Hingham has a few decent pizza places, but Peel offers something totally different. Exotic, interesting, creative styles....baked wings with buffalo sauce are awesome!!!! The guy there in the front is really nice and we are lucky to have this place. If you like great standard pizza, Crowe Point or Sub Galley offers more traditional pizza. Peel is a step up in quality, freshness and interesting options. I suppose check their menu on line and you'll see what I mean. Totally love the Kickin' Chicken Pesto pizza!! So basically, the former Hingham Square Upper Crust got a name change and some friendlier staff and that's about it. Not that I mind. Business practices aside, Upper Crust pizza was decent (on a good day). This pizza is also decent. We've tried the cheese, pepperoni and a couple of different slices of the day. It's not cheap, but as slices go, they're a good size. I'm glad to have a pizza place back in the square and I'll be back, often I'm sure. Though, this place still has not satisfied my desire for excellent pizza on the South Shore. I don't want greasy sub shop Greek pizza and I don't want overpriced flatbread/cracker crust type of pizza. I want good, New York style pizza with a crispy AND chewy crust, with a good amount of quality ingredients, most importantly - cheese! read more

Not gonna lie, this is one of the best pizzas I've had. Definitely in the top 5. The crust is a work of art, it is so thin yet holds up the toppings so well. Speaking of toppings, these guys have very creative combinations. The sauce has perfect balance between tart and sweet. Well, I've found my favorite pizza shop. The pizza here will run you about $17 for a small (which has eight slices - plenty for two people) to about $22 for a large. But considering the large size of the pizzas, the prices aren't bad. But the main reason this is now my favorite pizza shop is that everytime I've gone here, the pizzas are just so delicious! I really love their pizzas! In addition to having a large assortment of specialty red pizzas, they also have the largest assortment of specialty white pizzas I've ever seen in a pizza shop or parlor. Their pizza is thin crust with a rich flavor from the sauces they use. Go to their website a full menu. Peel Pizza makes a really tasty lasagna,and I'd highly recommend trying it. Depending on what kind you get, it will run you about $7 - $10, but it's large enough for two or three people, so it's worth it. And finally, the service here is very good. At least so far, there are no stuck up teenaged girls with attitudes working here. I've only seen two young men working here who engage the customers, and really show an interest in running the business and making sure you're happy. At least one of them is probably the owner, if not both. All my friends who I've taken here love this place. I'd highly recommend this pizza shop. You won't be disappointed. read more

We ordered dinner from Peel a few nights ago. We shared the chicken wings, which were delicious and perfectly cooked. We had 2 pizzas. The one with smoked mozzarella and prosciutto had room much chunky tomato on it; the flavor was fine but the texture not quite right. The second pizza was the Luau, which was quite good notwithstanding the pineapple. Also had a Cesar salad, which was a little heavy on the dressing. This pizza is unreal! Quality ingredients and light dough is what makes this pizza a step above. Finally there is a good pizza place in Milton unlike all the others before Peel (most of which occupied the same space in the square). I was not expecting it to be as good as it was especially since they have been slammed since opening. We got the smoked mozz and sausage, going to try a different one every time as the whole menu looks amazing. Keep up the good work and welcome to the best town south of Boston. read more

Peel is the most expensive pizza in town by far, yet regularly messes up my order. The wait is also well above average. Tonight I used their text to order option so that I could hopefully avoid some human error usually caused by the person taking orders over the phone at Peel. I specified twice in my text my special request (no cheese) - I even spelled it out in ALL CAPS the second time. Sure enough when I arrived they had my order wrong. I know "no cheese" is a bit odd but this is a boutique pizza shop and charging top price- I would think they would be doing some quality assurance. I never see anyone that appears to be an owner or even a manager type in the place when I go in and there was certainly no one on staff that seemed very sorry for the mistake. Almost everywhere else I have gone and a mistake has been made, the management offers sincere apologies, and or perhaps a side salad or sometimes even offers to take the pizza off the bill or at the very least offers to have me take the mistaken order home to others. I've given Peel one too many chances and won't be going back. The pizza is good quality but the repeated mistakes and the lack of customer service commensurate with the price point have me turned off for good. Advice to owner: ensure someone who clearly demonstrates management abilities and customer service expertise on each shift. read more

After recommending this place to everyone and ordering numerous times, I am done after waiting an hour and forty-five minutes for my pizza and salad. I have never had to call and inquire about an order until tonight. I was told they were just waiting for the delivery guy to come back and pick up my order... which would have meant another 20-30 minutes. Pass! Cancelled the order. I just moved to town today and was exhausted and needed delivery... read reviews and liked what I saw on menu and was definitely not disappointed... wings were different but I really liked them... high quality and a meal in itself... I will definitely order them again! The specialty pizzas are really tasty -- thin crust, fresh, and healthy. This pizza doesn't taste "greasy" at all -- it's very light!

The pizza was wonderful. However I ordered the barbecue chicken and there were actually one or two pieces of chicken on each slice. I do not want to discount the delicious pizza just wish there were more pieces of chicken. My wife ordered the pepperoni & sausage and this was loaded with toppings. If this place were any other location than Hingham square it would've been out of business a long time ago. The manager goes out of his way to be rude and confrontational - I actually think he enjoys it. Ordered 3 pizzas and was told 25-30 minutes. After 2 hours and 45 minutes they were done, only to discover that 2 of the 3 were wrong. Was offered a crappy draft beer while I waited for round two, no thanks. Went here for the first time recently and bought a small margherita pizza that was shared among 3 people for lunch - it was DELICIOUS. Sure there are a handful of shops around the city that are above average, but we've struggled to find a good quality pizza on the south shore. Not looking for anything fancy, over the top with crazy ingredients and "experimental" recipes - just a simple, thin crust pizza, baked to perfection with good, fresh, quality ingredients. Well, after living on the south shore for more than 12 years and trying almost every pizza shop, I can confidently say that Peel Pizza is the best shop around. We've ordered from here a handful of times and have yet to be disappointed. Even with leftovers; pop it in the toaster oven and toast for a couple of minutes, and just as good as from the box! read more

We were all too tired to cook. Decided on take-out. Peel Pizza. We have had their pizza a few times already and it has really "hit the spot". We created our own based on the list of ingredients. One roasted red pepper, blackened chicken, garlic and corn and the other was bacon, potato, caramelized onion and corn. I was in the mood for a salad and decided to try some skillet chicken wings. The word that came to mind when we started eating was "OUTSTANDING"! The salad was cold and crisp with fresh greens , caramelized onion, bacon and Gorgonzola. Delish! The chicken wings were everything one could hope for. The fall-off-the bone tender meat was packed with flavor. I did not use any sauce. Straight up and totally satisfying. The pizza was perfection. We had enough left for lunch the next day. The quality of product and the care with which the food is prepared shows a true understanding and love of food. Thank you, thank you! So disappointing. Tried Peel for the first time. Ordered a pizza which was ready in 15 minutes. Despite being the only customers, they had to be reminded we ordered a salad as well as they handed us our pizza to go. Got home in ten minutes and the paper thin pizza was already cold. It actually was so thin it fell apart in areas so it was no surprise it didn't stay warm. We heard good things but it will be a hard sell to go back. read more

I can't believe this is suppose to be the best pizza on the south shore. Was it only family members and business partners voting . I got a pizza from the East Milton store and it was horrible. It was like having a saltine cracker with a little sauce and cheese . The sauce was only on the outside third of the pie and one half was cooked alright and the other half was burnt . I will not be going back . I was told it would be a half hour before it was ready and when I went in after twenty minutes the pizza was already done and just sitting there . I felt that this super thin crust pizza with Boston (or above) prices did not meet up to the superduper deliciousness of the Boston locals we refrequent.
