENTIRE set of pipes, from meter to the ground, with new (brass to) copper pipe, where the shut off valve is, two guys four hours for $1050. I feel very duped by this company. He might be good at leak detection but I to overcharge for shoddy work is unprofessional. The contract doesn't seem to have a clause about a licensed plumber carrying out the work, which I would have thought was important in a 12 page document. I do not recommend this company at all. I am out $2000 to do a half baked shoddy repair. read more

Back in February we got hit with a huge water bill. Called the city... they "claimed" they came out and checked. Said "no leak". Couple months later get hit with ANOTHER huge water bill. Thought it was our sprinkler system so we replaced the whole thing. Then one day heard the water running outside... turned off the main to the house. Still heard it. Called this company who came out same day. Did some tests and said it was coming from the street into the house. He pulled out his handy tools and was able to locate EXACTLY where the leak was coming from. The bummer is it's been leaking for months and the city was WRONG!
