The woman who helped me with a frame selection was very helpful and friendly and I have no complaint about her. However, some of Mann Eye Institute's policies are not customer friendly. They would not take a credit card. They would not take a check. They would take a cash payment if you give them the exact payment. (Apparently, no change would be given.) They would take a debit card, so that is what I used. However, I would have preferred to have paid with a credit card or a check. Their prices were higher than some other places I checked so in the end I saved $175.00 by purchasing the frames from them and having the lenses made elsewhere. read more

I was disappointed by the office staff here. I changed to this optometrist when my insurance changed. My exam and first visit went fine, no complaints. However, in dealing with the process to order more contacts I was not impressed with the service. Overall it felt like they (one person specifically) didn't want to help me. I had a couple of calls and it was less than the service/help I expected. The final straw was how it went when my husband picked up my contacts. The person had his feet up on the desk and basically just said there they are and pointed like he really couldn't be bothered. I guess I expect more friendly and professional service from somewhere I spend so much money. I called to let them know I would be switching optometrists and why but didn't seem to matter much. I was ready to have surgery based on the information I received . However, the billing department changed the amount I would owe three times. I finally canceled the procedure and was then billed for an office visit that I was told was a free evaluation. I will send them the $100 and I won't go back there or ever recommend their services. read more

Getting LASIK is something I've put off for far too long. I finally signed up using Mann Eye institutes web scheduler and it was insanely easy! The consultstion was free and the procedure went well and was very quick. They were very professional and talked me through exactly what to expect during the surgery. Follow up visits have been super easy thus far. The Georgetown location is a bit more convenient for me traveling from Waco for the follow-ups. Ashley at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful with my girlfriend looking at sunglasses while my followup commenced. Amy and Dr. Beavers were both very knowledgeable and friendly during the followup appointment and answered any questions I had. We had a nice chat about weekend plans and discussed hiking some! This is hands down the BEST eye practice I have ever been to. The staff and doctor were amazing and thorough. From the front office support, Ashley, to the doctor himself, Dr. Beavers. Ashley did an amazing job helping me to choose my glasses and other options that I wanted and walked me through the finances to see what the best rates were, given what I needed. Kelsey, the assistant who took all my eye measurements and completed my tests was so patient and willing to answer my questions (and I had a bunch!). She laughed and said I brought out her "inner teacher". And Amy, alongside Dr. Beavers finalized my process with smiles and laughs. And then after all this at the first appointment, Ashley surprised me once more by reaching out to me to ask if I would mind her submitting my order PRIOR to my making the payment on the upcoming Friday. Not only did the act itself surprise me, but when I didn't answer, she continued her quest to contact me! This office is simply THE BEST! I will never go to another eye place if I can help it!
