I've been to Peets a handful of times now and figured a review was due. This Peets is spacious than other Peets that I have been to in the area. There are plenty of places to sit and work. Wifi is available which is always a plus. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their coffee. On this day, I ordered a peppermint mocha which I happily sipped while I worked. I'll admit I still miss Caribou Coffee but the transition to Peet's has been smooth. Good option for coffee in this area. read more

Good customer service and friendly employees. The coffee is tasty as well. My issue is with the loud, booming music that they blast at 730 in the morning. I get coffee almost everyday, and this is the closest, most convenient location, but I am going to have to start going further to somewhere else. This store was my first Pete's Coffee encounter. I did find the staff pleasant and the coffee, even better. However, there are some things that did bother me a bit, if not more than I wanted it to. The price for the same size of a similar coffee/special lattes are more expensive than Starbucks/other coffee shops. The wifi, as someone have mentioned before, is non-existent. It's been months now since I first step into this particular store and it's still the same. I had to connect to a neighboring store to get the wifi signal that I needed for my laptop. The last thing that bugs me (literally) is the pastry that is laid out in the open air. I saw multiple gnats flying and roaming around one of the pastry that was on display. I don't know if this is a major health issue or not but at some point, someone's have to point this particular problem out, right? read more

Always a good location for working and studying spot for me. I am amazingly productive there even sometimes only for 2 hours. I like the big windows and coffee machine background noise. You will see half of the room has people with their laptops. So definitely having those working atmosphere. People don't talk very loud. Staffs are very friendly. I love the hospitality of the personal in this place starting with Medine, Maddie a friendly and nice cashier's who does a extremely great job at this place. The Managers Samantha and Emily they are very professional in their job. They are so friendly with everyone which is a such a good thing everytime you come here. Very cute shop but wow what a coffee fail. $.70 extra for soy or almond milk. Then the first time they try to make my drink it was freezing cold and it was a hot drink. Then went around another 5 minutes for the next one to hopefully be hot and it's lukewarm. Now I'm waiting for my third coffee in a rush trying to get out of town and no offer of a sorry or its on us but here's your coffee and now it's actually hot. Bought Mango Sunrise tea & Iced Caramel Macchiato w/ almond milk & it was the best! Their Macchiato is just right! Not like Starbucks which is way to sweet for my taste. And the Mango Sunrise is delish! The place is nice & clean & their 2 barista's are friendly. I wish they open up in Woodbridge so I have a place to go other than Starbucks. I'm in here pretty specific times, Tuesday's and Thursday's around 11:30 after class at the near by nova campus. The parking lot is shared with a chipotle and a tropical smoothie but extends into a giant plaza so parking is never an issue for me. I get the same thing every time! Been in here four times a week for about three weeks now. The coffee is good- and I mean good quality. I've worked at a coffee shop for almost 5 years and because I can make and change my own coffee as often as I want (a little more soy, heck a little more vanilla, wait!!! More ice!!! New cup!!) it's kind of hard to order something and ask for it to my specific standards but they haven't really failed me yet! And boy am I'm picky with my coffee. They take my requests without rolling their eyes or cutting me off and they can process modifications pretty quickly so you don't have that awkward moment of a barista type type typing away at the computer screen while you stare around at the containers of coffee beans. I was informed their simple syrup and honey is behind the counter due to theft so if you want either they've got it! But not with the cream and sugar. The first time I went in I was greeted with a very warm "hello welcome to Peet's!" From halfway in the shop. I ordered a medium iced americano with a whooole lot of extra ice, light water, and a splash of soy (the amount of soy I indicated with my fingers because I'd hate to bother them to remake it because I wasn't clear). The first time I ordered it they filled it to the top with water which was a bummer but I drank it anyway and it was still good. The next time it was perfectly made so maybe I just wasn't clear enough or the cashier forgot to memo it in. The girl was nice enough to suggest I get the same drink in a large cup so I wouldn't lose on my excessive amount of ice which is a great idea! I usually forget to ask for the larger cup but whoever may be at the register always suggests it for me which is really helpful. Drinks come out within minutes- no lid or straw so you can add whatever you like without spilling your drink prying the lid off but the lids and straws are right at the pick up counter as well as the sugar station. Espresso is always really balanced, never bitter or burnt or in need of extra cream and sugar. They even convinced me to get the rewards app and my next drink was free! I used it on a large iced caramel macchiato for my boyfriend and I wasn't a fan- it's quite sweet but that's what you would expect from that type of drink. The espresso was strong enough that it didn't just taste like milk, had a nice balance of sweetness and espresso. My boyfriend finished it pretty quickly so it must be appealing to some! read more

I come here before work at least once a week. Everyone is really nice! Brian even remembers me haha. I love that you get $1 off your next purchase every time you take their survey. I love that they have almond milk. When I go to Starbucks, I always get the same caramel macchiato, but it taste like I'm ordering a different drink every single time. But at Peets, it's the same deliciousness! I have a Starbucks reusable cup, and I cross out their logo with a permanent marker and put Peets on it . I'm defiantly a Peets promoter. First time visiting on a Saturday (11/2) and the last. Staff is unresponsive and acting like they are busy. Customers were patient. It was Peet's Coffee not being customer-friendly. The older woman making drinks screamed out orders so loud my ears are still hurting. 100% no need for that. Ridiculous. Customers can hear you- and with that scream - now all over Northern VA. Just stopped by at the new location here in fairfax! The service was great! The young men working there were very polite. I was greeted by the cashier he even offered to give me suggestions on what lattes taste good. I ordered a hot white mocha for my mom and an iced caramel machiado for myself, but here's one the best parts, they have almond milk!!! So I don't like soy milk and I try my best to avoid dairy products and most coffee shops don't have almond milk as an option but peets did! I had not been to Peet's in a long time before today, and after my time spent here earlier, I'll make it a point to make this my coffee shop of choice when I have class or other business in the Fairfax area. I met a mentor here today to discuss networking/career options prior to licensure in the field and while it was busy at 9am, we were still able to have a comfortable table to sit at and a 90 minute conversation without any distractions from fellow patrons. Basically, it was pretty quiet in there, which I appreciate when studying or having serious discussions. The staff was super friendly and made sure to say "Welcome to Peet's" to everyone who walked in the door. I was disappointed they were out of the light roast, but the medium roast was delightful and tasted far more robust than Starbucks (confession: I'm not a fan of Starbucks coffee). They were even sampling portions of a maple sausage, egg, cheese, wrap today. The bite I had was good, and after perusing their menu, I think I'll be stopping back for a breakfast treat in the near future. The only kinda weird thing was the parking situation. Only one row was not 15 minute only parking, so I had to park around the corner and walk to Peet's. Not a big deal but worth mentioning for an FYI. read more

First time here and was recommend to get "the black tie" by a friend. If you ever had Vietnamese iced coffee, this is very similar being that it's made with condensed milk. Way better than Starbucks! The service is amazing, they welcome you warmly as soon as you walk in the door and are super kind and patient. They offer a variety of delicious baked goods and drinks, with some spectacular vegan options (including a coconut whip cream which is to die for). They really take the time to ensure that you get what you ordered and that you are satisfied with what you receive. I've been to a few other Peet's and i wasn't very impressed.. but this one is my favorite hands down. It's the best place to study or get some work done. The floor is very spacious and also very clean..but more importantly there are TONS of outlets. I'm always frustrated when I go somewhere to study and there aren't enough outlets.. but all the tables here are next to, or very close to an outlet..MAJOR POINTS! There's also WI-FI available and two couches for those who like to snuggle in and work. The staff here is really nice and always ready with a smile.. I think I found my new fav study spot! read more

I stopped by here for no apparent reason other than you just don't see many Peet's Coffee places. I wanted to try something different and I am glad that I did! When I walked there were maybe 2 people ahead of me. They didn't know what they wanted or were captivated by the menu. I looked on at them and at the barista. He smiled at me and said that it would only be a moment. Nice guy and actually spoke to me on a humane level of respect. When I ordered he told me that the baked goods were a dollar off I think. I choose the banana nut bread and the Havana cappuccino. The bread was good but I wish they had offered to heat it up. I would I have liked that. The coffee came and I sweetened it just a tad because that's just how I like it. At first I thought there was too much foam but no, it was fine and on point. I wouldn't have changed a thing (other than adding my own sweetener). The place was kinda busy but it was still open in my opinion and the table I sat at was clean.
