I only take the time to write a review when a business or staff member goes above and beyond with their customer service and everyone at My Eye Xpert met that expectation and then some! The staff truly does put the customer first and really appreciates our business demonstrated by their actions; therefore, when I received service of this caliber, I show my appreciation by writing a well-deserved review! During this unusual time in history with the Covid-19 pandemic I walked into the My Eye Xpert Office in Gurnee IL for another routine eye exam and I was greeted by warm greetings by Amanda who proceeds to ask me to wash my hands for safety then guide me to massage chairs to enjoy while I await next steps. I am pleasantly surprised and enjoy the wonderful massage for about 15 minutes then I am kindly greeted by Mike who proceeds to complete the pre-tests before I meet with Dr. Jeff. Mike explains each procedure and is very professional and polite as he guides me through each step of each test he performs. Afterwards he leads me back to the massage chairs for a short wait before I am introduced to Dr. Jeff . Of course, I am very happy to enjoy another mini massage, so I happily oblige and enjoy the massage chairs again! Next Dr. Jeff escorts me to the eye exam room where I proceed to get my eye exam. Dr. Jeff is truly a qualified and professional ophthalmologist! Not only does he go through the routine eye tests but he's also extremely personable and very easy to talk to, which is helpful because he thoroughly explains the results of the eye exam in clear in concise manner that's very easy to understand. Dr. Jeff explained the adjustments in my prescription were made to both my contacts and eyeglasses to ensure I understood the changes were made for my good for now and going forward. Clearly, he is highly qualified and knows his field well! After my comprehensive eye exam Dr. Jeff gave me trial contacts to wear home and asked Amanda to help me pick out glasses. I was the last appointment of the day (my appointment was at 6pm) and Amanda patiently helped me pick out not one (1) but two (2) frames even though her shift was over for the day! I never felt rushed to hurry up and pick out my glasses so she can leave and go home in fact she told me to take my time and understood picking out glasses is an important decision! Her patience is undeniable and her customer service is incomparable! In essence, I highly recommend My Eye Xpert in Gurnee IL to anyone looking for a comprehensive eye exam during and post Covid-19 pandemic! The entire staff is AMAZING, customer-focused, helpful, personable, knowledgeable, professional, etc. and they have extremely stylish frames. Check out my selfie of the Elton John frames! I've been shopping this mall for years and it's a mixed experience for sure. It's painfully large for one thing, you need to plan ahead. If you think you want to just walk around the mall to shop... wear good shoes because it's a trek. I recommend driving to different sections to take some of the burden off yourself. Selection varies constantly. They keep a few outlet stores I like but a lot of stores I enjoyed simply came and went. There are more high priced shirt stores than any one mall needs, I'll say that. Service varies by store so quite a bit. I like the vans store, always helpful staff in there. This mall still has a rainforest cafe! Pure nostalgia and a good place to take kids. There's really plenty to eat here, and plenty to eat adjacent as well. They've got some movie screens and though they aren't the cleanest they do get some fun exclusive events too. This mall has its ups and downs for sure. It can be kind of magical to shop here during holiday time but the rest of the year you definitely should have a specific destination in mind.

Instead of acknowledging the mistake or working with me to resolve it, I was repeatedly ignored and made to feel as though the problem was my fault. Despite paying $1,775, a 2nd appointment with them and again was ignored.. until I had to leave and my calls for assistance were not returned. The manager, Lana, failed to follow up after several requests, and when I called again, I was abruptly hung up on. I have since contacted the Better Business Bureau and Pearle Vision Headquarters, as I need my funds to go somewhere else for prescription glasses... How HORRIBLE is that !!! This experience has been both frustrating and disappointing. I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere, where professionalism and customer care are a priority.

I did not realize how difficult it would be. Before when you would get glasses. You were near-sighted or far-sighted. I know that people with poor vision must have it more complicated. My last examination was a 1.25 prescription, which still worked for me. Since I had not had an eye exam in years. I wanted to update the glasses. I asked what this prescription was, 2.50. WHAAAAT? I cannot even see in lenses above 1.75. I know, I am not an optometrist and understand all the complications that come with vision. The girl who attended to me explained that vision changes depending how far or near you are in front of a computer, phone, tv or reading a book? HUH? Well, near sighted or far sighted. She then stated she could explain optics to me. To which she did explain a little. Just want to wear same glasses for reading without struggling. Did I mention that both my husband and I, had exactly the same diagnosis and prescription level? Whereas before, completely different. Just want to believe that we are cared for and diagnosed properly. My husband also had to bring back the glasses due to the prescription being too high. He could not see anything with 2.25 Lense. Had blurred vision, headaches and nausea. Wearing a 2.50 prescription when I see fairly well with a 1.25 can and will, damage my vision. I do not need to be an optometrist to know this. Also, I had a $300 Insurance coverage for lenses & the exam was free. I also needed the sv blue light lenses. Still had to pay out of pocket. Was not a whole lot but $330 for reading glasses is a lot. I cannot complain about the customer service of the individuals working here. All were nice and I was greeted when I entered America's Best in Gurnee. I will say that I felt as if the young lady who attended me, might've thought I was trying to be difficult. I called ABT and spoke with Lou (his direct # 847-954-4140). I did some research before I called and liked the Samsung 55." 4K NEO QLED, originally $1,297.99, on sale for $897.99. Lou stated, "They had a sale starting tomorrow (Saturday) and that he could sell it to me for $651.00." Great! Lou said he could have it delivered next Tuesday. I explained my mother's situation and asked if it could be delivered tomorrow, on Saturday. Lou said, "I'll make it happen." Now that is exceptional customer service! Josh Hoffman was the technician who delivered and set up my mother's new Samsung TV. Josh programmed the Xfinity remote to the new TV, and my mother accidentally hit something that made the TV verbally announce everything she did. Josh asked if she wanted that, and my mother said no. Josh was quick-witted and a comedian; he had my mother laughing. You certainly can tell when an employee loves their job!
