Dr.Quinn is a phenomenal physician, however, since…read moreoffice management has changed it is obvious that they now value profit more than patient satisfaction. I have both health insurance and Humana exam and materials vision insurance. My exam today was an annual exam to get prescription updates for both glasses and contacts. This is covered with a $10 copay with my vision insurance. I did agree for "additional" tests which I was told would be scheduled a few months later which would require the use of my health insurance at that time. However when I left my visit, without having the "additional testing" which I was told would cost $65.00 at a later date, I was presented with a $127 copay, and they used my health insurance instead of vision insurance. I didn't purchase contacts/glasses- and did NOT agree to any additional testing other than what I was told would be scheduled at a later date. Quinn eye center office mgt. chose to use my health insurance instead of my vision insurance adding one item (which I had NOT previously agreed to not been informed of cost) claiming they were "saving" me money. When I attempted to resolve this issue, speaking with both Christine and John Michael, I received 2 different rationales for this cost. I cannot recommend an eye doctor who charges a $127 copay for annual eye exam when the patient has vision insurance that would cover these items with only a $10.00 copay. After appointment, I called my Humana vision insurance representative who indeed told me that both contact and eyeglass prescriptions are included in their annual eye exam with only a $10 copay. It is very sad because we have been loyal patients for years. I CANNOT in good conscience recommend them any more.

My daughter kept having recurring pink eye. The urgent cares would prescribe medicine for bacterial pink eye. Dr. Monahan found she had viral pink eye and that was why it would get better then come back. She prescribed us a different medication and it cleared up. I couldn't get my daughter back for her follow up and it was a few weeks after when I was supposed to take her there. The lady that answers the phone told me I would have to pay for another appointment because of the delay in getting her back for the follow up. Dr. Monahan did the eye exam, told me my daughters eye was 95% healed. She prescribed us some more of the medication that got her eye healed to have on hand if it flares up again and to put 1 drop in for the next 2 weeks. After the exam she walked us out, she saw me going over to pay for the appointment and told me that I didn't have to pay because it was a follow up (which wasn't what the phone lady told me). She is so kind. I am completely blown away by the whole operation! I was paying $150-200 for at the Urgent Care places to get medication and they weren't even treating the right problem. Dr. Monahan was $68 for the appointment, the follow up and a new prescription to have on hand if I needed it. Nothing I can say will express the level at which I recommend Dr. Monahan especially if you have a young child. I give her a 11/10!

Thornebrook Optical has become my sole source since I tried them about a decade ago. They have a nice selection of good quality frames without being overwhelming. More important, Frank is extremely skillful as well as helpful. He has fitted me for distance glasses, progressives, prescription sunglasses. His advice about frames (e.g. whether they are sturdy, how they fit my face) has always been accurate and helpful. Each time I have been completely satisfied with the glasses. He leaves you all time you wish browsing and trying on different styles, and then when you are ready for his assistance gives you his undivided attention. And whenever I feel my glasses may need an adjustment, he takes care of it. It is always a pleasure to do business there. I cannot recommend it any more highly.

When they didn't do the exams they had my wife in for, he flipped out when she asked why. He started screaming get out of my office. He chased her to the reception area. That is why I know of him. He took care of my parents and their cataracts and my mother's glaucoma and my OWN "suspected structure" for glaucoma. He is very careful and very precise. He doesn't skip anything. The staff haven't been any problem. Yes, he has assistance who will see you first before he does and it can take a while. You're seeing a surgeon specialist when you go to see him. He's got a lot of patients. I haven't seen anybody griping like these two jerks did in here who now make it look like this is a one star place when it's actually the premiere place for getting glaucoma checked for in this area. Dr Fanous remembers all his patients and he's a very nice man. He works his tail off from what I have seem. He doesn't do this for the money because he would've already retired by now. I am appalled that the only reviews here when I arrived were by two people that haven't even been to the office but once and didn't even see him and didn't get to know his work and don't know what they're talking about. I don't think that should be allowed. I think you should have to actually be seen by a doctor before you review him. He is such a highly skilled doctor that he is sought internationally and has even gone overseas to provide care pro bono at times. I haven't ever had any problem with Dr Fanous's work and I've been going to him since around 2009. The only thing I noticed recently that could be better is that he has switched recently to a web billing that is confusing but that just started recently. I kind of liked the regular billing people that he previously used but again this is something very recent and it isn't something that's a big deal and it's not something that the two hit pieces that I see on this page referenced. They were just out to slime him over having to wait or being scheduled for a first visit his normal way -- NEITHER SMEAR AUTHOR ACTUALLY WENT TO AN APPOINTMENT WITH HIM. He's not doing anything unusual in his office procedure. I'm giving him five stars because he's that good and he's done very good cataracts work as a surgeon too with my father. He absolutely deserves that and more for his long years of skillful service and attentive care.
