Everything was fine until it came time to actually get my glasses. I was initially told it would be 7-10 days. After two weeks I finally called and was told someone made a mistake with one of the lenses and it would be four more days until the glasses came in. Another week has now passed and I called this morning. Was told there was a "breakage" on the sixth so the glasses are still not available and I have no time available to pick up. All of this seems a little shady to me that they have messed up the glasses twice, in two different ways, and never took any time to communicate anything to me until I called. Is there something else going on that they aren't telling me for some reason? In any case, stay FAR AWAY from this place. They are not trustworthy - and maybe it's all LensCrafters that are terrible, I don't know. In any case, I was told that the person on the phone would call me back in 15-20 minutes to process a refund. That did happen, but I then discovered that they will not refund my debit card over the phone so I have to make the hour drive (each way) to the store to get a refund. Been going to this same location for over 5 years now and never have had an issue, they are always very attentive and kind, it has always been maybe 2 to 3 employees since I can remember which may be the reason of the low ratings but they do their best to be helpful and respectful, I just tend to not go on the weekends to avoid much traffic. read more

Beware of hidden costs. We went to the eye doctor at LensCrafters having a $10 copay for our checkup. They said it would be another $25 for the photo instead of dilating our eyes. $70 for the two of us is fine. They have a clause that says they can charge for things without telling you. I didn't sign it, after our check up they added on an extra $130 that we didn't approve for services we didn't absolutely need. Do not go here, find somewhere else that is more honest about pricing and more transparent that doesn't perform unauthorized services and say "well we did them so you have to pay for it" Our $20 visit became $240 even though we have eye insurance. Went in for a new pair of glasses after my eye exam and a lady by the name of Kathy I believe assisted me and was super helpful and was sure to fill me in on all of my options. I expected it to take a few weeks to receive the glasses but they were able to get my lenses in my frames with in an hour of my appointment! I was so impressed. She even updated my personal info as well to make sure that when my glasses were ready that I would be contacted. When I was there another customer came in and was yelling at the staff and even though under pressure the staff still maintained a professional demeanor. It's good to see that during a major pandemic that the store was abiding by safety guidelines and taking precautions like sanitation of the model glasses and still maintaining to provide superb customer service read more

I just wasted 25 minutes of my life here, not including the time it takes to write this. It is a horrific business practice to allow a customer to enter your store without acknowledging them. It's even worse to allow that to go on for several minutes. When the potential customer is morbidly curious, and waits 20+ minutes for any employee to acknowledge his presence, there is a problem. I was so disappointed. Bought my glasses 2 years ago, Brooks Brother frames, spent over $500. The left ear piece broke and I took them in to get it replaced and they told me they don't repair frames. Such a rip off. I wear daily disposable contacts and only wear my glasses rarely. Horrible customer service. I'm going to go to Eyemart where my husband goes. Don't waste your money ! Ophthalmologist informed us they are the worst for screwing up lenses and he is correct . My glasses from LensCrafters are terrible. They make up for shoddy lenses with a large selection of overly priced frames and lenses. After damaging a pair of previously purchased Oakley frames, I returned to the Florence Mall store to swap the lenses into new frames - $169.90 for the new frames only. After my new complete set arrived at Costco - $270.00, I called LensCrafters to inquire about new lenses for the new frames. I was told they would call me back. They did. They had to have my information in front of them because they knew my purchases. They told me to come in and get their current "50 off lens sale" . The said if I waited it would cost $190.00 for lenses. I went to the store. They now said lenses would be $246.00 at half off. Really. "Oh that was for single vision". They had to know my prescription as I stated. When I said no, they then said "we have a basic bifocal for $146.00, which was "half price". There is no half price because I purchased this pair at "full price" for the same as half price lenses. The idea is to get the customer into the store and high pressure them into a purchase because they know the lenses may not be available at all later. Believe it or not, Walmart and Costco may the best lenses and LensCrafters make the worst. Your ophthalmologist can verify it. At LensCrafters its all about the $$$. read more

The staff and I doctor were fine. I have no complaints with them. On the other hand the prices of their contact lenses are ridiculous. To start off they charge $65 sizing fee. I have been to other doctors who don't charge any fee. It seems like part of the insurance scam. They want you to think you are saving by having vision insurance so they sneak in a bunch of fees. The cost of the contact lenses cost 350% more than the contacts I found online and didn't come with a free pair of glasses like the ones I found online. They would not price match or reduce it. He claims their prices were the lowest possible prices set by insurance companies. read more

I didn't expect that the anti-glare coating on my lenses from Lenscrafters would make it nearly impossible to see clearly in less than three years, but that was the problem. Furthermore, the replacement cost was nearly the cost of the original pair. When you spend that much money on glasses, and would have had to have paid extra for a second year warranty, and still have them fail within three years, I don't see them as a good value. And no, my prescription didn't change that much in those three years. I'm going to use another optical, even if it's more money, to see if I can get better quality. read more

The opticians at this LensCrafters location are absolutely horrible. They schedule ten minutes for your appointment (even though you are in the office for 1 1/2 hours). Rushing through the exam is their idea of good service. Insisting on slower, more careful service seems to really irritate them. Getting your eyes examined isn't the same as walking into an $8 haircut salon. Speed is NOT the priority. So slow it up guys and treat your customers with a little more respect. read more

So after years of wearing glasses, I decided to not buy glasses at my regular place and to come here to LensCrafters to get my new glasses. Worst mistake ever. I picked up my first pair of glasses here, which were uncomfortable. So I returned to have the adjusted. After that they were comfortable but the focus was crap. So back to the store. This continued 5 (FIVE) visits before I finally insisted they "make it right" and swap out frames. Great. 50 bucks later I have a pair of frames that finally fit correctly. 5 days, just 5 days later I break the frames (bad me). So back to LensCrafters. When I get here I'm told "oh we no longer have those frames". What?!? 5 days later? So now I have to buy another pair even though I bought their "insurance". Complete bullshit. I'll never buy another pair of glasses here. The place is a straight up rip off. Go to Vision One in Crestview. Great doctors and honest treatment not like this place at all. Finally I originally went to LenCrafters instead of Vision One to save money on my glasses. What I got was a pair of lens that are not the quality by far, the anti glare is a joke, and I've spent considerable MORE money. At this point I'd be happy if LensCrafters just refunded ALL my money, I don't expect they are capable of providing quality glasses. read more

People at the desk were rude and inconsiderate from the time I got there until I finally got out the door. Now 36 hrs later & my eyes are still sore and fuzzy vision. I called to make an appointment at one pm on Saturday, I said I would like to make an appointment for an eye exam and to get glasses. The "Lady" who answered the phone said "Darling you called at our absolute busiest time you gonna have to hold, and without further ado she put me on hold where I waited for ten minutes before I hung up. I would not have called back if not for the fact that someone at my church was helping me to get these glasses and they had asked me to make an appointment with them. So hoping that the "Lady" I had spoke to previously had maybe been under alot of pressure or had just stubbed her toe or something and my last encounter had been an aberration or something I called back at 4:30 pm and spoke to a woman named Karen. Any hope that my first encounter was an aberration quickly dissipated. I began again by asking to make an appointment for an eye exam and to get glasses, where upon Karen stated briskly and bluntly "You cannot get an appointment before Wednesday."The way she said it I felt like she wanted me to go somewhere else, although for the life of me I could not understand why. Do they really have so much business that they are literally running people off? So I responded that I was hoping to get an appointment for Friday. She asked me who my insurance was with and was it vision or medical. I gave her the name of my insurance carrier and unsurprisingly at this point she bluntly stated we do not accept them. Do you have Medicare? I told her we will probably pay cash, and she responded " It will cost you ninety-five dollars just for the prescription to get your glasses! Do you still want this appointment? It is not just what she said but the rude and abrupt way she spoke to me. Like i said before it was like she was deliberately trying to insult me into going somewhere else. I went ahead and made the appointment but after reading these other reviews I am going to talk to my friends and find somewhere else to get my glasses. I had outstanding service at this LensCrafters location, specifically due to the general manager, Angie. My brother was in the hospital and he had lost his glasses in the accident. Not only that, but he has really terrible vision, and was not able to see well while he was awake. Must've been really awful! Anyway, after procuring his prescription from the next-door optometrist, Angie took it upon herself to not only move forward with having some glasses made for him with his prescription (there was an issue finding him in their system) and hand-deliver them to my brother in the hospital. She didn't bat an eye, she just quickly said "I would be happy to drop them off on my way to work." My family has been extremely busy and tired, needless to say, so this amazingly kind and generous act was SO appreciated, more than words. Thank you Angie. read more
