We live over an hour away and they tell me they sent to our correct Address the ine and only time someone actually answered and this time I called the make an appointment selection with a doctor since the store never answers and asked that person to confirm my address despite the fact the 1st person insisted they have my correct address. Sure enough this person gave me my old address. We did mail forward service and old post office never received my glasses either. The agent last week blamed ups saying they forgot to pick up the glasses but it's been 2 weeks now for a 1 to 2 day delivery. Someone is lying. I purchased my prescription lenses last week and I cannot see through the lenses. Everything is blurry. I have called numerous times, no answer, no callback. I called the customer service number on their website and the girl who answered took my name and put me on hold to investigate the situation and never came back. Instead, she sent me an electronic survey to ask if my problem was solved. I said no and the call ended. This is unacceptable. Now I have to go to the store in person and because I'm in a very rural area, the drive will take an hour and a half. I attempted to send an email to them from my phone via their website and the email wouldn't send when I clicked continue. They should close down if they don't want to take care of their customers. Rough start, the first lenses were not made correctly. Ruby took over, remeasured, sent them back and the lenses were re-made correctly. The second try, he gave me sound advice to help me adjust to the prescription change. The frame still needed just a bit of tweaking, seems to work better and feels comfortable. Ruby is a pleasure to talk to, is very knowledgeable, will address any concerns and is terrific to make sure your glasses fit properly. read more

I do not know how the doctors are in this store, but I highly recommend not buying glasses here! I had multiple issues getting my glasses repaired and returned to me. I was without my glasses for a long time as they "fixed" them, returning them to the lab twice. No one ever answers the phone at this place! I had to actually go to the store to see if my glasses were ready. And, I have gone to this store twice when they were "open" and NO ONE was in the store. Needed prescription glasses and sunglasses. Scheduled an appointment with Pearle Vision at Oaks mall, got my exam and ordered my glasses. They said I can only get a pair of lenses a year through my vision plan but gave me a 40% discount on the other pair. I was told it will take 2 weeks. They took my frame so meanwhile was using an old pair. Two weeks passed by so I called. They said sunglasses are done but prescription glasses failed inspection and need a few more days. I called back 2 weeks later. They said not available yet. I requested my frame back. A week later I called again and they said they're ready to be picked up but they did not install the new prescription lenses because they're on back order but when they get the lenses they'll call me again. I waited 2 weeks and called back was told they are sorry and will refund me and install the lenses for free when they get them. It's been more than 2 months and I don't trust they'll ever call me back. I have used my lens coverage for the sun glasses and will be charged full price if I go somewhere else. Stay away from this place! They're prices are so overinflated, it's ridiculous! The lady that you're forced to meet with after an exam, no doubt gets a commission on her sales! And, if you decide not to go with paying their 400% markup on glasses, they nearly double the cost of the eye exam!! Pros: the doctor was friendly, efficient and got my prescription right. Cons: the absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced when buying glasses. They were friendly enough, just incredibly incompetent. I had to make multiple trips and change frames three times because it seems that fitting glasses sometimes "takes a few visits". Huh?! I've been wearing glasses my whole life and never, ever had to make more than one visit to get the correct frames and get them properly fitted. A person of average intelligence would do a better job fitting frames after watching a YouTube video. Horrible service. Walked in to this location to find new pair of prescription glasses. While looking at frames the manager approached me to ask if I needed any help. I began to explain what I was looking for when a friend of hers interrupted. Without hesitation or excusing herself, she went to handle her friend leaving me in mid sentence. I waited a minute or two hoping this was just standard rude behavior, but she never returned. I approached the manager and told her the this behavior is unacceptable. Pearle Vision's logo indicates "if you don't love your new glasses for any reason, we will exchange, Adjust or repair within 30 days of purchase." Well three weeks after I received my glasses on March 16, 2020 I took them back. The customer service person told me to pick another lens that they would exchange it at no charge. Once COVID happened I had to call for info and finally in the beginning I'd May someone indicated that due to COVID the glasses were delayed and I would receive them in two weeks. In two weeks when I go to get my glasses they made the wrong ones and they had no information about the ones I picked. It took me another hour to pick my glasses and for them to put my order in and still today July 1, 2020 I do not have my glasses, every time I call they indicate that the lab has sent my order but they keep pushing back the date. So. After a procedure at the hospital my nurse had these absolutely to die for Tiffany glasses on I was determined to get! She told me she went to Pearl Vision at the Oaks Mall so I just had to go. I went to Pearl Vision to get an eye exam and glasses, Carla was such a professional, sweet, kind hearted and attentive clerk there. I loved the doctor you could tell automatically he too was a kind hearted man, I was very impressed on not only the service but how welcoming everyone there was. They didn't have the glasses I wanted in stock but they had a gorgeous selection and also told me they have new frames come in weekly, some of the frames were pricey but they were name brand and their fashion design was modern and unique, nothing I've seen at any of the other optical salons in Gainesville, Florida. I walked in and instantly was able to be helped and make an appointment. The Doctor and staff is amazing and friendly. I felt very comfortable. It's clean and has a nice feel. I have now visited their office for the fourth and final time within 8 months and my prescription still not right. They are more concern about charging each time than getting it right. When I refused to pay the fourth time, they had me sit outside the room and kept taking while they held lenses over my eyes. Apparently, they had to charge to take me back to exam room. Very unprofessional. Customer satisfaction is not one of their criteria. This location is now family owned, and you feel it. Matt helped me out and did everything in his power to keep me in my target price range. And Dr. Griffin was so talkative, double checking everything to make sure my prescription would be correct. It's was to tell that he's a very smart man and knows what he's doing. I have been using Ted Brinks and Associates for my families eye care for years now. Recently, they have moved from the Pearle Vision business into the Lenscrafters location. I have noticed a lot of new faces working behind the desk and the customer service has since been atrocious. In the past I have had a wonderful experience at the eye doctor. There was no stress and I knew that we were taken care of. Now, there are employees that don't seem to know how to answer any of my questions or help me solve my problems. Others are rude and short with me...no sense of humor. My daughter wears Dailies Contact Lenses and when we purchase those we are given a rebate. The doctors office offers to handle the rebate for you. Big Mistake!! I get a postcard a month later stating that the UPC code was not sent with the rebate. I go to the mall and take them a new UPC code. They tell me that they are out of stamps and it would be quicker if I went back home and mailed it myself with my own stamp. I have been trying to go online and check the status of my rebate, but the doctors office has all of the information to do that. When I call up there....no one can help me. Apparently, the manager is not in the office and they have all of the rebate information with them......really?? I am so fed up with Ted Brinks and Associates front desk and I will be taking the business of my three family members elsewhere! read more
