I was sad when many vision insurance changed and I could no longer go there. After Walmart I tried Lens Crafters which I hated! Comparing this place with both of those places, the doctor is way friendlier. They have convenient times for appointments. They're cheaper than Lens Crafters, but not as cheap as Walmart... or maybe it's just that they don't have as large of a selection as Walmart. One thing they do differently is that you don't look at the wall to find your own glasses. You give them some information on what you'd like, then they bring you a bunch of glasses to try. I can't decide if I like this better or not but I did get glasses that I like and I didn't take nearly as long picking them out since I didn't have to find them on my own. Overall I'd say I like this place over most Eye Doctors and would recommend them to anyone.

I was able to get an appointment quickly and thought the office staff and doctor were nice and on time. It was a great visit. Today I visited again with my son who is about three years old. I was a little nervous for my toddler to go through the exam and get his eyes dilated, but had some concerns about his eyesight and so thought it was for the best. Everyone in the office greeted him and helped him feel comfortable before and during his exam. The administrative staff gave him special attention and told him he was brave during the dilation process and offered stickers to distract him. The staff person that started the exam and the doctor both were excellent with him and made him feel comfortable the whole time. It was such a relief to me that they made the process so easy!

Hello, I went there to get my first glasses ever at 46. I work on computers and was having some…read moretrouble with smaller fonts on the monitors. I went there for glasses and was not really questioned on how I would use them. I facilitate in person meetings weekly from a computer to participants in a large room. I need to glasses to work for reading the computer then needed to be able to see and address the room. The glasses they made for me were only for reading. So, when looking at the room everything was blurry. When I made them aware of the issue they told me that I would have to pay another $300 to get new lenses that would work for both. This was after already paying $300 + after my insurance. This is what I needed for them onset, but feel like they just ordered what they wanted without asking me. Since this was my first pair of glasses I didn't know what to ask for but made them aware I never wore glasses before. Now, I am constantly taking them off and on during this huge part of my job and what I needed the glasses for.

I cannot speak to the entirety of the staff of the location, as I didn't get past the waiting area. The person working behind the desk was pretty rude. I filled out the forms as it was my first time. After waiting for about 15 minutes, the lady behind the desk calls me by the wrong name and tells me (in an accusatory tone) my insurance is no good there. I explain that I had called previously and was told my insurance was fine - the location was on a list of providers from my insurance as well. No dice. She told me I must be wrong. So I left.

The staff fitted me with trial lenses that expired in JULY 2023 -- over 2.5 years ago! This is a massive safety violation. When I caught this error and asked for a refund of my $110 fee or to speak with the doctor, the administrator refused and pointed me to the door. I had to ask them to call the police to document this medical negligence. I never even saw the doctor to discuss this error, yet they still charged my VSP insurance, stealing my benefits for the entire year. This place is dangerous, unprofessional, and fraudulent. I have photos of the expired packaging and my receipt as proof. If you value your eye health, find a different clinic!"

Every visit is part checkup, part learning about what's going on in advanced in treatment of cataracts or what eye ailments affect different regions of the world or something like that. It may not be your cup of tea, but it's wonderful to a need like me, and reassuring that my eye health is in the hands of someone who is so knowledgeable about his field.

I have been seeing Dr. Blair for 12 years or so for my Keratoconus. He started me on scleral lenses…read morefrom day 1 as I was wearing standard hard contacts before that. Things were pretty good for years but something changed and they now only care about getting more money out of you. Dr Blair has never been very good at listening and comes off as condescending at times. They tried to get me to pay a few hundred dollars more for some different brand contact lenses even though my insurance pays 100% for my medically necessary contacts. I said NO and they weren't happy about that but they said fine. I did continue going back for a few years and every year the doctor kept trying to tell me that they were going to be discontinuing the contacts I have been getting and I will have to get the more expensive ones. I am in a Facebook group for scleral lenses and there are several eye DR.'s in the group that said they absolutely are NOT discontinuing them. I just don't trust a doctor that lies to me. I found a new eye doctor and have better vision than I ever had with Dr. Blair. My new eye doctor has had several patients that switch from Dr. Blair and she said they have all had experiences similar to mine with Dr. Blair and his office. If you are looking for a new eye doctor, keep looking. There are better alternatives out there. My new eye doc is Dr. Kristin Gunn at Opticare in Fort Mitchel KY and she is fantastic.
