I can see clearly this is a good eyeglasses provider. But the elusive 5 star is a bit out of focus to me due to some mind-boggling delivery problems. There is a wonderful optician next door (Georgetown Vision Center) and friendly folks in Pearle Vision are ready to help you as soon as you walk inside. The selection is very good and the prices are okay. Some frames, of course are ridiculously designer pricey. The measuring for fitting is highly professional and accurate. And then, you wait. They tell you upfront there is up to a two week wait. In an era of next day delivery, it seems a bit long of a wait time, but okay. But, I waited longer. I didn't hear from Pearle, so I phoned them. I was told the glasses had come in days earlier. BUT, the lenses had a flaw and were sent back to the manufacturer. I'm torn here. Great they did quality control on the site. Not so great there was neither 1) Communication with me nor 2) Poor manufacturing despite the time allowed with no quality control at the source. Once delivered properly, the fitting was quick and the final product good. But at what cost? Time is money. They had my money and took their time. Would I go there again? Maybe. But not if I was in hurry for the product. read more

Dr Birkmann and team were very helpful. I was able to get a very quick appointment after I didn't pass a recent vision test. I've never worn glasses or contacts before, so I had lots of questions! I had another great experience! Unlike last time I was in, you don't have to make an appointment to come in to pick out glasses. Also, no masks are needed (which is easier to pick out glasses). I was greeted nicely by all 3 ladies working. Then, I was approached by Michelle, who asked if had been here before. I have her my insurance card and also my vision prescription. She worked on that while I was picking out a new pair of sunglasses. When I was finished, she helped me pick one of the three remaining I had narrowed it down to. She walked me thru all the price points on what my insurance covered and my costs. She was such a pleasure to work with. I can't wait to pick up my new glasses. read more

Jody was very helpful in helping me find the exact frames she had before and the process was easy enough to complete over the phone to get a duplicate pair. The staff are very courteous and professional, and the office runs pretty efficiently. I was in for an eye appointment and was able to buy contacts and glasses in about an hour. Glasses are made fast (mine only took two days) and the staff in that section of the office are quite friendly. They usually have sales on frames so the pricing isn't too terrible. I'm just not meant to have nice things. I splurged on a pair of Prada glasses years ago at the Pearle Vision in south Austin. Now, I never intended to wear these in public, as I still have the 6th grade mentality of "I look like a dork when I wear glasses", though I think nearly most other people look rad in them. These were just a pair of, "Hopefully my man will think I'm cute in these while I wear them for 20 minutes a night before bed" glasses, so I wanted to be as stylish as possible. $400 and six years later, here I am--with badly misshapen but somehow still intact glasses after being sat on (and rather forcefully, might I add). I figured I'd have to bite the bullet and shell out another week's paycheck and buy another pair, though I intend to get lasik very soon. I took my sad, pathetic little pair of glasses to this store, and the girl tried very hard not to laugh while she happily faced the challenge of making them look like normal again. And wouldn't you know, she and her miracle worker ways were successful...without a penny out of my pocket (or my checking account, as I rarely pay with pennies and rather my debit card), and I was on my way. My story: My eyes have become so near sighted that when they're corrected, i can't read through the lenses. So I need bifocals...was wearing mono vision contacts. Well Dr. Birkmann introduced me to multi focal contacts! Ordered me a free pair. I picked them up, loved them. Called, ordered a year supply. My right eye is always a special order due to astigmatism. So they took a longer time than normal- a few weeks, not Pearle Vision's fault. But they gave me a second pair of trials to get me through. For the Pearle Vision in Georgetown (Wolf Ranch) They're cool, fun, friendly and helpful. I have a funky prescription that many have messed up over the years. I have now had lenses put into two frames and ordered two full sets of glasses from Pearle. No issues with the prescription. Through no fault of theirs, a recent pair of glasses just didn't work. I felt sick and dizzy wearing them. They gave me a few options to try to figure out how to correct the problem. I ended up going with a different style of frames similar to the ones I have that work for me. They were so nice about the whole thing and have been pleased with all my experiences there. read more

I don't live in Georgetown, but was there hiking in local parks. My glasses broke (beyond repair) and I headed to Pearle Vision - the closest eyewear store. The staff was incredibly helpful. Initially they tried to replace my missing earpiece, but did not have a replacement that would fit. They then helped me find frames that would "take" the lenses, immediately did the switch, made sure the slight change in my "progressive lenses" did not impact my vision, gave me a discount on the frames (1/2 price!) and sent me on my way. I was traveling that day and did not have time to go home for a spare pair or get a new one. I was back on the road in about 30 minutes. Additionally, the staff was up-beat, joking appropriately with me as we tried on frames and fitted the final product. Kudos to Pearle Vision! read more

Do not give this establishment the time of day! Out to make as much money as they can is all I can denote from my past and most recent experience. A year and a half ago we decided to go with pearl vision and purchased a pair of progressive glasses. After three trips there and back (from Austin) Once to buy glasses, twice to pick them up only to find the lense prescription was made backwards and a third time to make sure they were finally made right and pick up. Fast forward to June 2014. I accidentally broke my frames and had to buy a new pair. They had one pair like my old one in stock but While putting the old lenses back in new frames the lense was cracked! No problem stuff happens and was told they would replace lenses. Finding out they would replace my lenses I was encouraged to get a new prescription since it had been a year and a half which I did today only to be told by the manager that they would replace my old lenses free of charge if I used the old prescription but if they replaced the lenses with the new prescription (which they told me to do) I got today it would range anywhere from $ 210.00-$278.00 dollars for the lenses to be remade!!! Of course this way of doing business is nothing more than fraud and telling a little bit of the truth but not all of it all for the sake of raking in more money for this pathetic francise...So yet another trip to Georgetown to give them the old presciption, out $ 40.00 for exam which I did not need and gas money to and from austin to drop off and pick back up.... The manger "Zeke" is a piece of work and is a bit on the weird side. If your flush with cash this is the place for you. Oh' and by the way Zeke also let me know that if they crack your lenses or break your frames it's on you! Pearle Vision in Wolf Ranch Town Center is outstanding! They carry all of the latest designer frames and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. This is my go to for glasses from now on. Heather is awesome and a lot of fun to talk to while she helps you spend your money. They have a great doctor on site or you can bring in a recent prescription to have your glasses made. I always get everything but transitions on my pair to include progressive lenses. You will be happy. read more

Very courteous and professional staff. They offer an advanced test to get an ever better look at your eyes for a small fee that is very worth it. The doctor was very thorough and explained everything very well. I noticed he is a glaucoma specialist which is also a big plus for anyone who may have that or be at risk for it. The only thing good was the receptionist. First and last time there. First visit was so brief and very limited. Dr Mark Birkmann spent maybe 10-15 minutes with me. Paid my "contact fitting fee of $35" and told to come back to try new contacts, told only a 5 minute visit. I returned, escorted back to exam room, handed my new contacts, put them in and the wait began. After 50 minutes I left, spoke to the receptionist and she apologized stating he was running late with and out of town patient. Would have been nice if I was informed. I left with new contacts without advice on the contacts. So for the next 3 weeks tried 3 different Rx for contacts. FINALLY found ones that worked. YEA!! They were the most expensive contacts. AFTER insurance my cost was close to $200 AND another $35 contact fitting cost.(glasses and contacts come from Pearle Vision). Pearl Vision said new contacts here 7-10 and they would call when in, they didn't as they were so busy they forgot! So I wore my new contacts for the 30 days and then on May 3rd I put a new pair in, WRONG RX!!!. Went into Pearle Vision and she claimed Dr. Birkmann gave them the wrong rx. Pearle Vision stated they will discuss with Dr and get new contacts ordered, and gave me samples to wear, 1 was correct rx and 1 was not. She gave me 2 different rx for one eye that WAS NOT my rx and informed to try them out. So since 02/25/19 I still have no contacts!!! All I can say now is RUN!!! read more

Bought a pair of frames at this place because my eye doctor didn't have a great selection at the time that i needed new glasses. Although frames are top brand name, it ended up being cheap and in the end defective apparently. Called Pear Vision to resolve by placing a warranty claim, and they took my contact information and never bothered to call back! So, I had to call again and engage them to try to resolve my issue. Was offered 1/2 off a different pair of frames after I had already spent $300 out of pocket on just lenses. Had to basically argue into getting a replacement. I will not do business with this place again, and will make sure to let friends and family know to stay away. Horrible customer service. read more
