Didn't really have to wait too long which was kind of nice since I had a reservation at john muir.

It's THIS particular location... On CA-1 in Mill Valley, it's so conveniently on the way to downtown Mill Valley, Stinson Beach, Point Reyes...etc, etc. But regardless of where you're going, stopping in here feels like you're on vacation. Beach/ocean/surf culture. The vibe is a thousand percent beach hut/surf shop, even with no actual beach in sight. How charming is that? Somehow browsing surfboards, even when you don't surf, assuages that unfulfilled dream, or fuels your standing wanderlust. Did you know that Thomas Keller serves Equator coffee at all of his properties? They partnered up 25 years ago, & equator even does special blends at certain TK restaurants. Even though Equator is available at grocery stores now, you should still come here. 5 star coffee in another 5 star location

I was asked by 2 different baristas if I had "really" asked for it iced. I understand the frustration of having to redo something but the way it was approached was disappointing. Once I received the coffee it was okay. I had come with others who did not like the hot mocha. Very little chocolate flavoring. The allergen friendly options were disappointing. They had several but they all had multiple allergens and were stored together. There was an almond cookie, walnut brownie and a sesame pastry all stored within the same container. As someone with allergies that cannot have cross contamination having all of the options in the same case was upsetting. I cannot have sesame and someone else I was with has a nut allergy while also being gluten free. The atmosphere was quiet. There were several regulars asking where people were traveling from and a nice back patio to enjoy the coffee. It was a beautiful town to walk around but for the future I will check out another one of the available coffee shops on the same block.

Don't assume you'll grab a place to sit, especially if you're visiting peak hours. The toast was good, but at $9 I expected something more memorable, so I'd skip that next time. I also overheard an issue at the register where a customer was told their ham croissant was no longer available because it had been given to someone else after they'd already ordered it. The staff offered to substitute something else but couldn't process a refund, and there weren't many other options. I would have been so disappointed if that were me! Overall, it was a decent experience, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again.

I asked for the Pico on the side, not realizing the Pico consisted of the beans, corn, onion and tomato. This little dish was pretty skimpy & I had to pick out the few beans, corn & red onion, leaving the tomato. I was hoping the beans, corn and red onion were "in the salad", not the Pico. I don't like tomatoes, hence my ordering the Pico on the side. Happy to recommend if you are looking for fresh, reasonably priced food.

They do have seating indoor as well, but it being a lovely day, it's always nice to eat al fresco. These seats are indeed coveted, especially on the weekends. The day I was here, a woman had beef with me because I only had coffee and didn't have a number (indicating that I had ordered food). Not go to into too much detail, but we kindly told her that these seats are for everyone. I did end up ordering food a few minutes later, was given a number for the table, and tried their veggie omelette ($13), which was delicious. Featuring goat cheese, kale, poblano chile, red bell pepper, roasted potatoes & ciabatta toast, it was just the right amount. We ordered the Nachos de María with added grilled chicken and a Remix salad with grilled chicken. Our food came out pretty quickly, and the portions were HUGE! The grilled chicken was moist and really flavorful. The Nachos de María was a fun concept. It starts with chips topped with a cheesy chipotle mixture and black beans, then they add a salad on top made with chopped red leaf lettuce, tomato, avocado, and grilled chicken. Everything was tasty, but I think this dish could have been AMAZING with some kind of dressing or vinaigrette tossed with the lettuce and veggies first. The salad portion was completely undressed, so the lettuce and toppings felt a little plain compared to the flavorful nacho base. That little bit of acidity and extra flavor would have really brought everything together and taken the dish to another level. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. The portions were generous, the chicken was delicious, the service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. I'd definitely come back and try some of their other dishes and fresh-squeezed juices/drinks!

The hostess was really nice and she said no worries we can get you a table. There was only two of us so that's probably why it wasn't a problem. We sat down and right away they brought us water to the table. Our waiter came over shortly afterwards to see if we wanted drinks. We ordered a couple glasses of wine and the smoked wings and wedge salad to start. Our wines came out right away and then our wings and salad. It was pretty quick considering they looked pretty busy. Of course the wines were delicious (Zin, Pinot Noir). The salad was pretty basic wedge but good and they made it for two which was good. The wings were cooked perfect, just enough smoke on them, and a little crispy. For our entree we ordered the Ribeye to split between us. The ribeye came out not to much later, it looked good. They also split that for us so that was really nice. The Ribeye was cooked perfect (med rare), a good grill marks on it, great seasoning on it. It came with a herb butter and some kind if dipping sauce as well. Both were really flavorful but the herb butter was the best. Also, the mini baked potato was delicious as well. The steak didn't even need any sauces because the seasoning flavor was already there. For dessert we ordered sticky toffee pudding. It was the best Sticky Toffee pudding I've ever had. I wanted to lick the plate dry. Kiudos. The service was pretty good throughtout the dinner which was nice. I thought they wouldve comped the dessert since it was my girlfriends birthday but they didn't but that's ok.
