I was on my way to WI from Indianapolis when my husband called to tell me I left my overnight bag at home. By that point, I was almost to Chicago (over 3 hours from home) and I had to be somewhere at a certain time for a paid weekend opportunity taking photos of murals in their town. My vision is terrible. And my contacts are supposed to be changed daily. I didn't even have my glasses. I left on a Friday and wouldn't be back until Sunday and usually after more than a day or wear, the contacts start to break down. I absolutely cannot see without them or my glasses and I was traveling alone. I happened by this spot while getting gas and popped in to see if by some chance they might have samples in my prescription and they did!!! They seriously saved me so much anxiety over the weekend and now I have several pairs to get me through if I need them. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Their prices are so high that even if you have insurance coverage you'd still pay as if you don't have insurance. And if you don't have insurance, forget about it. I will give you a specific example. Their frame with Prada brand model PR A 13V is priced at over 600 usd, while online with exact same model and brand it's only 200 usd +. Same with their lens. The cost outside with insurance is same cost with them with insurance. If you ever decide to buy from them look it up first online like from glassesusa.com or other online sites. Hope this saves you some money

Since that probably didn't happen, let me give you a real assessment. I was a patient of Dr. Alongi for years. Good guy, University of IL grad, and fun to talk to. He retired, smart move, get over it. Dr. Kovacs is FANTASTIC! She has a great manor, is very thorough and knows her stuff. She is great and following Dr. Alongi, is in a challenging place. But she performs great. I don't know if a "Five" or a "Four" but split hairs and rate the a "4.5".

I normally go to the Dilleys Road location but accidentally made this appt. I thought well no worries it's the same company should be good to go.The exam went well and was told I would be notified when my lenses were ready. I picked up my lenses on the 16th. They took my frames they issued me a year ago, put in the new lenses and that was it. I expected them to maybe at least take a look and ensure they were sitting on my face correctly as the Dilleys Road staff did last time? Nope. A few days later I had to return to the Tri State office to have them adjusted as they were were resting on my cheeks causing discomfort and my family and friend's were noticing they were crooked on my face now. The staff stated they had to re-wire them. Couple of days after that one of the lenses just fell out! I called the Tri-State office again and spoke with Mary. She told me to try to come in that day, which was a Thursday, because Friday they would be very busy and I would have to wait. You would think an already existing customer having already paid and still experiencing issues, especially with a lens falling out, would take priority? I only had two choices call my husband so he could take time off of work to drive me or find my old pair of glasses I had that MyEyeDoctor issued me a couple years earlier. Thank goodness I found my old glasses! I drove in to Tri State office again and Mary repaired them. We'll today, the 27th, my scarf got snagged by my glasses. When I took a look I see that there is a piece of the line that holds/supports the glasses sticking out in more than one place now. Also the line and the glasses are not laying flat in the frames! After $254 I paid and the $1126.00 that my insurance paid you would think I would have a reliable pair of glasses to wear. I don't.

Standard eye exams, and testing along with a corrective eyewear room to shop from and try on/select products. We recently brought our son for his school exam and the doctor was great about explaining what was happening and going slowly through the process. He ended up needing glasses and there was a great selection of kids frames available for him to try on and select from. My one negative is that there is one woman in the eyewear room that almost seems bothered to be there and to be helping. But if you can avoid her, you'll likely have a great experience.

Despite being very busy, the front desk staff are incredibly kind and efficient. I showed up early for my appointment time and was taken back almost immediately to take pictures of my eyes and all of the other quick procedures I don't know the names of. The new doctor they have on staff is so sweet and welcoming. She answered all of my questions and laughed with me when I thought I nailed the vision test (I did not nail the test, lol). Not once did I feel rushed or like I was wasting time. I'm so sad to be moving in the next year because I will greatly miss this place! I've read some of the other reviews, and they don't match my experience at all. It may be because of my age, but I know what it's like to work in the service industry; having someone stomp around your office demanding free services or waiving fees always ends with a threat of a nasty review on yelp, lol. Please be kind to the people who often deal with poorly behaved-adults. Anywho, I really enjoy this place and the staff that work there!

They have a good selection of some off brands and also Ray Bans, DKNY, Michael Kors, etc. they don't really carry the luxury brands like Gucci, or Versace so if you are looking for those you won't find them here.
