Our business didn't seem appreciated. There was no thank you. We bought something. They couldn't come for 4 days to measure and make sure it would fit. It's now been two days since then and no one has reached out about delivery. We called yesterday and were told that since our salesperson was off, no one could help us. In fact, his grandson was wheeling in a washer when we were there and asking grandpa where to place it. PRODUCT They have a good selection of brand name appliances. Choose basic functionality, energy efficient, and/or luxury appliances. SERVICE AND KNOWLEDGE This family run business cares about giving top notch, personalized service. Seriously, it was so refreshing. They understand the products they are selling, give honest feedback, and take all the time with you that you need. Big box stores and online purchases will not go to bat for you and your family like a locally run business. Our vision blurred and our eyes crossed from an overload of information about refrigerators - if it wasn't for their help, we would still be looking at one gray fridge after another with a glazed expression. DELIVERY Pearson's work ethic and level of service continues during delivery. I learned that all of their delivery guys are employed by Pearson's. They handled the appliance and our surroundings professionally and with care. They were personable and it was a pleasure to welcome them into our home. They even installed the ice maker as a courtesy for us, which was not included. CONCLUSION I cannot say enough how refreshing it is to find a business that actually cares, can hold a conversation, and give excellent, knowledgeable service. It lifts my spirits. We planned a kitchen remodel to include new appliances. The project was due to begin last Oct. We ordered the replacement appliances in Sept to ensure that they would be available on time. The process went smoothly in the beginning as Jeff, our rep, offered to store the appliances for 90 days while our kitchen remodel began. We ordered Bosch brand appliances and we were not given any reason for future glitches. However, when the time came for the new appliances to be installed the stove we ordered had not arrived. We were not told of this delay. Jeff repeatedly told us that the delay was a short one. After weeks of having no stove, my husband called Jeff for an update. We were gas-lit over and over again. Eventually Jeff stopped all communication with us. We had to call anyone at that location for help. The same story happened again. After not having a stove for the holidays, we decided in January 2026 to cancel our order and purchased a stove from Home Depot. It arrived on time with no hassle. My husband contacted Pearson's to inform them of the change and to cancel our order. They were instructed to refund our purchase cost. After about 2 weeks, our refund had not been accomplished. It was only when my husband told them of our intent to bring in an attorney that our refund suddenly appeared. After this experience, my advice is to never do business with this store. Jeff was the typical friendly salesman at first, but turned out to be cowardly in his avoidance to contact us or to return our queries. This is very poor business practice. I went back some months later for a few more things and worked with Jeff who was great. I really appreciated being able to actually speak to someone knowledgeable (which you don't often get at the big box stores) and they treated me very fairly. So disappointed. no effort to make my experience a more positive one. Little adjustments or suggestions were not offered. I ordered white as opposed to stainless steel which is harder to find but not impossible. No one told me an installation kit for my dishwasher was needed to fit better into the space and had to be purchased before installation since it doesn't come with white only stainless steel models. Nobody came out to measure to confirm the right fit for my refrigerator since it was being installed in an older kitchen. I had the old manual with me at the time of purchase and Pat knew exactly what refrigerator I had. My new refrigerator ended up being three inches too tall and they suggested I cut the cabinet. GE does not make the size I needed so I had to order a different brand and had wanted everything to be the same. I suppose I could have returned everything and started over but I didn't have the time or the patience nor was I encouraged to do so. Pat has been in the business for a long time and I was expecting a lot more of his expertise in guidance of the brands, their features as well as overall quality than what I received. Especially since not all models are on the showroom floor. It's not like we buy appliances every year, so a lot of changes happen in 15+ years and that expert customer service was never shown to me. The installers were great a little too fast because I would like to have inspected the appliances more closely before they were installed, but that turned out alright. Do not purchase anything from this business. We purchased a new dishwasher from here the beginning of Nov 2022. We decided to have them install the unit since the price included delivery and haul away of the old machine. Fast forward 4 weeks to the end of November. I'm working on replacing a cabinet hinge under the sink and I notice moisture in the grout lines on the kitchen floor. I started trying to find the source, which I did. The hot hose fitting coming off the shutoff valve at the wall going to the dishwasher was leaking. It was a steady drip every 2 seconds. I tightened this up nearly 2 turns and the leak stopped....yes, this is what I paid for, a "professional" installation. 4 weeks of a drip every 2 seconds 24/7, that's a lot of water. The kitchen floor is now ruined. The ceiling drywall in the basement is ruined. Pearson's sent their install team out today to survey the damage. They actually said it was all wet, just as it looks today, on the day they installed the dishwasher because of a faulty valve. I know that's not true because I used my shop vac to clean the area while they were bringing the new unit in. And, why would professional installers put a unit in over a soaking wet floor?!?! That's something that is brought to the homeowner's attention immediately and the install put on hold. Save yourself from grief and frustration and take your money elsewhere. Zero stars is a more appropriate review. However, 5 stars for substandard work. read more

I wish I would have read the more recent reviews for Pearson's Appliance before purchasing 5 appliances from them. I usually read Yelp for just this reason but as others have said we try to give local businesses our money . We purchased a washer/dryer, stove, fridge and dishwasher 9/08/20. We currently have only the washer and dryer. We bought warranties for all 5 appliances which was a smart move . The dryer has been defective since it arrived and luckily Pat Pearson replaced it with a brand new one . I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Now onto the rest. We hope to gave the dishwasher installed tomorrow. Fingers crossed . I was told by Me Pearson that he still doesn't have our refrigerator. Our stove/oven was checked at the warehouse and found to have the 2 glass panels (dbl oven ) shattered and the piece is unusable. How did that happen ? Anyone taking responsibility for this incident . We've been using a small dorm sized fridge which has been a lifesaver but we're more than anxious to have a working kitchen again . The bottom line is that we're living in a hectic state and a don't give a crap mentality. I hate to sound cynical but I'm living with it ! Lost my trust & confidence. *9-9-20 ordered & paid for Bosch dishwasher. A $1,112 purchase. *10-15-20 received a call to confirm 10-16 delivery & install appointment. *10-16-20 received call canceling delivery told me dishwasher was in Oakland CA warehouse but their computer system was broken & could not be delivered. New deliver date is now 10-23. *10-23-20 Received call to cancel 2nd appointment again. Same story about it being in Oakland & computer system still broken & can't release it for delivery. Told them I no longer believe it's in Oakland & don't believe computer system is still down after all this time. I said you're telling me there's a dishwasher in Oakland with my name on it & it's been delivered there & sitting in Oakland but can't be delivered to me bc computer system is still broken. Store Rep said "yes" he has shipping confirmation. Told him I didn't believe it's In Oakland. He said it is there. Rescheduled a 3rd delivery date of 10-28. Told him I will be angry if they call & cancel again with the same story. *10-28-20 (3rd appointment) I didn't receive a call confirming today's install, So I called store at 9am to see what's up. Said they would get back to me. So 2+ hrs later they call back & say they don't know where dishwasher is. Same store Rep says he's contacted his Bosch Rep to see where it is.. He claims that they told him for 2 weeks that's it's been delivered & received in Oakland warehouse & couldn't be released due to computer system being down. Turns out that Oakland story was bogus. Just like I thought. Maybe tomorrow someone will know what's going on. Follow up on my previous feedback regarding the 5 GE appliances we purchased from Pearson's. The clothes dryer was finally replaced as it never worked properly after repeated service visits. Now 2 years of struggling with it's counter part GE high profile washer am convinced this appliance also needs to be replaced. How much money did I spend ???? It is completely incapable of spinning the clothes to dry no matter how carefully you fill the load. And why should I perform an Algebra equation in order to wash a load of clothes, towels or bed sheets ! We've purchased from Pearson's in the past with satisfactory results. This time, when our refrigerator died, we went to the Napa store to purchase. The salesmen convinced us the GE model gts21fgkeww they had on sale had better service available and was a better value, so we took their advice and bought it. Unfortunately, the GE turned out to be VERY noisy to the point of thinking it was defective. I called our salesman twice only to be told that the GE service representative would be contacting us to set up an appointment. He/she never called. A month or two later Covid arrived and we are stuck with an expensive piece of sht that makes ungodly noises at all hours when it runs. This was a definite FAIL on Pearson's part. We ordered a new refrigerator from them about 3 weeks ago. Was told we would have it on the 20th. It didn't arrive and we were told that the warehouse hadn't received it due to the Coronavirus. Ok... we can wait a little. Had to call numerous times for updates. Each time Pearson's dangled a carrot in front of us saying it is coming soon. Fast forward to the scheduled delivery day (today) and we get the bad news phone call that it arrived at the warehouse but unfortunately it is damaged and they can no longer get the same model. Basically I'm calling BS on this as I feel they could never get it to begin with and wished they would've been honest from the get go! I'm so infuriated with them and their lack of customer service. Had they just stated from the beginning how difficult it would be for an appliance store to... sell us and get an appliance, well they could've saved us 3 weeks of headache. Super disappointed. We recently had to buy a new stove. Although I'm not completely against the big box stores I did want to check here first. We were helped immediately when we came in by a very nice man, Joe. Told him what we were replacing and that we'd like to get something similar. He found us the same stove but did caution us that it didn't mean it was available. We went ahead and purchased it and he was to call and confirm it was available, which he did. He again called when it was "on the truck" to the store, and again when they actually received it. They called to confirm the installation date, called to remind us if the date, and again when the installers were 15 minutes out. Two very nice men came in, took our old broken one away, and installed the new one. Checked to make sure everything worked and answered any questions I had. All in all the process from the time we walked into the store until the installers left was one of the best delivery situations I've ever been in. Timely, friendly and the communication was spot on! Never buy from them! They may have what you want, but believe me if there is a problem, you are on your own! When a brand new dishwasher failed after 6 months of use, they gave me the warranty number, after another 3 months of no dishwasher and no end in sight, I asked Pearsons to intervene. They got a refund from the manufacturer (didn't tell me that!) tried to replace it with two scratch and dents which I refused, and refused to refund me! I had to take it to the manufacturers HQ to get a refund. DO NOT SHOP here! So much for buying local! Horrible experience! read more

I wanted a slide in range really bad but was told by him those were only for an island situation so I believed him and settled for a range I really didn't want. Very poor customer service!! Walked into the Napa store this week (wearing my mask). Walked around the store looking at stove/oven range. A couple of employees were n the store, I was the only customer in the store at that time. Waited about 15-20 minutes to see if one of the worker would inquire if I needed some assistance, but no, they were too busy talking to each other. Eventually I asked if they worked there and if they could assist the customer. The gentleman said "oh" i asked him about the stove/oven range and how much i was willing to spend. At that point he was overly friendly and catering to the customer and asked when i would like the appliance delivered. Wish I had read these reviews before going to Pearsons. They installed the wrong dishwasher and so had to come back out and install the correct one (the two models were very similar - 1st one was $300 more). Second installer failed to turn off the water main and so my kitchen floor (wood) is now warped. Pearsons recently let me know that they don't really think it's their fault. In addition, the GE hood they installed failed after 3 days. When I called them for help, they sent someone out to look. When the person showed up, he said, "Oh, I don't know anything about these," and left. I called to ask for someone else and was told, "Per your contract with us, you need to call GE." So, I now have a warped kitchen floor and a hood that hasn't worked for a month. These guys are the worst. read more

I purchased a Kitchen Aid dishwasher from Pearson, $ 200 less than Lowes The price was $849, plus $108 tax, plus $29.00 for install kit, plus $199.00 for install and haul away, total $1173.00.The installer showed up and said it would be another $150.00 because we had a corner dishwashe. We were never informed of this from the salesman. our $849.00 dishwasher now cost $1327.00. We we're blindsided by this. When my almost 19-year-old Whirlpool dishwasher started leaking I wanted to do the right thing and purchase a new one from a small local business, Pearson's Appliance in Napa, instead of a national big box chain. However, it became yet another shining example of "no good deed goes unpunished." Like what Margie M. said in her review, I was strung along, too... in my case over the span of one month. *03-02-2021 Was informed the model I desired, the Bosch Ascenta, was available in the color I wanted with an installation date of 03-17. (Another model I was considering in the color I wanted was temporarily unavailable.) *03-16-2021 Had not heard from Pearson's confirming the next day's installation so I called +/- 4:30p to confirm. Was told by a salesman (not my original one) that my installation was scheduled for the next day between 10-12. *03-17-2021 Received call from the installer right before the installation window informing me the dishwasher was not delivered to the warehouse. I called Pearson's and was told only my salesman can answer any questions. However, he was off that day. I asked the saleswoman to please give him a call so I can be told what happened and I was informed that "We don't have his phone number.", and was told he'll be in the next day. I then requested for my original salesman to give my a call the next morning. By noon I had not heard from my salesman so I went down in person. My salesman apologized and said the manifest showed it had been delivered to the warehouse so he doesn't understand what happened. He checked and said the dishwasher will be arriving at the warehouse on 03-30 so it could be installed the next day, but there may be a "silver lining" in that he's getting three on 03-26 and perhaps I could get one sooner. *03-30-2120 Did not hear from my salesman on 03-26 so I called him on 03-30 to inquire about the new installation date for the following day. I was informed that the dishwasher on the manifest to be delivered to the warehouse on 04-02 and the new installation date will be 04-03. In apology, he told me I'll be the first installation of the day. I asked him to please call me the day before to confirm the installation. *04-02-2021 My Pe4arson's salesman called and said the dishwasher was not delivered. I then went on line of a national big box chain and found they were also out-of-stock with the Ascenta, but the other model I had considered previously was in stock, so I purchased the unit with a scheduled install date of 04-07. On the way home I stopped by Pearson's and had my purchase refunded by my now ex-salesman. Actually is quite the pity as not only do I have my residence here, but I also have 4 rental units. Pearson's will no longer be considered when replacing the appliances in any of my properties. read more

The store was clean, bright, and well stocked with items ranging from bare bones to gourmet top of the line. Pat handled the business part of the equation in a friendly, helpful, and professional manor. When the items were delivered, the two young men were clean and professional in every way. I have moved to the Napa Valley recently and was told to buy "local." I did just that, purchasing a new Boesch refrigerator from Pearson's Appliance. From the onset of delivery, the refrigerator did not work properly. The installers did not level it. Discovered a bit later it did not work at all. Another call, another couple of days wait.... Got it running, but was very uneasy and asked for a different refrigerator. That fell on deaf ears. Reported a small dent in the outside door. That also fell on deaf ears. It's been running a few months now, all of a sudden the refrigerator handle came off. Called them again. They were to come out in a couple of days. The following day (before the Ferguson repair folks came here) my entire system for the water/ice dispenser went out. I thought that could be fixed at the same time that the door handle would be reattached. When the repair personnel arrived, the did reattach the handle, but told me I had to talk to my sales person regarding water/ice unit. I immediately called, was told by (not sure of spelling) Quinell (my sales person), told him the story. He told me I had to call Boesch directly. They did not take care of this. I said I didn't purchase the refrigerator from Boesch, I purchased it from Ferguson and for them to please make arrangements to get it fixed. I was told by Quinell that I was hostile toward him and he didn't have to listen to me. I pointed out that I might have been firm, but certainly never used unappropriate language or even raised my voice. He proceeded to hang up on me. I subsequently called Boesch, and I won't even go into that fiasco. Needless to say, I called my own repair person, paid for the service call myself and for now my refrigerator is working. Should've read the reviews first. Have been going to this appliance site for years. Was a very good reputable and reliable business. But I wouldn't anymore. Wanted for an extensive amount of time and still don't have my dryer. They have gave me several drivers days in which none have been successful. They had never called me I always had to call them to get information. They where very vague with the information they did give out. Worse experience I've had with a business in awhile. Not to mention the previous appliances that I've bought from them, the handles & trim pieces have fallen off. This is not the old Harbison's store where customer service and quality appliances were paramount. They do have some quality appliances at inflated prices but they are also willing to steer you to appliances that have poor reviews and that break within a few months. Installation was poorly done and took a long time. If you go here do your research and don't expect much follow up service. If I could give 0, I would. The initial buying experience was great. Friendly and willing to compete with big store pricing. Unfortunately once my refrigerator arrived, it had a dent in the door. They said a new door would be sent out to us in 6-8 weeks. That was 4 months ago. I've been the one having to call kitchenaid and the repair company to try to track it down. Pearsons won't even return phone calls. When you spend that much money on a fridge and it's damaged, you would think they would have just replaced it since they are unable to get the door sent out but you can get a whole fridge within a week, but instead I'm waiting for what I'm not told is the middle of October for a door. read more

BEWARE! Pearson's does not stand behind the appliances they sell. They have no refund policy, nor do they have an exchange policy. According to the Bureau of Electronics & Appliance Issue Repair of the state of California I have a legitimate complaint as there exists an implied warranty of use that new appliances are not lemons and that they function properly. Within 30 days of purchase of my Maytag washer/dryer set, 3 repair service calls later, I now own a repaired new washer (the washer has been out of service 1/3rd of my ownership!). Not happy, will not shop local again. In this frustrating experience with Pearson's turning a "deaf ear" I have learned that chain stores stand behind their merchandise and have customer satisfaction their priority. read more
